Could anyone imagine Bryce doing a goal line dive? Bwahahaha!!! Me either.
-
Our defense is bad, no doubt, but an efficient offense would help mitigate that. Check down king ain't moving the chains though, so the defense is going to be in for a even longer day at the office.
-
Because he can. Bryce can too, just in 7-on-7 drills with a red jersey on.
-
You mean the defense that's almost as healthy as it's been all year? The past several weeks, I would agree. The point stands, QB6 this year is showing up our QB. Yes, Bryce dinked and dunked us to a TD on a short field...one created by this lousy defense, btw. He barely get a play off before the clock expires, still. WHY???
-
TEs are so overrated. That's why Tepper's Panthers never value them.

QB6 in the 2024 draft versus QB1 (#1 overall) in the 2023 draft. Which one looks like the franchise QB?

Mingo may be on the trading block as well
45catfan replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Another second round WR flame out for the Panthers. Who would have thunk it? Good news for Legette, he was a first rounder, so he actually may pan out. Moose is the only exception to the curse. -
If it's a player we don't see here for the next 4-5 years and we can get trade value, pull the trigger. Plain and simple.
-
He has above average hands, seems find soft spots in the defense, but nobody is going to mistake him for a WR after the catch.

Deshaun Watson (QB Browns) Out for the Season

Prepare your mind for Bryce's return. Dalton is bad.
45catfan replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nah, I'm good. If Bryce stinks it up even more then his trade value will plummet. Roll with Dalton the rest of the year and go back to the drawing board in the offseason. -
Just outside the top 10 for Allar. I haven't delved too much into it myself, but suffice to say, I am not thrilled with this class. I don't see the intrigue with either Allar or Beck. I'll pass on the Sanders circus altogether. The rest needs too much development to peg as a #1 guy for at least a couple of years. Either that or the perfect team to match their skill set a la Brock Purdy.

Deshaun Watson (QB Browns) Out for the Season

Now he has time figure out the number of daily massages he can get with that $240 million before the money runs out. What? Too soon? -
Deshaun Watson (QB Browns) Out for the Season
45catfan replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm old enough to remember when about half the Huddle wanted us to trade for Watson. Thank goodness only the Browns are, as much, or more inept than Tepper's Panthers organization. I recall the breaking point wasn't the years or the overall contract money, but the guaranteed money. If Tepper has done one thing correct since torpedoing this proud organization into the abyss, it was realizing a fully guaranteed multi-year contact isn't the best idea. But damn if he didn't give it a go, before the stakes got too high. -
Young to Miami (Trade proposal via fox)
45catfan replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
I could have waited several days and ruined your weekend. Better to rip the bandage off on a Monday and move on with the rest of the week. -
I politely asked Zod to do it once. That's how it got changed from 2022 to 2023.

Young to Miami (Trade proposal via fox)
45catfan replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
If this was real proposal and we didn't jump all over it, I would be calling for Morgan's head just Like i did Fitterer's when he turned down the Rams trade for Burns. -
Heck, I'd give it a shot. The dude has everything you want but the in-game experience (reps) and understanding for the game at the pro level. The first I think has created the deficiency in the second. If he can stay healthy had get the pro game to click between the ears, the dude could be a stud.

As of right now, late October, I have the QBs stacked like: 1) Ward 2) Ewers 3) Sanders 4) Milroe 5) Dart 6) Gabriel 7) Howard 8 ) McCord 9) Beck 10) Rourke Ward I would take in the top 10 ONLY in a trade down. Ewers and Sanders I would take in round two, but obviously they won't be there. From Milroe on down I would take a flyer pick in the 3rd round or later.

Way, way, way too early(but maybe not) National Mock Drafts
45catfan replied to jfra78's topic in 2025 NFL Draft
I wouldn't be mad at Cam Ward, but this team is full dumpster fire mode and drafting a rookie is setting him up for failure. The rest of the QBs in this draft are at best backups outside of Ewers and he's going to need at least a year to sit before he's ready. Ewers is not worthy of a top 10 pick even though a desperate team will take him that high. -
Have You Ever Taken a Hiatus from This Team?
45catfan replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yup, I had the game on yesterday, but was doing things around the house so I would watch in spots. I knew the defense was garbage and did tasks when they were on the field, but at least tried to watch some of our offense. I should have not watched it at all, I might have got more things accomplished although I did get a good bit done. -
Don't blame me, I wanted Dallas Goedert in that 2018 draft, who now has 22 TDs and nearly 4000 receiving yards in his career, btw. Thomas barely has 1000 yards and 4 TDs in that same span. A third of those yards and half of his TDs come in his rookie season. So in a little over 5 seasons later, dude has amassed a whopping 600 yards and 2 TDs.

First off, I don't think anyone is calling for Canales to be fired. He's either going to grow into the position or not, but I think he gets 3 years minimum. I'm not going to delve into what is wrong with the team, I don't have all day nor do I want blisters on me fingers from all the typing. Moving on to your last point...I know people are sick of us trading guys, but you are correct, there needs to be a fire sale. We need to dump as much cap as possible, get younger and hoard as many draft picks as we can. Next year should be a real, honest to goodness REBUILD. Not a retool, not a tweak, not build on the fly, but a REAL rebuild.
