At this point it looks like someone who has stayed up all night ranting and raving has actually become the troll.

Erving's "effort" on the play that got Sam hurt
frankw replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
Or you're welcome to head back to your original team. Looks like they have a qb now. -
I can understand his frustration but calling out fans isn't helping matters either. Just ten years ago you would be lucky to see more than a couple Panthers fans out and about during an away game. At the end of the day this a business driven by fans investments so might be worth considering before posting

The overwhelming majority of folks here have supported him but that goodwill took a hit when the turnovers piled up. I think more than anything people just want to see a spark. The win against the Falcons was good for lifting our spirits but it still felt kind of hollow knowing how limited our offense is with the talent we had so much hope for. It wouldn't be so bad if we had a better backup qb situation. Hopefully we at least make a game of it Sunday. Expectations for PJ are very low. Maybe he'll surprise us. -
Terry definitely isn't Batum. This team has to find an identity and some toughness on the road. Melo is 0-6 from 3 and Oubre is scoreless after 7 shots.
-
Rozier 34 mins 5 points. Tough to win with a stat line like that. Hopefully he's just got to shake the rust off.

First basket in 9 minutes. Hornets having a Panthers kind of 3rd quarter.

Taking too many goofy shots.

Erving's "effort" on the play that got Sam hurt

He's talked about because he has been the Panthers starting quarterback. How many days are you guys going to wail about a post one person made? Did they say they were glad he was hurt or he deserved to be hurt? Enough with the victimhood this man is set to make 18 million dollars next year no matter how he plays. -
OBJ on your Madden team is profit. OBJ on your real football team is a nightmare.

Darnold also injured throwing shoulder on hit that caused concussion
frankw replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
Or we could have just stopped trying to run him at the goal line like he was 2015 Cam. It was always going to end with a big hit sooner or later a defender was going to look to make him pay. The Falcons were dirty enough to be the first. -

Cam deserved some criticism for when he was inaccurate. But beyond that he was a proven starter and a franchise qb. As of now Sam Darnold is not. Facts are facts. -

The sensitivity level here over Darnold is wild. You can't even talk about his faults. Honestly my friend if you're up at 3 in the morning venting about this I think you may be the one getting trolled. Hope you slept good! -

The comments to Rodrigue were foolish and definitely put him in a bad light but that was also a little overblown honestly and so much more worse things have gone on with players in this league. I've never seen such a big deal made out of press conferences or postgame attire since Cam Newton. You can take from that what you will but it's never been something that has concerned me personally. If he were a bad teammate that would be a different story but he was the opposite and never sought to deflect blame to any of his teammates in failure. But it's all the past now his chapter here has come to a close. The day that we have another player with a presence like his on the football field will be one to celebrate. We need a spark like that again. -
Advanced Passing Stats Through 8 Games(2020 vs. 2021)
frankw replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
The receivers have had some truly ugly drops but I've seen a number of passes downfield sailing over receivers heads or out of bounds. Sam has not been very accurate deep to put it lightly. -

Off the field as in what if you don't mind me asking? I can agree with you about certain tendencies now within our culture due to social media. But I myself do not want to see anyone injured. If you were expecting good manners I've got news for you. I saw many Panthers fans gritting their teeth for a decade every time Newton won a game and then when we lost all hell broke loose. In that regard honestly people have been pretty easy going on Sam there are still some here who are unwavering in their belief in his abilities and their opinion. I have no idea what the future holds for Sam but the Panthers have and will look out for him he is financially secure. I just hope next offseason we have a plan A B and C if necessary at quarterback because this year we blew it. -

Actually when I suggested the defender be penalized for leading with the helmet on that play you attacked me. Who is really moving the goal posts here? You aren't making much sense. -
When was the last time he had much game time? I'd be thrilled with a mid rounder but that seems unrealistic.

You can whine about it if you like but none of us here were the ones who put him in that situation and I said those runs would end up in a big collision eventually. -

That's up to the original poster to expound on his thoughts. I even defended Sam for the hit the defender led with his helmet. I don't understand why you don't like Cam but feel the need to speak up so much for Sam it doesn't reconcile but hey that's your prerogative. But the simple fact is unless we see a drastic change Sam does not appear to have a future in this offense. They just ran a full game where they did everything they could to limit his gaffes as a passer and It ended up getting him hurt in the process. Do you see the Giants still putting Daniel Jones out there with training wheels? Eventually you have to face facts. -

I knew that big hit was around the corner sooner or later when people were calling him Sam Newton apparently our staff didn't for some reason. Our coveted front office duo deemed Cam Erving worth 10 million dollars on the first day of free agency. They set the qb up for failure from jump street. -

Oh relax with the drama. Nobody wants to see any player injured. We don't know what his future holds as the starter here but until shown otherwise it doesn't look particularly bright rn and acknowledging that is just reality. We obviously can't wait forever for the light to finally come on for a fourth year pro. -
Blurt out strawman a few times and head for the exit. Very compelling commentary.

It's hard to talk playoffs when we've been jostling with the Falcons for dead last in the nfc south for the last two years. Yes I am happy we defeated them but that was the bare minimum expectation going into this season. If we hadn't been blown out by the Giants the week before you might see more optimism. Most fans probably want to see how we do against the Patriots and that is understandable.
