  1. And doubling down on dumb. Imagine if he gets his butt handed to him in civil court or he turns in CMC with an infestation of injury bugs. All you have to show for it is a depleted roster and no real future in the draft for the next several years. So stupid for one player.
  2. I thought the Rams were the late contender, not us? The deal was all but done (Stafford to the Panthers) when McVay invited the Stafford family to Cancun and the rest is is history. Point being, the better offer got declined because the player wanted to go elsewhere. If Watson does end up with a team other than Carolina, don't be shocked if we actually had the best offer on the table.
  3. Hmmm, I'm not turning down a huge payday for my family to go work for my best friend. Sure that played into it, but LA>Charlotte, Rams roster>Panthers roster and Rams coaching>Panthers coaching. The familiarity was a perk, but Stafford wanted no part of this mess.
  4. Nah, that would be batting .1000 for this franchise under this regime. I mean if that were a prop bet, I'd be willing to throw scratch at it.
  5. We outbid the Rams for Stafford's services too, but we all know how that turned out. Tepper can't figure out why people don't want to come here. I wonder how much longer his short-order cook/sloppy dressed bro-mance with Rhule is going to last?
  6. Excuse me...was charged, but was found not guilty. The civil portion played out very differently if I remember correctly. Watson got caught with his pants down...literally, but whether or not his accusers get their justice, who knows? I said earlier some of the women probably piled on for a payday. How many? Who knows, but not all of them.
  7. Wasn't charge...glad to know lawyers work for truth and not money. OJ wasn't charged either...just saying.
  8. Wow, 31 posts and you think your boss dude? Let me break it down for you, the dude is a rapist and while good, is not on the level of elite...not to mention the ransom we give up for it while still being managed by this three-ring circus. Pardon me for not feeling all giddy about the present state of affairs in Panthers-land. So take your 31 posts and YOU get lost.
  9. This guy gets it. Especially with their cap situation. They would be in immediate win now mode before their bloated salaries necessitate a full-blown rebuild in a year or two. They would need to pull a Bucs or Rams trick, but I don't think they can pull it off.
  10. Not a hard sell as Tepper is a Pittsburgh guy and Pickett is the hometown kid. Actually, it wouldn't shock me if Tepper liked Pickett more than Rhule.
  11. So we can see Rhule chuckling on the sidelines as we are getting killed and look somber the next day in the press conference saying if the tackle had longer arms, the QB could have been protected better....or something like that.
  12. So much for Watson coming here to roll over the NFCS, lol. Brady knows this division is trash and getting to playoffs is the easy part, it's just getting to and winning the Super Bowl.
  13. At this point, we are going to have to agree to disagree. There's too many other variables to make Watson a 'silver bullet' solution in my opinion, even putting the legal troubles aside.
  14. So we get one good year out of him before he bolts in FA. Great! Y'all make it look like dude actually wants to be here and will be a Panther for life. Report after report shows we are WAY down his list. You think three years in this carnival is going to change his mind and actually want to re-sign here when he can test the open FA market???? Homerism meets man-crush at it's finest. His choices and market are limited right now. In three more seasons that dynamic changes drastically especially after his legal troubles die down over time.
  15. That sucks, because the Eagles have the draft capital to make it work.
  16. Answer me just one question, if you somehow could foresee the future and if was going to take the Panthers until 2024 just to make the playoffs with Watson, would you still make the trade?
  17. Bridgewater was absolutely impatience. The front office thought they would get a capable QB that would keep us at least competitive through the roster rebuild that would resemble more of a re-tooling. That blew up. Then they doubled down with Darnold. Remember, we could have had Fields or Jones and not have to gave up a single THING. But, Tepper wanted to try to stay competitive as the rebuild went on. Now, we have to give up a TON of draft capital as this doubling down on stupid continues. Also, please tell me how the Bucs, Broncos and Chiefs rosters resembled anything like our roster right now? The Chiefs being the weakest of the three. The Bucs and Broncos rosters were stocked. Again, you are willing to let the Panthers build around Watson because the team is NOT a contender currently...even with Watson. I get it, you have a man-crush on Watson. That doesn't acknowledge this roster is has major holes, a coach that makes it up as he goes along and an owner that keeps sticking his nose into things making it a lot worse.
  18. Correct, one QB with a competent staff and solid supporting cast around him. Watson would have neither here. You are seemingly willing to wait for the Panthers to build around Watson, so why not wait for us to draft a guy next year? My only rationale is you feel that Watson has this well of untapped potential or either a die-hard Clemson fan. I've stated my case against the Watson trade and my points are numerous. Your point is the belief he will turn this organization around...seemingly almost by his presence alone.
