Ahhhhh memories of the playoffs. It seems like a fever dream it’s been so long

I can’t argue much about how bad he looked. However, he also showed some signs that he could make tough throws. He did have the worst in the league head coach throughout the year, the worst offensive game plan, the worst receiving threats in the league, one of the worst lines in the league, and I don’t think you could debate that. How can you completely write him off under those circumstances coming in as a rookie? We will see this season coming up, I’m waiting until after this season to judge him, it’s the hardest position in the league to learn and I don’t think any QB in the league would have been successful last season

I get that he sucked last year, but the optimist in me ask how any QB would be successful last year, much less as a rookie. Things like this don’t just disappear. He has many many examples just a year prior that proves he can make throws anywhere on the field. His college tape is phenomenal.

It will be interesting to see how he recovers from the torn ACL. I’m sure the medical will be a very important part of the meeting

I hate he got hurt last year, and through the roughest stretch in our history, he has been the leader who truly want last to see the turnaround happen. He has made team moves multiple times now when he didn’t have to.

Our trade with the Steelers is looking better and better after what Ridley just got

The plan is to get him to perform at the stadium. That’s Teppers main concern.

I can’t stand the guy. I hope we can turn our team around soon because nothing would make me happier than to start sweeping the Saints year after year. They aren’t rebuilding, and still can’t make the playoffs in this horrible division.

One of the very best players in the NFC South also happens to be one of the division’s very best trolls. We learned on Tuesday that free-agent pass rusher and former second overall pick Chase Young will be visiting the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints this week. But longtime Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan doesn’t seem to think his foes over in Charlotte have much of a chance to sign the 2020 Defensive Rookie of the Year . . . Young made a round out west this past season, as he was moved from the Washington Commanders to the San Francisco 49ers at the trade deadline in October. He went on to play in 12 total games for the eventual NFC champions—totaling 16 combined tackles, 3.5 sacks and eight quarterback hits. With the Panthers having just lost two-time Pro Bowler Brian Burns and fellow linebacker Frankie Luvu, the team’s leading sack artists in 2023, Young would be a pretty solid get. He’s going to Ball out on a money year deal. I don’t even want to think about a single negative with this guy……we have some actual speed on the team so I don’t want to hear any negative thoughts right now, let me be happy for a minute

If we sign one of these pass rushers who is visiting and another vet CB, we won’t be too bad heading into the draft. I say bring back Shaquill Griffin if we can for depth

Not against either and would love Samuel, but I believe Hollywood is better than Samuel.

He was on IR with the knee injury. He’s a difference maker when healthy

Speed kills and the high 2nd round pick would make the entire offense DEEP. Mingo and the 2nd round rookie would be the larger WR’s but Johnson, Brown, and Smith-Marsette as the speed, Thielen as the slot

Tell me a better FA WR we could sign that would be better. The league would take notice….that would be an extremely upgraded offensive lineup compared to LY.

And draft a stud WR of this deep upcoming draft class with the 1st pick in the 2nd round. Tell me Young would not be set up for the ultimate surrounding cast in order to truly evaluate his skills set as “The guy”. So much speed, and we can easily afford to do it. I get it but we are still thin at the position. and he does have more talent than what it would take to replace him. We save absolutely nothing by cutting him, it actually cost us over 23k to cut him to not play for us so that wouldn’t make much sense. He’s on the last year of his deal

Why would he be gone? He can actually fill a role for us and it cost us money to cut him…we save nothing

Said it before, said it in another thread and I’ll say it again…..Sign Hollywood Brown for the speed and draft a Target with the 2nd round pick or picks with a WR, TE, or both

If we were to sign a top free agent WR like Ridley or Hollywood Brown and a 2nd tier like Curtis Samuel, along with a Center, I’d feel good about getting some young talent in the draft. We can’t fix this team in one offseason being that we are actually rebuilding. Focus on the offense this year, defense next year and use some of that future money to go ahead and lock down Brown.

Free agency just started up today. Only one person from that list had a good year and we just added a top 3 guard in the league. I get being upset about what we got in return for Burns, but we are truly rebuilding this team. We can sign many more people with burns off the books. We had a couple good players from that 2 win team; and Luvu was the only one I cared about if he stayed. Im not mad if we totally focus on rebuilding the offense year one. It’s needed and we have the smart portion of FA and the draft to go.

I wouldn’t be upset at all with this if we were able to re sign Luvu. My question for the ones who are going off the deep end is this…..if you just took control of the team and tagged Burns, knowing he wouldn’t play on the tag and knowing you would have to sign him to a mega deal, if the highest return you could get from a team willing to Meet his salary demands is a 2nd and a 5th, what route would you have taken?
