This isn't a reason not to select a QB in the first round. But for our situation this is a dig on some of the weird Darnold Stans. The Jets have zero qualms in quickly moving on from mistakes. Meanwhile some Panthers fans want to quadruple down. Cope to the extreme.

Oh of course nobody here would turn down that money either. I agree he should be set for life with 50 million bucks plus the chance to earn more as he is only 25. Darnold has and will get more opportunities and that's more than can be said for some other QB's who have washed out of the league for different reasons some being less fair than others. That was the overall point I was making.

Cam Newton and DJ Moore have nothing to do with the fact Sam Darnold will never be a franchise QB. Neither will Baker Mayfield or PJ Walker and I don't see anyone trying to garner sympathy for them.

Sam gets credit for listening to Gucci Mane. I've never heard bad things about him on a personal level most of his teammates say he's a great guy. That doesn't make a franchise QB though there are plenty of stories like this of guys with similar backgrounds who couldn't put it all together. If it does not happen this year it isn’t going to that's just the reality of his situation. Start this weekend by getting the ball to DJ Moore and not turning the ball over. I imagine Carroll and his staff will be watching plenty of the Sam Darnold career "lowlights" to challenge him.

The Seahawks had some of the worst bandwagon fans around for several years there. The thought of those same flakes returning to watch Geno Smith leading them to the playoffs renews my dislike. Fug them.

Not at all I've lived through Jimmy Clausen this is nothing. But if you want to be a Sam Darnold jock sniffer do you bud. You've been waiting months for this lol. Are you going to take another hiatus when he inevitably sucks again?

He was 5-19 you want to hand out awards or what? Even Terry was 11-28. This team is just bad and looks like it needs a roster overhaul. That doesn't mean people are bandwagon fans or hate the team. And who tf would classify as a bandwagon anyway? This team has never been to a finals never been to a conference championship still holds the worst single season winning % in NBA history and hasn't won a playoff series in 20 years. Sam Darnold had 22 more passing yards than an abysmal Russel Wilson who should be laughed out of Denver. We might beat New Orleans and Detroit that's about it IMO.
