Recency bias (and fan bias) but he absolutely tanked the Panthers franchise in just 3 Drafts. Hired in 2021, fired before the 2024 Draft. Players that are still on the team (starters highlighted): Horn, Christensen, Tremble, Hubbard, Ekwonu, Barno, Mays, Young, Johnson, Zavala. That's horrific.

The OLine is already built. You have young (and apparently decent) weapons at both starting WR spots, TE and RB. I mean sure we need a pass rush and a whole host of defenders, but the O is ready to slot a competent QB in to. The D is going to take multiple Drafts to fix. Prime Warren Sapp / Ray Lewis / Ed Reed wouldn't fix the defence as it's currently constructed. Too many awful players.

Johnson is a lot better.

He threw one like that against Cal too - just one of those "what in the actual fug are you thinking?" throws. He then throws a dart to Restrepo on the goalline where the CB is playing a trap coverage, but the ball is out so quickly that the CB can't get there to make a play on it. I've learned to live and die by his gunslinger attitude.

I'm clearly stating that Ward is a scouting anomaly. He's on pace with Burrow right now and, as much as it pains me to say it, he doesn't have the supporting cast Burrow did.

He threw up several absolute prayers and should have been picked off twice more. He was bad, but that Saints team was somehow worse. Allen might not leave Charlotte as their HC.
