  1. Kinda explains why it felt like this week's Panthers social feed felt a little quieter than normal this past week. Amie will be sorely missed by lots of us, but can't hate her reasoning. Amie Kiehn, the wizard behind the Panthers’ entertaining social media feeds, stepped down from her coveted job last week to spend more time with her 3-year-old son. We wanted to give her a little space to say goodbye. https://charlotte.axios.com/285099/farewell-message-for-panthers-fans-from-social-media-guru-amie-kiehn/ (original story here. Thought it was previously shared on the Huddle, but can't find it quickly -- https://charlotte.axios.com/255917/the-woman-behind-the-panthers-social-media-and-her-miracle-child/)
  2. Which fanbase is the most miserable? According to a survey of NFL fans across the country, it's the Detroit Lion fans that are viewed as being the most miserable about their team's achievements (or lack thereof). #2 was Cleveland, and #3 was the Jets. Somehow, the Cowboys ranked #4. The Panthers fanbase was viewed as being the #26th most miserable (or 7th least miserable, depending on your viewpoint. In the same survey, respondents were asked if they ever got emotionally upset about their favorite team. Which NFL fans are most likely to cry over their football team, whether if be because the team lost a game, won (or lost) the Super Bowl, favorite player left the team, or other scenarios...? #1 was the Cowboys (makes sense, I suppose), with the Patriots and Packers at #2 and #3. The Panthers ranked at #25 on this list. https://www.lineups.com/articles/saddest-nfl-fans/
  3. I think it's more Olivia, and CMC just happens to be there. (Maybe he's the one taking the bulk of her photos?)
  4. with Olivia, of course, to the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedrgal (sounds fancy, but I think the two of them can afford it) Always the gentleman, Christian sacrificed his sweatshirt so Olivia wouldn't get kicked off the plane for "inappropriate attire". https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10408305/Olivia-Culpo-flaunts-childhood-sculpted-abs-red-bikini-cruise-Sea-Cortez-squad.html Then again... looks like the sweatshirt look was only temporary...
  5. The game WAVELENGTH sounds interesting group-play eligible. Kinda like a verbal/codenames version of Price Is RIght's CLIFFHANGER game from what I can tell.
  6. Gave that to a niece, but hadn't heard back on whether she's enjoyed it or not. What's the premise, hows the gameplay?
  7. Both teams look to be playing better than we did yesterday.
  8. Seen on the twitter: Which suggests that the opinion shared back in November might still be valid.
  9. Funny, funny stand up. Booo.
  10. Romo is right… our defense improved TREMENDOUSLY this year. Let’s give everyone on that side of the ball their props. Next year, we get to focus on the offense and the OL. process is working!
  11. sports couldn't happen without people like him. From college football cathedrals on Saturdays to raucous NFL stadiums on Sundays, with thousands of kids' soccer fields in between, the port-a-potty is an unsung hero for most outdoor sporting events in the U.S. If you trace the rise of big-time sports in America and the boom of the port-a-potty business over the past 50 years, it's like the two things are dancing together. The portable bathroom business is at $17 billion and rapidly growing, largely because of the constant need at sporting events. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32992761/the-secret-mvp-sports-porta-potty
  12. We'll know for certain if Luke comes back fast in whatever role he'd like if/when we get a new HC.
  13. wonder if this is something Olsen saw a'coming, too? "The TE is another long term Rivera veteran who is electing not to play for Matt Rhule"
  14. ....at least, in the currently scheduled Super Bowl stadium in LA. Reports are coming out that suggest the NFL is evaluating alternative venues to act as a backup location -- Dallas and Vegas among those being contacted about their availability. (Good thing we don't have to worry about changing our Panthers travel plans for this particular event. Or probably next year's as well.) https://www.wfaa.com/article/sports/nfl/att-stadium-among-possible-super-bowl-lvi-replacement-venue-options-nfl-confirms-covid-sofi-stadium-california-dallas-cowboys-backup-host-los-angeles/287-a081b355-85e7-40c4-94d7-794cb4d89acc
  15. Haven't read the books (yet). As someone not familiar with the source material -- we enjoyed the first season. We also felt that the final episode and some of the plot pacing was weird, but it didn't detract from us enjoying what was being presented. (we also found we needed to watch with subtitles turned on, to help differentiate unfamiliar names/places)
  16. Oh no - now she's selling fart NFTs (at about $191 apiece)
  17. This person was farting into jars, and selling them for $1000 apiece. She was able to sell 50 jars a week before finding herself hospitalized for excessive gas buildup. https://www.ladbible.com/community/woman-who-made-37000-a-week-selling-farts-has-been-hospitalised-20220104
