How about taking a TE in round one or two like I've been saying for years and we wouldn't be in this situation.
-
Yawn. Scrolled though and meh.

Bom, bom ,bom--so good, so good, so good!

Panthers add four more to the practice squad
45catfan replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we are getting better by continuously churning the PS, then we will definitely in February. The fact I have to point out how ridiculous this sounds is how dumb the notion is. Bettering your 67th, 68th and 69th players on a League worst team is like acquiring a beat up old piece of crap car that barely runs and hanging an air freshener from the mirror which scent is 'new car small' and trying to convince people you actually have a new car. -
so are we done with the "answer is on the roster" era?

The answer hasn't been on our roster approaching a decade. Damn that's sad. -
Panthers over 30.

More moves. For you Clemson people, A Tiger on the PS. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2024/08/30/panthers-practice-squad-deon-cain-brandon-walton-alex-cook/ That still left one spot remaining, to which it is rumored another QB will sign. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2024/08/30/panthers-report-sign-john-wolford-practice-squad/ -
You know you jinxed it, right?

Got to tighten up that defense. Too much off coverage tonight. They made WCU's QB look like Joe Montana. Outside corners were routinely lining up 8 yards from the LOS and getting burned.
-
Rust. Remember he was injured most of last year, on a new team and an entirely new offensive scheme.
-
Horrible tackling. Dude has ZERO WIGGLE. The backup RBs all have looked better. I don't care if Waters is a Grad transfer, if he can't shake FCS players, he's really gonna struggle in the ACC. FYI, McCall finally warmed up.
-
McCall hasn't been sharp tonight, but that was a miscommunication. Conception looked to be running a choice route and settled, McCall threw to the spot where he would have been if the route was continued.
-
It was targeting.

Juan trying to be sneaky. I was wondering if anyone else would pick up on that.

Solid pass rushers don't get cut. I've looked at the cut lists and edge, especially OLB, is THIN.
-
Ah yes, the fabled Training Camp HOF. For some reason that honor rarely carries over to the regular season.

I knew Thomas wouldn't get cut.
-
I know we are stocked at RB, but Dwayne McBride got cut by the Vikings. He's a dude I wanted to draft. A really hard, north-south runner. He plays bigger than his actual stature. 3000 yards in two seasons and career 7.3 yards per carry.

Then, eventually, Bryce will get figured out and DBs will start sitting on routes. Even the short stuff will be highly contested.
-
Agreed, just wondering if there was any sentimental folks out there that would like another go around.
-
Touche'! You know what I meant though...

Our boy Matt Corral is available. Any takers?

We've got two weeks ahead of no football games and one series of an All-22 with Bryce for the entire preseason to break down. Not knit-picking, but it's all we have at this point. Young took the gimme throws that open to him. Great! We know he can do that. So my critique is will or can he push the ball down the field given the opportunity short of a blown coverage? We shall see--starting in two, long weeks.

The first 'L" in Bills. Leading a WR is a fundamental trait of a NFL QB. Diontae's route was sending him that way before the pass ultimately went to Adam. It wouldn't have been a across body throw per se, but Bryce would have needed to square his shoulders.
