  1. The Huddle hated Roman Harper when he was with the Saints but cheered for him when he played for the Panthers. We don't like assholes, unless they are OUR assholes then it's ok.
  2. I don't know that's why I'm asking. I thought teams couldn't talk to other candidates about coaching until after the season?
  3. Our next HC being defensive minded isn't a deal breaker. We've seen the genius OC Hackett and McDaniels do poorly as HC. Some guys just don't have it to lead men and that is the greatest quality of a HC. This team has played harder and better under Wilks, I just hope our future HC can settle to the QB situation once and for all.
  4. My understanding is that they needed to do CPR. Any time CPR is performed, it means you actually died and medical providers are trying to bring you back. Perhaps they were able to get a pulse again but he is still critical for sure.
  5. The panthers are who we thought they were! We are an average football team without any real direction! We can win some games but we won’t win the real games that matter! Im ready to embrace the suckage to win the games that matter!!!! Tank bitches!
  6. WTF is wrong with this group? I thought we said Darnold and Wilks were our answer last week? All of a sudden they aren’t? This fan base is poo!
  7. The panthers are who we thought they were!
  8. Mayfield asked for his release and it was mutual from both sides. Walker would have likely stayed the starter if he didn't get injured. Wilks has decided to stay with Darnold because he hasn't turned the ball over with an emphasis on the run game. Posters on here act like Darnold has all of a sudden become a great QB.
  9. We lost games last year because Darnold was a turnover machine. He had int and fumble issues. What does every coach preach? "Protect the football!" Darnold and Mayfield have the highest turnovers since they were drafted. Is it a coincidence that Panthers are winning when Darnold hasn't turned the ball over? I'm just stating that Wilks knows the limits and tendencies of Darnold so he isn't going to ask his QB to try and win the game. Rhule failed to see this and wanted Darnold/Mayfield to be franchise QBs which they are not, they are game managers.
  10. Wilks has already accomplished more in half a season than Rhule in his 2 years here. We've never won more than 5 games per season. We've got 6 wins, that is progress but everyone needs to slow their roll. Last week everyone was asking for Wilks to be fired, this week he is our savior? Let's reevaluate at the end of the season.
  11. I don't think McAdoo is developing Darnold. I think Wilks just has the balls to tell McAdoo to protect the Panthers from Darnold. How do you stop Darnold from making mistakes? Give me as few touches as possible. This ground and pound game plan is good for a team with a weak QB but it won't be successful in the playoffs against better competition. We won't win a shoot out where we have to play from behind, and opposing teams just need to stop our run game to make us one dimensional. Look at the Pittsburgh game as an example.
  12. This is the only thing that matters at this point. We are not going to win the Super Bowl this year. This team will be mediocre until we establish a franchise QB.
  13. Wilks has gotten his players to "commit like a pig, and not like the chicken." If anyone read that Cam Newton article about commitment, you'll get the reference. It's all about guys believing in you and giving you everything you have. This is an offensive league but if he can find someone to game plan offensively and find a franchise QB, I'm down with it. There are some good former HC that are just better at being offensive coordinators. Look what Robert Saleh is doing with the Jets and their qb situation, similar with the Lions.
  14. "Rhule's wife just texted me her meatball recipe"
  15. I am worried that if the Panthers continue to play themselves out of top 5 but remain top 10, Levis is going to be strongly considered given the value. I don't know any other players we would pick outside of Young, Anderson Jr, Stroud, Carter. Talent seems to fall off dramatically after those 4.
  16. Urban Meyer as a HC is pretty bad, Rhule has now sunken to Urban Meyer level bad!
  17. That's a legit concern too, it would take a bounty to move up to #2 spot though.
  18. I haven't paid any attention to the Hornets this year after announcing that we resigned Steve Clifford. By the record it looks like the usual dumb FO decisions the Hornets make. Also, missing Bridges has really hurt this team. This team just took a step back, this is similar to Rhule hire.
  19. Stroud would be my choice if Texans take Young. At this point, even if we did win a game or two and not have the #2 overall pick, I think we would still have a chance at him as long as we pick in the top 5. The teams right behind us, Pittsburgh, Bears, Broncos don't need a QB.
  20. But an article just recently said that Levis is a better prospect than Young or Stroud because he played with less talent around him (sarcasm)! Lance and Wilson had the "tools" to succeed but they also didn't lead their programs to bowl wins/championships. At least Young, Stroud, Fields have played meaningful high stakes games in their collegiate careers.
