  1. The reason why this team won 5 games was because of the defense, the reason why they lost 12 games is because of the offense.
  2. So I bet he went to Temple or Baylor right? Or was previously with the Jets?
  3. I have no doubt and full confidence that our FO (mostly Rhule) will screw us for the next 5 years with any deal involving Watson. This guy was ready to give a 2nd, 4th, and 6th for an unproven Darnold. I wonder what he would give for Watson, hopefully his wife's meatballs are included to sweeten the deal because it worked on Tepper and Hurney!
  4. If our scouts are so high on Willis with this weak QB draft class, I wonder what their reports were on last years QBs when it's unanimous that last year's class is significantly better? Hope these guys weren't the same ones scouting Darnold as well.
  5. This is Pickett stroking Rhule when he drafts him...lol! As Deadpool said, Pickett must feel so large when he masturbates with little hands!
  6. At least he called and asked about a proven franchise QB. Rhule calls around looking for unproven commodities.
  7. Tepper is like the virgin friend in the group who brags that his new girlfriend is the hottest thing ever but no one has seen her. Introduces her to the group and every bro is silently thinking she is FUGLY. Rhule is Tepper's FUGLY girlfriend, and we all know he is FUGLY except Tepper.
  8. If you guys read his mock entirely, he has Kayvon Thibo falling to #8 with ATL. If we had a choice of #3 rated tackle (Cross/Penning), would you guys be upset if we drafted Kayvon instead? This dude is arguably the best overall player.
  9. I think the only reason Tepper hasn't fired Rhule is because of his own ego. Tepper is a loud talking, big balls, show off owner. He endorsed Rhule so much as a savior to this franchise when he hired him that he is embarrassed to admit that it was a wrong hire. He is willing to waste this season with Rhule to give him his "3 years" instead of admitting a mistake. Some people would rather sink with the boat than abandon ship.
  10. Essentially, our HC is such a dumbass and game planner that he needs a generational talent at QB to save him. Yeah, that seems unlikely. I'm already looking forward to 2023 off season because that's when we can really improve.
  11. It just baffles me that our FO are getting paid millions to make such dumb decisions. I would happily be the Panthers GM for a ham sandwich. And if I make poor decisions, at least my compensation is on par with my choices. lol!
  12. lol, the Panther's fan base has been so demoralized and dejected that we would accept Sam being our QB again. 2021 offseason Darnold: "yay! He may be our savior and franchise QB!" 2022 offseason Darnold: "Play him because we suck and don't have any options!"
  13. I think the Panthers are still talent deficient, we have some good players but nobody in a Top 5 positional category except for CMC but he can't stay healthy. Look at the teams in the Super Bowl they have super star players that really carried their team, Donald, Cupp, Burrow, Chase. We went to the Super Bowl with Luke, Cam, Olsen, Norman in their prime. As much as we bash Rhule and coaching, I don't think we have the talent on the field to compete for a Super Bowl. At the same time Rhule is responsible for acquiring talent. So in conclusion, I don't think the panthers will contend for Super Bowl until a new coaching staff and when we get superstar players.
  14. I'm insinuating that being an athlete and just working hard doesn't make you a franchise QB. Darnold has the physical talent to be a QB but he can't process the game and that's why he can't succeed and isn't a franchise QB.
  15. Bad drive by Malik, he looks to run first and slow to process his reads leading to holding on to the ball too long for sacks. Again, I don't necessarily care that the guy can throw a ball through a wall. I'm more interested in how he plays the game between the ears. Jamarcus Russell had all the talent but the worst work ethic.
  16. There's a lot of hype this week that Willis is the best QB at the senior bowl. After watching his first drive, he looks like a poor man's Mike Vick. Not as fast as Vick but elusive. Has a strong arm but inconsistent thrower.
  17. What I took away from this interview is that everyone who talks to Rhule walks away impressed after listening to him. LOL, I think Rhule must be casting witchcraft and sorcery with his words when he talks to people (ie Tepper, Hurney, Olsen). Rhule is a big talker but he doesn't live up to it. I think Rhule even talks himself into thinking he is a big shot! Actions speak louder than words!
  18. I agree that the best candidate should be hired for the job regardless of skin color or ethnicity. At the same time how do you know that owners and organizations aren't black balling African American candidates? The intention of The Rooney rule was good, but it is significantly flawed too.
  19. Jimmy G actually has a lot of good options in free agency. Steelers went to post season and need a QB, WFT, Green Bay if Rodgers leaves, Seahawks if Russell leaves, NO, Tampa Bay. These are all teams with good talent. The question is if they think Jimmy G is the missing piece. He's proven in two big time games (super bowl against chiefs and this NFC championship game) that he can manage it but won't win you the game.
  20. Rhule's job is to do what his coordinators and assistant coaches with NFL experience tell him to do because he has no NFL experience...oh the irony.
  21. I petition that we draft a QB in the first round every year until we find our franchise QB. If they stink it up their rookie year, oh well, move on! lol
  22. This is the defining trait of a franchise QB. Brady has off the charts intangibles and a competitive fire. No one will say that he is the best athlete on the field but he knows how to win. Peyton Manning is a poor athlete but was cerebral and studied his craft the hardest. Our next QB has to have these traits, not just the strongest arm or the fastest 40 time.
  23. Rhule is hiring assistants to tell him how to do his job....lol! Oh the irony!
  24. And I worry that it would ruin the young QB's development and set us back for many more years giving them time to develop only to flame out. They need a good HC and consistency to succeed. Even Lawrence who is supposed to be a generational talent had a horrible rookie year and is setback with poor coaching. He is no where near what Joe Burrow is given the situation.
