  1. Yep, this isnt hard. Stick with your plan. Trust your scouting dept, trust your GM and build through the draft.
  2. Jones is playing the game obviously. Although it would alleviate matters immensely if Rhule (and the staff) deem jones as a competent NFL starter and we can trade back for him if Lance isnt there. Reading the tea leaves from this week it seems there may be mutual interest
  3. On the latest podcast to pros they talk about Jones at the senior bowl and say he is the real deal. Has everything you want in a qb except he has an average arm. Not weak but simply average and the ball doesn’t zip out of his hands. Disappointing they also said Newman has a great arm with a ton of zip but he just isn’t accurate. not sure which I would roll the dice with if it came to that. Probably Jones since they said he can process things incredibly fast on the field. I wish there was some way we could trade down pick some top tier lineman in the first and snag Jones in the 2nd if lance or whoever doesn’t fall to 8.
  4. About the price lowering. If/when the texans decide to trade him they will get a haul no matter when it is
  5. This is where I am. I would be curious to know his 40 time
  6. Seems like Jones is crushing it this week at practice. Gives us some flexibility if a trade down is in the works
  7. You don’t build your oline through free agency. It doesn’t work like that
  8. How are we building our oline in that scenario?
  9. It was so stupid to pay him after 3 years. There is literally no rationale as to why that was a good idea
  10. That's why I think the Falcons will go defense in the first. Why create this headache needlessly?

  12. His decision making is a huge knock on him. Rhule is just doing coach speak.
  13. Thats fair but I would say Lance is a bit more accurate and a better decision maker based on the little I have seen of him.
  14. Their offense is fine but they need a qb and a pass rusher or 2. Picking the 3rd best qb over the top corner would be crazy IMO when Ryan is still playing at a high level
  15. Ditto on a qb working with our staff in developing them but I think Allen is the exception not the rule. I just think JN is the ultimate project with a ton of flaws in his game. Big arm sure, but his accuracy and decision making need a lot of fine tuning. His game against Clemson last year really put things in perspective for me about him.
  16. What do you mean "this good"? Its been 2 practices.
  17. He doesnt have great mechanics, he does have a strong arm but is inconsistent at times and stares down his receivers too much. He is a project in every sense of the word. If the staff feels like he can contribute after sitting a year then so be it but from what I watched at Wake he needs a lot of work.
  18. Its dumb if they pass on some top defensive help (which they desperately need) to get a guy that has to sit for 2 years. It doesnt make sense. ATL is not that far off talent wise and they sure as hell dont need a qb. And his cap hit is pretty substantial for the next 2 seasons. Much like the Packers drafting love, this would make zero sense https://overthecap.com/player/matt-ryan/823/
