  1. Oh, as for a stop-gap? We might as well stick with Dalton. This free agency for QBs is rough! We could always give Darnold another go. *Ducks incoming* Minshew possibly, but that's it. No, Cousins ain't coming here to be Young's backup or even to "compete" with him.
  2. And why we suck. You can't miss on draft picks like that and expect to be successful. The Rams have been draft poor of late, at least with high selections, but have made the most of some of their mid-round picks.
  3. I distinctly remember when he signed his latest contract that Mahomes said--and I'm paraphrasing--I could have asked for more money, but wanted the team to have some flexibility in signing talent at other positions on the roster.
  4. Would you say he's the best QB in the League? He should be the highest paid QB then.
  5. Injuries are part of the game. Even pure pocket passers get injured. It's not like a QB's SB window is prior to 30. Yes, it's cool for a young gun to win one early on, but it's not like that happens all the time. Plenty of QBs have won a ring in the middle-to-end of their careers.
  6. At 27-years old? I think Allen has time. He's going to have to to take the Mahomes tact and take a hit in his wallet to keep talent around him though.
  7. LOl! Ewers will end up being the top QB and he's not even close to a generational QB. WAIT TO 2025 THEY SAY!!!! Man, if I could did up all those receipts from last offseason (and prior), but I'm not petty enough to do that as tempting as it is.
  8. We've NEVER been this good outside of 2015, not even 2003. We could only dream of getting bounced a game or two before the SB every year. I wouldn't know what it's like to have to ponder to get rid of a coach with a winning track record. Problems of a top-notch organization apparently.
  9. Does it matter? Tepper won't do it. That said, if the right guy falls and I WAS MAKING THE CALL, yes, I would absolutely draft a QB. Also, the irony of the 'wait until 2025' QB crowd. The shoe is on the other foot, lol! The 2025 class is WEAK at the top. Outside of Ewers, all the guys that could have came out went back because their draft stock was tepid. The depth overall in 2025 at QB is decent and a good draft for a developmental guy, but not for looking for QB1.
  10. Yes, but also beat the team he just coached for and knew them inside and out. He was literally yelling out to the defense where the ball was going when the Raiders lined up. I'm not saying your wrong, I'm just saying it's not a magic bullet either. I'm saying it's highly improbable, not impossible. I'm saying they have as good, if not better, chance of winning a SB with their current staff and the players just execute better rather than making coaching changes.
  11. I'm going to have to disagree. That is much easier said than done. It's like saying play the lottery and become a millionaire. Sure it could happen, but how realistic is that? So a blanket statement of hire a offensive HC and that will give the Bills a SB is overly simplistic.
  12. I only spot watched the game, but the parts I did see was wounds self-inflicted by the Bills players. Twice on the final drive Allen tried to go for the jugular when he had open throws underneath. The 3rd down before the missed FG, Diggs(?) was wide open on a crosser. They had timeouts, they had time, so no need to try for kill shots if not wide open. Neither of them were. Again, coaches coach, players play. Was it Fox's fault Kasay kicked the ball out of bounds in the Patriots SB? Was it Rivera's fault Cam didn't jump on the fumble in the Broncos SB? Coaches put players in the position to win. When players miss FGs, drop passes, opt for low percentage passes, that is on them. The coaching staff for the Bills did not lose the game.
  13. Making the playoffs 6 of the past 7 years in a typically strong division and the stronger conference is enough for me. They will get over the hump. Nearly twenty years of futility before McDermott took over, so 'blowing it up' because you now have the Chefs as the new Patriots as a stumbling block is dumb. It's just going to take that one season to get past the Chiefs and they should win it all, because the NFC is soft and has been for a number of years.
  14. The FA QB market sucks this offseason too and is deep (as of now) after next year. I doubt we retain Dalton so we need a competent guy to be the back up to whomever the QB is after 2024 and potentially start out of the gate is we draft a rookie QB in 2025.
  15. Yes, personnel upgrades. It's not like the Chiefs have sat on their hands saying ' with the Mahomes and Reid combo, we are fine.' The Bills obviously have the staff to get them where they need to go, they simply need some better execution....like not missing FGs.
  16. Panthers' fan logic right here. I think the OP wants them to blow it up so they suck like us. All playoff teams that don't win the SB should fire their coaching staffs!
  17. One problem, weaker class. We already took "a" QB, we need to take THE RIGHT QB. NIx may be there at #33, and had he stayed, he could have been the QB1 in 2025's class. Going all in on Young again is a dumb, dumb, move.
  18. I gave it an 'F' then and certainly an 'F' now.
  19. Tua's brother was denied another year of college ball. He's expected to go pro.
  20. Gen X here. I'm the opposite and don't get me started on Gen Z.
  21. We all knew this one would eventually happen. Caleb Williams to the draft is official.
  22. I've been hearing/reading this too. I didn't think we'd make it to the annual 8 coaching vacancies this year after a slow Black Monday, but crap, we may have as many as 10 depending on the Cowboys and Eagles!
