Well neither of us are doctors nor can we predict the future so to make any claim about how his injuries will affect him moving forward is entirely opinion based. We can play the would he or wouldn't he have been active if we were contenders game but again neither or us know. There are facts we do know. Both Rivera and Rhule have tried and failed at making McCaffrey the workhorse and giving him 30+ average touches a game. If the plan is to keep him healthy for the bulk of the season moving forward then they cannot use him the same way. I would hope to see him more in the receiving game and let Foreman get those late game handoffs for tough yards.

Yeah well that's what happens when you go on a podcast talking yourself up as being a good quarterback and then proceed to change nothing about your preparation when faced with a real QB competition.
-
Agreed hence the if healthy disclaimer. But Derrick Henry represents a rare size mismatch. Love CMC but if he were built like that...dayum.
-
JM was just a shithead who only cared about himself and maintaining the lifestyle he had gotten used to in college. I would not at all be surprised if Willis does well under Mike Vrabel. He went to the playoffs with Tannehill after all. If Derrick Henry is healthy they are a problem.

Cam looked meh in just about every preseason but he's also a unicorn at the position and more of an outlier. Comparing Willis to Clausen this early is pretty weak and lazy.

The term echo chamber has been used here from time to time in reference to his critics but it's plain to see the real echo chamber are the holdouts who insist anyone that isn't fawning over him is a hater who they can't wait to prove wrong. I don't care if our head coach is Scooby-Doo as long as we are winning.

We had our choice we could have moved up for Willis and Howell was available. I would have been fine with either and Willis had the highest ceiling out of all but the staff made their choice and we're stuck with it.

It definitely isn't just here. Most people out there know about Baker's potential. There are some in the media who also see a team that just sent a rookie QB to IR behind very poor oline depth so Mayfield will only take us as far as that depth allows. Pass rushers won't be letting up on a free path to the QB in the regular season. Mayfield almost got lit up against Washington. Hoping he can work some magic because I am not sold on the interior OL until I see results.

If we're going to ban people for bad takes we'll start with the folks who still think Sam Darnold is a starting caliber quarterback.

Only two shitposters think Ickey is anywhere near a bust. It's no different than the comments section of a pro football talk article. This is not a new phenomenon.

What could have been. McD and Beane

Shouldn't have mattered anyways if the Patriots weren't cheaters who knew our plays. -

McDermott is a great coach and you could tell we weren't the same team after he left. The Bills are going to be a problem for teams for many years. Their fans have been through the ringer so they deserve it. -
I really hope this is just a huddler on an alt having fun because if someone out there actually believes crap like this they just need a lobotomy.

Imagine Vrabel putting Malik behind the worst starting quarterback of last season and a practice squad QB. Willis has a real chance with a real head coach. He or any of the other rookie quarterbacks definitely would not have gotten that here. The level of sheer incompetence is comical.
-
Probably could have been helpful to get a better idea of what we had in the young draft pick when we knew our season was officially lost and we were relegated to evaluating the bottom of our roster. But yeah let's stick it to the fans and not the inept coaching staff.
-
The Titans and even the Commanders have better coaching in place that understand what to do and not do with a young quarterback. Mike Vrabel has made Ryan Tannehill look serviceable come on.
-
IMO it's a push at best. Bare in mind Sam Darnold was so atrocious as a decision maker that by the ATL game we just had him running with the ball because we were so scared of him throwing picks and then defenders got wise to that and finally made him pay.

340 more passing attempts. They arent at all far off from each other overall as players though. Some of ya'll like to prop up certain players versus others for some reason. I'm equal opportunity in my criticism. They both suck as starters or backups. Nuff said.
-
They both throw some of the worst interceptions you'll ever see the only thing Sam has on PJ is his arm talent. Of the last 4-5 years he is there was a Twitter thread about this it's buried in one of the many locked Darnold threads.
-
Only three starting QB's had a worse passer rating than Darnold last season. If you think he's head and shoulders above PJ you're living a fantasy.
