  1. Better summary: Starts with 2023 season, runs through 2033 season MNF flex starts in week 12 Amazon gets TNF ABC gets back into the Super Bowl rotation ESPN+ will get "an exclusive (international) game" each year Peacock will get "an exclusive feed of a select number of games" ESPN/ABC will have three weeks on MNF with different games on each channel.... in addition to a Saturday doubleheader the final week of the season CBS games will be carried on Paramount+ *no word on whether these will be geo-restricted FOX games will be carried on TUBI *no word on whether these will be geo-restricted FOX gets Xmas day games when schedule allows And no mention of DirecTV and Sunday Ticket.
  2. The hits keep coming. MNF gets the ability to flex games too, so SNF doesn't get the only lucky part of the draw. Will make traveling for games a bit more complicated late in the season, which is exactly what @RoaringRiot has been asking for, right?
  3. They have the technology to do it. And knowing how to handle/recover from the Mandalorian/WandaVision crashes on the Disney+ side of the fence just helps them build a better streaming network. It may not be that much extra $. ESPN+ can come as a package deal with Hulu and Disney+, so some folks may already have it (and may not even know it). And if Disney can figure out the tech to do it.... some people may balk at paying an extra $300 for all the games... but there'll be a fair number who'll say $100 just for a single team's games? That's the hook.
  4. This is for the 2023 season, by the way. ESPN+ is currently $60/year... or different monthly packages that could range up to $20/month (your mileage may vary). No word on whether football would be an extra price or not. Thursday night games go to Amazon Prime for out-of-market games; stay on local TV if they're local teams per usual process.
  5. Looks like Sunday Ticket on DirecTV is dead. New home: ESPN+ More info to come. Congrats to Disney for this one -- they found a way to get money from the cord-cutters who stopped paying the cable ESPN fee.
  6. Seen on https://www.eonline.com/news/1230123/naya-rivera-s-ex-ryan-dorsey-praises-strong-and-brave-son-josey It doesn't take much to actually, you know, have an editor REVIEW your news story before you post it.
  7. As we're almost hitting the 30 year mark ourselves, perhaps it's worthwhile to note that some NFL teams were perennial laughing stocks of the entire league for years and years before finding success to stay in the Top Five (or Top Ten). We've been relatively lucky in having a minimum of horrible seasons among the larger number of mediocre and fantastic runs. Have the Panthers ever been referred to as a "laughing stock" or a given Easy Win outside of singular seasons? I don't recall that being the case, but I could be wrong. Those monikers have certainly been applied to a number of other teams we know... If memory serves me correctly, we've been typically in the Top Half of NFL rankings the vast majority of our years, so not nearly as horrible as another team that joined the league in the mid 90's has been over the same timeframe... A reminder talking about how horrible the Patriots used to be: https://samuelburleigh.medium.com/when-the-patriots-were-nfl-s-laughingstock-a-look-back-on-the-pre-brady-patriots-61415e4e1ba4
  8. Random Q - do you ever find your amazing photos stolen by news organizations who don't give you the $$ or credit? (there's a story from this past weekend about a photo the NYPost paid for being lifted off that site by CBS Radio and CBS TV and used without credit -- the photog is suing CBS for damages up to $150k per work, plus attorney's fees.... along with infringement cost of $2500 per work up to $25k for the lack of credit)
  9. Tell me again that story about how the Panthers "haven't played any good teams" this season.
  10. I've paced back and forth in front of the TV during the first half, my Fitbit shows that *I* have more yards than the Cardinals do
  11. Waiting for the inevitable "This is Cam, be like Cam" meme to come out...
  12. Too many peeps injured in 1st half. We need folks to Step Up more than ever for 3Q/4Q.
  13. They're running out of kids to give TD balls to. This is a good problem to have.
  14. Unfortunate caption, @Jeremy Igo? I'm sure ESPN didn't do it on purpose. (as seen during ESPN segment on Las Panteras de Carolina)
  15. Not just the Carolina schools: . . . .
  16. trust me, happy happy happy happy sweet caroline, etc etc.
  17. Watching Cam's post-game interview, you could tell that he REALLY wanted that 16-0. He winced when he was asked about 15-1. But the real funked up stuff was on the video board behind him. Why are NFL players trading their jerseys on the field with each other this year? Really ticks me off. (go ahead and to that stuff behind-the-scenes)
  18. (halftime question) Did ESPN air any Panthers footage during their 10a-12p NFL Pregame? Thought they filmed some stuff this week with Ditka?
  19. Good for Finnegan to pull Norman away. Norman's going to get us in trouble one of these days
  20. If you're referring to this Grammy Award, then likely so:
  21. mmmmm, I don't know. This may or may not be true. I looked in the Northside Hospital baby registry and didn't see "15" listed.
  22. Well, MY best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Cam pass out ice cream cones at 31 Flavors in Atlanta over Christmas. I guess it's pretty serious.
