  1. I'd give Darnold a full half for the Patriots to tee off on him, for ole times sake, then split the second half.
  2. I hate doing this but that's wrong. Man this is just pet peeve of me, mind you. "Matt Rhule - "my job is not to pick the starting qb" and I am going to ship our rookie to 4rth string and not have a plan on how to develop him" should say.... "Matt Rhule - We have a plan for our rookie qb to get up to speed and develop him" You just disagree with Rhule's plan. I don't blame you, but don't sit here and act like there is no plan. That makes you look dumb. An NFL head coach, a QB coach who has coached Watson and Stafford, OC with HC experience, all these guys are just "lulz YOLO". Nah, I don't think so. Sam or PJ should be gone already. Corral should be getting more reps in practice and opportunities with the 2's at least. Corral should be getting more opportunities. At the same time, how do you evaluate the WR's and other positions around the QB if the QB is stinking it up? Corral looked bad, which I blame on lack of reps, but putting him in at this point may be pointless. The plan appears to be Corral is redshirting and his development can wait a few weeks until the QB's are sorted out. I disagree with that approach, but it is what it is. it's also a plan, no matter if I like it, or if you cry on a message board that there is no plan.
  3. Thing is, why did you respond to the side note at all? It just made you look dumb, imho. I don't disagree it's a bad argument, but you didn't address that and instead made a statement that made you look like you can't understand basic logic. It was an odd response from you.
  4. No his logic is Sam Darnold is a hellofa great quarterback compared to you. Likewise Matt Rhule is a a hellofa great NFL coach compared to you. Or, Marty Hurney sure is a hellfoa great GM compared to you. Personally, I'm not sure how you got Sam Darnold must be a great quarterback with what he wrote. Did you not read it? Did you drop out after 3rd grade? I don't think what he wrote was hard to understand so I'm befuddled at your conclusion.
  5. Poor song choice. Played out at this point. You hear it constantly now. Also ripped straight from Stranger Things with the Stranger Things music at the end. Great video, very well done, but really unprofessional. If Unnecessary Bluntness put this together, it'd be one thing, but from a member of the media, not some random fan youtuber, the music is just underwhelming (more so because of using Stranger Things theme song, not the Kate Bush song choice) and I feel ruins the overall production value. Sorry, being entirely honest.
  6. The hit by the second guy broke it up. Robbie had it until he got hit. If he had an another second, he would have had it secured. It was a good play by the defender. A bigger receiver probably could have held on, but Robbie isn't really a contested catch kinda receiver.
  7. Is there a list Sam Darnold isn't on the bottom of??????? In all seriousness though, this list doesn't say a lot, but it does show which teams are carried by their offense (QB).
  8. McAdoo said it's important to evaluate players in the preseason games, and not scheme so being as vanilla as possible is important so your scheme isn't getting guys open or whatever.
  9. LOL. Everyone is celebrating and at :14 he's still on the ground.
  10. It's not an argument. It was a yes or no question. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less. I didn't even intend to reply to your response...except your response was a question.
  11. PJ Walker is 2-0 as a starter. Is PJ a better backup QB than Sam Darnold?
  12. We were 11-5 in 2017. We've had 4 losing seasons straight. 4 = 10? Also, 1997-2002 was a pretty bad run. Best season in there was 8-8. Are we worse off now then we were in that stretch? Maybe. But it's definitely haven't been no decade of losing. Put down the pipe bro. Or get a watch or something.
  13. This is the only thing I take issue with because it's simply untrue. McCaffery went 48 games straight without missing a game. We did not back up "a cash truck to an oft injured RB." We paid a guy who had never missed a game. tldr - hindsight 50/50 etc
  14. Who cares? It's not like he misspelled Matt Corral's name.
  15. Potentially a high point rep? Hard to say without knowing if there was a specific point to this rep.
  16. Why? Surely you've heard of the Rhule kiss of death. How many times does he praise a player and they get cut two days later? It's because when asked, Rhule purposely says nice things about them, but purposely doesn't mention the fact they are about to get cut if we don't find a trade partner. Rhule's a talker. And apparently a pretty good one since most folks on here believe everything he says then clutches pearls when he does the exact opposite. You think he's accidentally being less than truthful? I don't know how much of this QB competition is a farce, but the statement isn't a blatant lie, though I doubt it's entirely honest either. I don't think that was an accident.
  17. You've never seen a Belichick press conference then. Though, I'd say they are the exact opposite. Belichick basically says nothing. His answers are short, to the point, and rarely addresses the actual question. Rhule talks and talks without saying anything of substance. Same result, different styles. The answer from either coach is just as worthless.
  18. Looked like a sack fumble to me, if this was a real game. Beautiful throw but he needed another half second.
  19. I wonder if Darnold can see his job slipping away. Baker with the 1's today, Darnold with the 2's. Maybe not tomorrow, but maybe one day soon it stays that way....
  20. We don't need someone to take the contract. We can afford to eat it, if it meant getting a decent draft pick in return.
  21. I would totally play a cell shaded version of Madden.
