    It would have to be an angels in the outfield situation for me. I respect Wilks, but I don't think I want him as our next HC.

    I think he was saying the situation where you have a franchise QB and a head coach job opening is a unicorn. It doesn't exist because when head coaches get canned, its typically on teams that don't have a QB or its a mess.

    I don't think any NFL team is that far from competing. A good coach can make a team look better almost instantly. The whole multi year process thing is a load of bull.

    That's funny. An enviable college-coach resume? Dude hasn't beat anyone in the top 25 in his entire career except ECU. A small school would be the best fit for him. If a big school hires him I do not expect success.

    Feels like we might as well just keep him through next year at least. His value is probably not great right now because everyone looks bad in this offense.

    Damn thats right. I forgot Weinke was the backup plan. Seifert thought Lewis was the next big thing at QB. RIP Jeff Lewis btw

    Seifert had the team looking decent in his 1st 2 years with Steve Beurlein at QB. It was time to move on, but Chris Weinke was a terrible replacement. Seifert wasn't a good coach, but I don't think he was awful either.
