I watched all of his college and HS videos. Not sure how he was the #1 overall recruit in 2022 (ahead of even Brandon Miller) but I definitely like his potential. Interesting that he went from 6’5 to 6’2 real fast and “length” was one of his biggest strengths. Comps are anywhere from Jamal Murray to Jamal Crawford. We definitely have a lot of young talent on cheap deals. Gotta figure out what to do with Hayward and Rozier before the deadline.

If you watch that interview, McCown refers to Bryce “downloading” their new system at least 8 times. He says “processing” a million times. They talk “footwork” once, but glance over it. NFL quarterbacking is not a test, when do we throw the actual football? I don’t even know what to think, this is a mess.

Re-watching some of these pressers, it’s insane how much the coaches talk about the pre-draft evaluations. CJ Stroud went toe-to-toe, gunslinger-to-gunslinger, with Trevor Lawrence today. Both played great, but CJ is arguably as good as Lawrence already. They both escape pressure when it’s there and make big time down-field throws. I’ll continue to root for our guy, but we clearly made the wrong pick.
