I'm going to be here no matter what. I've been with this team my entire life. But for me to truly get excited about the team again they're going to have to put together something consistent. I've been burned way too many times in the past getting excited only for them to be mediocre.

It sucks to lose him, but I have a feeling that is going to be a Zack Parise to the Wild type deal where he never lives up to it.

I don't think it's going to work. Waddell has commented on it still in support of DeAngelo. If anything Dundon will just start claiming the team can't make money here and start threatening that Houston move. I can't even blame Waddell. I'm guessing this is a desperation move trying to replace some of the production that has vanished over the last few weeks.

I think it could be a good signing. He's scrappy and has a bit of Brad Marchaund in him, a guy you hate to play against but once he's on your team you love him. The dude had 50 points in 19-20 and we got him for a million. Even if he is a problem he can be cut with no real loss. But the people over on reddit are having a beyond nuclear meltdown over it. They're claiming they're going to stop supporting the team and that they're all canceling season tickets. Multiple people have claimed they'd rather lose every single game than have DeAngelo on the roster. A mod has now went rogue and is banning accounts including the Hurricanes official account.

That last one is a massive stretch. Rhule said that he wants Sam to be a first one in the building and last one out type of guy because that's what the greats do, and that he was very mentally prepared today.

This team is so fuged it isn't even funny. This is worse than when the Hornets let Kemba go for nothing.

Winning a championship the way Giannis did is infinitely more impressive than the super team bullshit. Hopefully young stars like Luka and Lamelo realize that. I personally think Giannis' single ring is more impressive than Lebron James' 4.

I'm interested to see how things will go since this is Rhule's first real training camp.

Yeah, and its not like they didn't have tons of stuff to choose from. CTE, OJ, Patriots cheating, Colts relocation, Rae Caruth, Josh Gordon, Vick, Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, Pacman, Vikings boat, Kaepernick, Bountygate, biased officiating. The biggest one would potentially be Jovan Belcher, which the NFL has somehow successfully memory holed.

I like the show, but calling it Dark Side of Football is a little bit of a stretch. The stuff that goes on in its sister series Dark Side of the Ring makes the football stuff look like saturday morning cartoons.

This is going to be one of those things where everyone says "don't panic there's a plan" and then 3 months from now it will be blatantly obvious there was no plan.

Giannis is one of the most likable superstar players of all time. He is ridiculously humble and down to earth, I hope he stays that way his entire career.
