I understand where ya'll are coming from and tend to agree with you in general but we absolutely should still draft a QB. Let that guy come in and learn under the current veteran starter until the time comes to make a change. All of that should be up to Canales. We should proceed forward with newfound clarity after the Bryce Young fiasco and yes that means a top to bottom reevaluation of our approach to the position. But we should also be mindful that this whole thing came about because we stubbornly ignored virtually all previous common sense norms for QB evaluation and selected an outlier among outliers after trading a fortune because we got caught up in media created smoke and mirrors mainly due to the college said QB played for. Tune out unnecessary noise tone down the analytics and just draft good football players. Regardless of position. And we'll be fine.

Trading away Moore for what we did was absurdly stupid. Other than that if you undo the McCaffrey trade you also undo all the progress we've made along the offensive line because we could not afford to sign Hunt and Lewis and keep CMC while he inevitably ended up injured and wasting a huge chunk of our cap anyways. Some of you literally don't even understand what the hell you're advocating for lol. Quality coaching can change a great deal. Let Canales work.

Kirk Cousins has always had a knack for what can perceivably be vaguely other worldly regular season performances. Then he folds like a lawn chair in the playoffs. Impressive game no doubt. All the same fug him and his team. Same goes for the Bucs and Baker. Both these teams are absolutely beatable and there is no reason for our team to continue to be a doormat in this division. This franchise needs to get back to winning so badly. You've got some fans in here talking up Cousins like you'd almost forget he plays for a bitter divisional rival. I know some of ya'll wear other teams jerseys and whatnot but cmon if you wanna simp take it to the Falcons boards.

21 rushing yards. Wilks would have been a decent coach in the 90's or early 2000's. He leaned heavily on a strong running game and stout D in a league that is heavily skewed toward passing. Just not a good fit in the modern NFL. He is also as far as I know currently not coaching. People need to put this one to bed once and for all.

This hand wringing over Sam Darnold is becoming insufferable. The 49ers cut him too. Could he suddenly be a legit consistent franchise QB from here on out? I guess. Do I think it's likely? Not really. Let the season play out.

Just step aside sir. We're gonna get our money's worth. We've come too far and given up too much not to.

Andy Dalton might not be the guy I envisioned leading the team at this point in time a year ago but I'm damn sure thankful to have him given the circumstances. I'll take this competitive football and team vibe over what transpired the first 2 weeks of the season and most of last season with that other guy 10 times out of 10.

BREAKING: Panthers signing former 1st round pick CB
frankw replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Grew up in the area. Hopefully he can make some plays for us. At least we're trying to keep churning the roster where we can. -
Do we attempt to extend Diontae this season?
frankw replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Diontae wants to be here then you see what you can work out to try to convince him to stay. Can't keep getting rid of everyone and expect to suddenly back your way into an all pro at the same position. At the same time we need to see how he finishes the season. And our salary cap outlook is not great. If he wants to hold us over a barrel then you have to look at all available options. -

Schefter looks like he's wearing eyeshadow like he's about to attend a KISS concert. I'll take this information with a grain of salt. -
Panthers open practice window for 5 injured players
frankw replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Of course but when you have squandered resources the way we have the last few years on either bad to simply horrific investments when you trade up to acquire talent for a roster that is depleted across the board like ours you need to get results sooner rather than later. But he has to play this season. This is a crucial developmental season for a lot of young guys. If he can't go at all that is an unequivocal fail for the time being as far as grading the selection goes. -
Best and worst PFF grades from Panthers' Week 4 loss to Bengals

Miles Sanders Some bright spots like DJ Johnson and J Sanders and some duds that really can't afford to be at this point in their careers like Tommy Tremble and Brady Christensen. Trevin Wallace we'll have to see how he bounces back but for now he's a rook. As much as this defense needs attention in the draft we also need another TE and an offensive lineman to develop. -
High Plains Drifter. Also. F*ck John Wayne.

Panthers open practice window for 5 injured players

In terms of resource allocation to the position I agree with you completely and I've been saying that for years now. We'll just have to see how it shakes out though. -
Of course he does. He has more career earnings with the Panthers than Luke Kuechly. Who wouldn't want to keep that going? But we need to make decisions with building for the future in mind. It's time to move on.

I need to see Brooks healthy and on the field for a few games and I'll begin the analysis of the pick. Until then all I can do is wait. Arguments for having gone another direction with that pick can be made. But I would argue as of right now looking at the overall state of our defense as a whole another rookie on the d line would have a negligible impact at this point in time. We'd still be getting lit up. -
Typical Panthers. Fug turf. I wish him the best in his future endeavors. But it's time for us to move on and embrace the youth movement. Wallace let's see what you got.

Another Bama QB? Take a peek at Hurts and Jones. There are easier ways to commit seppuku you know.

Yeah those Chargers teams were loaded they folded in the playoffs because of Rivers. His longest playoff run in his career was in his second season and they lost to the Patriots in the AFC championship game where he threw for 211 yards no touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Rivers had all the talent you could ask for but in the playoffs he was just a choke artist. All the other statistical accomplishments amount to nothing due to that. But that's just my opinion. Vehemently agree to disagree. See above.

And at the end of next month Dalton will be 14 years older than Bryce Young. Still standing in the pocket slinging the rock. Bryce Young can't function within the pocket has no deep ball has to live on his tippy toes just to lob interceptions into the middle of the field can't see around his right tackle in the red zone even though there are 2 receivers open right next to each other. No amount of confidence will ever overcome that. Nobody wants to live that nightmare again. Hopefully the team has already accepted this and is just biding their time until he's traded whenever that finally happens. Other than that best of luck to Bryce on his next team. Thanks for nothing.

Rivers in his first two seasons as the starter had prime hall of famer Ladainian Tomlinson running like a madman. In his first playoff game against the Patriots in January 2007 they lost 24-21. Tomlinson had 123 yards and 2 touchdowns. His other back Turner also had a touchdown. Rivers had 230 passing yards zero touchdowns and 1 interception. 🗑

I can't stand the Manning's but Eli absolutely did his thing through both of those Super Bowl runs. I personally wouldn't put him in the hall of fame but he is without a doubt better than Rivers IMO.
