  1. I'm getting a Chip Kelly vibe from Rhule and his player/personnel decisions. Tepper needs to be looking for a well seasoned NFL coordinator to replace this turkey with in the off season.
  2. We are certainly no better and that should bother our ownership.
  3. It is this sort of fan experience that led to JRs firing of George Seifert. Within two years the Panthers were in contention for a Super Bowl. Tepper knows what he needs to do.
  4. Yeah, sometimes you have to look at a situation and realize it isn't going to get any better. At that point the best way forward is to cut your losses and start over. I'm sure even Dave Tepper has made a few mistakes in his time as an investor, so he should get it.
  5. Takeaway: Jets ownership smarter than Panthers ownership? Please tell me it isn't so.
  6. If Rhule has learned nothing else this season it should be that good CBs are much easier to find than good LTs. Hopefully that has sunk in by now and Matt will act accordingly going forward.
  7. Well, I've been told on many occasions, if you want to succeed in life, surround yourself with the best people you can find. Nothing suggests Rhule followed this advice when choosing his staff.
  8. Sam does appear to be deeply damaged and his time with the Panthers is only making the situation worse. Not sure Sam can ever be fixed, but chances are even if he could, this isn't the organization to do it.
  9. FIFY Not sure how Rhule and the front office didn't see this coming.
  10. Well, the team tends to control the narrative that most fans listen to, but it is all coming out in the wash now. Eventually someone needs to start holding the coaching staff accountable for their decisions.
  11. No ill will towards Sam but he isn't the answer to the Panthers problems on offense. PJ may prove me wrong (I hope he does) but it doesn't appear the answer is on the roster. Rhule should be held responsible for that.
  12. The TB I watched today was decisive, aggressive and most importantly, got the ball down the field and into the endzone. Makes me think he wasn't the biggest issue with the offense last year.
  13. Who knows for sure? But it certainly appeared that Robbie wasn't too thrilled with losing TB or the trade for Sam. Why sign Robbie to a new contract when you just drafted his replacement weeks before? Rhule's judgement should be questioned by ownership at this point and deservedly so.
  14. At this point, it certainly seems likely, as we don't appear to have the resources to turn things entirely around this coming off season. Good advice. Unfortunately, Rhule failed to do this during his first two years and now we're in a hole. What are the chances Matt has recognized the error of his ways or that he even gets a third chance to make it right?
  15. It now seems likely that rumor was started by employees of the NY Jets and/or the Jacksonville Jaguars.
  16. Robbie knew what was coming when the Panthers traded for Sam. Now we all know.
  17. Rhule wanted all the control, he gets all the blame. (For now)
  18. Rhule would have done well to bring in former NFL head coaches as his coordinators. Might still happen if he is granted a 3rd year. Still can't believe Tepper relied on the council of Marty Hurney, of all people, when hiring Rhule.
  19. Not sure I see a way forward for Tepper to keep Rhule around for three years. This reminds me of JR's decision to cut ties with George Seifert because the life had been sucked out of the team and fanbase. 8 more losses (entirely possible) and there'll be a good chance that Rhule and company are shown the door.
  20. Yeah, it's time for Tepper to take the checkbook away from Matt Rhule before he Hurneys us into cap hell with more of these poorly thought out signings.
  21. Rhule is looking at three big problems when it comes to the offense. 1. QB 2. O line 3. Coaching Addressing 1 or 2 items without solving the third isn't likely to fix what we're seeing on the field.
  22. Metrics Culture. Matt Rhule: Not gonna lie to you fellas, that was certainly a tough loss. But now it's time to move on to next week. Ok, everybody get out your calculators, graph paper and pencils.
  23. Unless he finds a way to be more decisive Sam is pretty much done in this league. He really needs to sit on the bench (of another team) for a season. Might eventually develop into a serviceable backup if he can get his head straight. Other than with the Panthers, Sam most likely won't be given another chance to be a starter anytime soon (if ever).
  24. I think Rhule cares, he just wasn't ready to be HC of an NFL team.
