  1. Its hard to not root for Joe Milton. Wouldn't have minded taking him in the 6th.
  2. If anything give the defense the preseason off because they've been dominating all camp.
  3. It's as valuable as you wanna make it. That's live reps against a real opponent. Play them a bit deeper into the 1st quarter and you're going against 2nd teamers that are playing hard. And thats a good opportunity to try some things, make some mistakes, and most importantly complete some damn passes in a game to your new receivers. Get some confidence, gel a bit. Waiting until week 1 with the worst roster in the NFL just doesn't make any sense.
  4. Bro every player I've seen a RAS sheet for is terrible. The greener those boxes are the faster you need run away. Good football players don't need that card.
  5. Yeah most of them are established players where the dress rehearsal isn't even worth the time. They'll gain nothing from it except risk injury. I'm not convinced that's the case for Young. If anything, he should be getting a healthy amount of reps to get ready. That's what I would think. Our offense doesn't seem ready. I wouldn't be opposed to the Steve Spurrier preseason strategy of keeping the starters in another half a quarter or so. It seems like they need it. The line, the QB, the receivers. All of it. I'm not a coach but this doesn't smell good.
  6. I’m just hoping he’ll have some stuff drawn up for him to get the ball. If he’s improved it will be noticeable even with lack luster QB play.
  7. Encouraging to hear positive stuff about Mingo. Hope he has a big year.
  8. Wouldn't wanna risk ruining that by drafting a rookie center. I'm glad they thought it through.
  9. As a GM, dudes got a bigger gambling problem than Michael Jordan. I don’t know what him and Fitterer are smoking.
  10. I’d like to see it. We need some kinda backup plan.
  11. It's not fair compared to a full season, but it was almost 260 snaps. It just seems like a unnecessary long shot to take. There's so much concern over a rookie doing it, but I'm concerned that Corbett playing Center is gonna be a huge problem. They might have to put Jansen in there and have Young stand back 20 yards.
  12. They really pushed all their chips to the middle of the table on a dude that posted a 47.9 PFF score last year.
  13. I understand the concerns with it. It's a lot to expect a rookie to understand all the nuances of the protection adjustments and whatnot. While at the same time adjusting to the speed of the NFL game and blocking NFL linemen. If they thought Corbett could be good enough, that's fair. But, why not bring in a kid to back him up and potentially play if he gets injured or is awful?
  14. Either we have the best defense in the NFL or the worst offense. Hmm.
  15. The downside of that situation seems preferable to having nobody at center.
  16. If the offensive line comes out week 1 and can't block a thing, its not looking good for Dan. That much emphasis on shoring up the line, and they still can't block at all? They have about a month to get their poo together.
  17. It was simply stupid to go with only Corbett at C. I will never understand investing that much money in 2 Gs, and not even having a bare minimum starter at C. They could have easily picked one in the draft.
  18. Hopefully the offensive line can figure it out. If not it’s gonna be real ugly.
  19. I didn’t write him off. He’s gotta write himself back on after last year. And if things look the same this year, he’s not on a good trajectory. That’s all I’m saying.
