  1. What I’d add is that teams who want Watson will likely be looking at 2023. I feel a half a season suspension is reasonable to believe since Rothlisburger had two cases, both civil, and served a 6 game suspension. 8 games for 22 cases, is not unfathomable. With this in mind, things become easier. Trading or letting guys go to make room and plan for 2023 is probably is not that big of a deal - a fire sale is an easier pill to swallow knowing you’re already more or less giving up 2022 season for a new franchise QB, and will be planning ahead with a cap growth in mind. That will be a factor imo.
  2. We will have all the INTs but at least more production with Mayfield. You could probably win with an elite team around Baker…but even that won’t save you from Darnold. I say f all that and draft a rookie, if he fails it won’t be that big of a deal. Hell you might even get the first pick like the Jags and can take a legit qb next draft. If only we’d be smart draft olineman + supporting case and start PJ giving us the first pick next year.
  3. that’s what we call a criminal thinking error - it’s not human nature, this is just justification by generalization POS for jaywalking isn’t the same, if you think it’s normal for everyone to be a POS of this level well you probably are yourself and want to feel better about it, and yea you probably shouldn’t point a finger in reality there are plenty of people who aren’t on this level as hard as that may be to accept
  4. you all realize JR would be in prison if it weren’t for millions of dollars and non disclosure agreements right? the fact that poo makes things go away evident by this weird perception of him is the irony of it it, it perpetuates and confirms money is all people care about fug that POS
  5. The NTC probably isn’t officially waived/signed until the deal is done for that reason.
  6. Good with me. Last thing you want is a player like Watson not wanting to be on the team…that should be obvious at this point. We don’t need a forced trade for insane capital and then have him fug the franchise two years later for being unhappy.
  7. Yea this doesn’t surprise me. In fact, I would not be surprised if the announcement isn’t until later this week after a few huddlers are fired for being on the huddle for four days straight, and not tonight or tomorrow after his meeting with ATL. These are things smart people sleep on.
  8. Yea I see that. Sucks for those who had to work all day…some of us aren’t able to sit and read a Watson thread lol I am catching up.
  9. Meh, I’m not sifting through 110 pages to check…so for those who felt the same and didn’t know, I thought it was interesting.
  10. “Falcons owner Arthur Blank is fond of Deshaun Watson from the days when the former Gainesville (Ga) High quarterback worked multiple years as a Falcons’ ball boy and developed a relationship with Blank’s family,” Schefter said. Not long later, fellow ESPN reporter Dianna Russini said Watson personally reached out to the Falcons as well. “I’m told QB Deshaun Watson has interest in the Atlanta Falcons and has even reached out to the franchise personally, per source,” Russini said. https://thespun.com/nfl/afc-south/houston-texans/deshaun-watson-reportedly-meeting-with-1-more-team-this-week/amp
  11. probably should wait and see the results, still needs to build a competent team…this is a team sport after all a 4 win Watson led 2020 Texans blueprint isn’t all that appealing
  12. If Watson only wanted Carolina the entire time, why did he wave his clause for Miami? Is it not reasonable that Fit stayed back and signed guys because it was day 1 and important they were on top of the guys they wanted? Deal is done but he’s being reported to meet with more teams?
  13. Except over valuing your worth like Cam did. I don’t see an issue with it NTC. If you FO doesn’t like it don’t sign it, simple. Same for players and their contracts. But I think this is where the only issue comes in, like Watson refusing to play and demand to be traded now. He should honor the contract. It’s a shitty move, but again that’s the risk a franchise takes agreeing to a NTC. It ensures your franchise guy is happy and gives him a perk. Not everyone will be honorable but generally it’s fine and I don’t see it going away.
  14. That doesn’t mean the problem is not throwing the farm at someone, that means your FO is incompetent. Won’t win no matter what with that. This will be the third year straight Carolina has a top 10 pick. You’re adding 3 to that. I think it’s reasonable to predict those will be top half, if not top 10, picks. That’s six years worth of drafts with a high picks. Six. And you couldn’t find a QB or some sort of deal with another team to grab a guy involving less capital than Watson? Or are we to believe six years worth of QBs won’t work out? That’s some serious FO issues imo. The Panthers’ need a FO that can competently build a team including coach more than it does some Madden cheat code QB.

    The Batman

Thought it was great, best one so far imo since Keaton. Considering time period I’d probably say they were close. My favorite things were how they were close to the comic books at least more than usual. I still think Carrey would do the best riddler…but his already eccentric personality didn’t clash well with over the top writers of Batman forever. He could’ve been great. Also it was great how mortal Batman was. His tools weren’t ridiculously over the top like in the past series. He got hurt. He didn’t dodge everything at him but took them. I liked that a lot. Only thing that I didn’t like was the woke crap. Not because of ideology but because it had no place and didn’t make sense. Nothing to do with the plot at all. From the characters and catwomens line to the fact it’s a Batman movie. Hollywood just can’t help to inject this poo everywhere. My very extreme leftist friend was even like wtf does that even mean in context? It doesn’t, just obvious propaganda. Matrix was even worse but whatever.
  16. Being introvert wasn’t the problem, the problem is people think it was.
  17. No choices. Limited cap. No worthwhile player wants to come here. Poor evaluating by coaching. And finally a gutted draft. There are simply no options. Considering the state and future of the team in 2019, this is called regressing. Also known as invisible progressing according to Rhule.
  18. Gotcha. I know it was officially waived for the Dolphins but maybe that was in the time frame you are referring to last year. If this is true don’t understand a timeline for waiving a clause when trades are already happening but is what it is I guess.
  19. “An issue with having the clause waived is not anticipated, the source said.” This may sound like some crazy line of thinking…but…if there is no issue why is it not already waived?
  20. He is indeed. But just because someone likes to flirt with masseuses online and go to multiple random ones all over the country doesn’t mean this should be allowed. Don’t get me wrong it’s weird and creepy. But real victims are the ones who suffer because of these fake allegations. And this level of defamation is unacceptable. They should be sued/punished for it imo. It is very dangerous to allow it without consequence.
  21. Ehhhh, if your franchise can’t find a QB that can compete with three+ first and seconds, plus more first for any decent player…I don’t feel trading it all away to forgo any guess work (and to other extent ineptness) is going to take care of the root cause anyways. I guess we could always do it and hope for a compete team in 4-5 years and pray Watson doesn’t get butthurt and leave and also still plays at a high level. poo at the rate Rhule is going now it may be fastest. But the hope is to move on to something better.
  22. No sure you comprehend what people were saying referring to this. Actually I’m not sure you even understand what you’re saying. Percentage of grand jury influenced indictments, eventually filed by the DA are all over the place, in fact that doesn’t even make sense…based on pure number? Why? That isn’t even a factor. A factor would be like from a specific same exact jury and DA…which doesn’t exist, again, that is why this doesn’t make sense. It’s just about the evidence for each specific case. It’s the conviction part that is, 97%, SHOULD an indictment be granted by a grand jury. An indictment is not a convictions. Which makes sense, a trial is essentially a mirror of a jury. Obviously, this case didn’t get that far, or even close.
  23. Not sure if this is true. Ben is called a rapist left and right after 1. No criminal charges and 2. The only female that confirmed sex with him bragged about it to coworkers the day after and before filing a civil suit, But it is a different ‘climate’ today and Ben is not Watson. I suspect people will be condemned for calling Watson things they called Ben if we are being real.
