  1. LOL, some people can't see sarcasm if it fall out of sky the and hit them on the head. The irony of this is Mel was mocking scouts, you know the professional ones, while he just plays one on TV.
  2. Mel Kiper is defending Fields now (dropping on other BBs). Stick a fork in Fields. Kiper has endorsed Mac Jones and Fields. So we know which two QBs NOT to pick.
  3. Watch the clip I posted above and see if ANYTHING resembles Teddy....at all.
  4. Questioning his arm strength. Start with this play. He's on HIS 45 yard line and throws to the endzone for a touchdown. There are more too. A couple more 50+ yard bombs. I cut out a lot of Trey's rushing TDS at the beginning of this video.
  5. I really like the top half of the mock and am iffy on the back half. Overall, it's a good draft.
  6. Sewell and Slater won't both be gone before #5 and the next couple of teams are looking at defense or skill positions. Cincy can move back and still either get Sewell, Slater or possibly the choice of the two. They are in a cherry spot at #5. I don't think it would take much to move them back 3 spots to #8.
  7. That among other things; I was primarily referring to us taking Mac Jones with Trey Lance still on the board.
  8. Want a good laugh, read PFFs latest mock. Somebody Has Been in the Good Stash!
  9. One day I will keep my eye on, March 12th. Also, Pro Days typically go into April so I think more will be added/announced. Many schools not on that list.
  10. We won't have to. All 4 QBs going before pick 5 is so highly improbable that isn't not worth fretting over. No reason to be all nervous to jump to #3. The 5th pick is only 300 points on a trade value chart from #8. Even for QB inflation, you are not talking about much more. We sit tight if we think one falls or move to up to #5. Watson will cost us A TON MORE than moving up to #5.
  11. Best movie of all time! Yes, I'm very serious Shirley.
  12. I hope so, but Lance is moving ahead of Fields on some BBs. I'm not sure if it's more confidence in Lance or less confidence in Fields.
  13. If we trade up, it had better be for Lance. I'm really hoping the Falcons fall in love with the local kid and leave Trey on the board for us.
  14. So now we have at least 4 WRs with NFL experience under wraps for next season, plus a few developmental guys. No need to press for a WR in the draft.
  15. I can see what the brass is up to now. Trimming the fat with the cuts last week while re-signing key backup/rotational guys to the roster. Back filling the lower end of the roster doesn't dent the cap space very much while keeping the shopping list to a minimum once FA does open.
  16. That means we would only have to move to #5 in a trade with the Bengals ahead of the Eagles, which I've said numerous time. We don't have to move up to #3. Also, if it's Fields remaining and not Lance, I don't move up at all and roll the dice he falls to #8.
  17. Seriously, I take their 7th this year with and conditional 6th in 2022. I think that is more than fair. I wouldn't give them any picks, we need them after the cap casualties last week and I honestly don't think they are done yet.
  18. A day 3 pick or a player-for-player swap is the best I think we could do. I'd take a cold ham sandwich AND offer to pet sit Belichick's dog for free while he goes on vacation. You think he'd settle for that?
  19. Teddy's contract is actually reasonable for a starting QB. The problem is do the Patriots consider him a legit starter or a top-tier backup?
  20. I think the Patriots are done with our castoffs. However, it may be possible for poor Teddy to become their bridge QB if they draft Mac Jones. Poor Teddy, but hey, he has bridge in his name so it's like built-in advertisement.
  21. Too many of y'all are caught on on the whole FCS thing. Put Lance on OSU and Fields on NDSU (but they keep their current stats) and I bet these FBS homers would be all in on Trey. It would go something like this: 'That Fields kid has never played anybody, he from some small FCS school...I bet he couldn't play with the big boys in a Power 5 school.' Yadda, yadda, yadda and so forth.
  22. Lance's HC said that very thing; they did challenge Trey. As a redshirt freshman they started him off simple and threw more on his plate each week until he had a command of the offense and by season's end it was pretty much Trey's offense. He had the ability to change out of plays based on what the defense was giving him. I'm not sure if you watched it, but the video with NDSU's HC was posted in one of these threads talking about Lance.
  23. Yet Lance ran a pro-style system at NDSU, but since it's a FCS school and not a top 25 FBS school, he's completely dismissed.
  24. I've seen some BBs with Lance moving ahead of Fields. I predicted this would happen, but it doesn't bode well for us getting Lance if he becomes the consensus #3 QB behind Lawrence and Wilson. I would absolutely gag if the Falcons drafted him. Philly, the Lions, yeah that would suck, but the freaking Falcons? Barf!!!
