  1. You aren't going to get through to some of these ppl. They thought 5 wins in 2019 was a reason to rejoice bc we gave McCaffrey the most touches of any rb in the league.
  2. Well you'll have to look at the number of touches to form a full picture and consider that for another 16 games it obviously isn't feasible if they want him available late in the year. We have a first round WR in DJ Moore a WR we just inked to a 37 million dollar contract in Anderson and a WR we just drafted in Terrace Marshall on top of new additions to the backfield like Chuba Hubbard yet McCaffrey was by far the leader across the board in our offensive output. Despite all that we only netted two touchdowns and zero were in the second half. For game one I wouldn't say I am very concerned but we need to be getting these younger guys involved in the gameplan so they can gain continuity with Sam Darnold.
  3. Didn't do them much good last year. Goff threw for almost 400 yards the Rams took away Brady's run game and they still lost. Hate him or not Tom is good at what he does. Btw go ahead and just spam all the posts with poop if it soothes your ego big guy. Have a great day
  4. True but they defeated the opponent in front of them and kept their foot on the gas. You could be right but we'll see how the Jets do in the following weeks. At the end of the day if you want your team to get to the next level you defeat the bad teams soundly and don't let them hang around like we did on our own field.
  5. Seemed like last year our special teams was better than usual. Now we're just thankful we have someone that can fair catch without a catastrophe. I guess we're back to the same ol' same ol' now. Some things just never change with the Panthers.
  6. What's sad is if you want to see a team that previously finished with 5 wins the year before soundly defeat an opponent you need look no further than the Bridgewater led Denver Broncos. And they spread the ball around against an inferior opponent. If there are Panthers fans who really don't think our playcalling could use some fine tuning their delusions will hit a wall at some point this season.
  7. Speaking of Arnold.. https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/scott-fowler/article253280488.html "I asked him to describe his style of play." “I’m always going to be hustling,” Arnold said. “I’m always going to be trying to do everything I can to scratch and claw and to make plays, because I started out as a D-3 guy with a tryout, and then I got sent home.” I'm really hoping some of these guys assert themselves more and show us who they really are against the Saints at home. It's only week 2 but I think this will truly show us what we have in this young roster so far.
  8. For context Erving was graded at 58 for 2020 and Elflein was graded at 48.
  9. Some of that is just continuity and building chemistry which is why there was so much talk about fewer preseason reps. But we must trust our younger depth players and keep giving them opportunities if we want to do better than third in the division again. Mix things up and keep defenses honest. It should not take a career day from your rb1 to defeat the Jets by 5 when you have the WR room we are working with.
  10. Apparently we didn't score more than 19 on the worst team in the league bc we didn't want to show too much on game film this early. Now that's funny right there
  11. Sorry but we need much better than Jake 2.0 or whatever. He chucked up so many prayer balls and he would have a hard time in today's NFL without a prime 89 to pluck those out of the air and save his bacon. Sam needs to be accurate and get into a rhythm and he will be fine. But we MUST spread the ball around and quit this 1980's one man show nonsense.
  12. Yeah and we're still too predictable in those situations with Rhule like we were with Ron Rivera. Compare recent ineffectiveness in the red zone running the ball to the end of the week 2 loss against Tampa Bay in 2019 and tell me our redzone offense is much better. It really isn't and that's a problem. You can't blame it all on the line either.
  13. Sure but we don't have to have him lead the team in carries and receptions and still expect him to make something out of nothing with no holes to run through. It's a team game and the coaching staff has to spread the ball around. CMC is easily on pace to lead all backs in touches and that is not sustainable.
  14. Credit where it's due he balled out. Please bring more of this it's all we've ever asked for.
  15. Oh I know the Rams offense is going to eat that's the league now the offense has so much more of an advantage and the high scoring games sell. But if you want that SB berth you can only count on your defense so much. They'll be in the mix though.
  16. Stafford has always put up numbers but he won't get to play a team led by Andy Dalton every week. I'm curious to see how it goes when they run into a team with an elite quarterback. They got the Bucs in two weeks.
  17. He isn't a bruiser by any means but today we kept running him up the middle like he was Stephen Davis. He's a threat in the open field use him as such but good grief we were predictable.
  18. His last two teams let him walk for a reason this is why you don't buy into offseason fluff too much.
  19. So did Sam Darnold maybe we shouldn't throw stones from a glass house.
  20. What exactly has Dan Arnold done to get this hype and be mentioned in the same breath as Olsen? He's got a uphill climb to earn that level of respect and two catches for six yards ain't it. He was available cheap for a reason.
  21. We know his reputation. We can make fun of him all we want but still have to beat him. Jokes on us if we lose to that
  22. Fans that keep saying Winston is a joke?
  23. Right but Carolina hasn't manhandled the Saints like that in years is all I'm saying. We should have done to the Jets what they did to the Packers truthfully.
  24. Ya'll gotta stop leaning on this and realize other teams have talent too. For all the complaints in this thread about pessimism some folks are delusional on the other end of the spectrum too.
  25. True but I wouldn't use the Jets as a way to gauge our run D just yet. The Saints have a very dynamic offense and the likelihood is we will definitely have to muster more than 19 points.
