I've been critical but I would like to see him have a good game today. Talking about the draft next week isn't where I'd like to be. But this talk of running the ball more and involving Shi Smith does sound like we're preparing to wave the white flag.

We can dream. Even without him they still won against a pretty tough Denver team. Why? Because they weren't worried about hurting Baker's feelings and didn't settle for a former XFL star. They brought in Keenum.

After how many quarterbacks Cleveland has gone through in the last twenty years they aren't letting Mayfield leave town. It's funny seeing Panthers fans talk down on him. He's not even great but Sam Darnold has barely sniffed what Baker Mayfield did in his rookie season or last year and Sam was the most hyped quarterback out of that class.

The Panthers and Hornets are both in NY for a game today. One of them has to play good right?

For some folks just being better than the likes of PJ Walker and Will Grier is enough. The fact they were the only competition we had for Sam is honestly pathetic. Darnold needs to have a big game tomorrow.

Six games into the season and we're left hoping our offense can muster enough to defeat a lowly and depleted Giants team so maybe we can get on track and finish with a respectable record. That's cool but don't disguise it in this I'm a better fan nonsense if you're going to tear down other quarterbacks for fun.

The stars are aligning for us to use this game as a season changing moment. If we can't capitalize it will be another franchise low point. Get it done Panthers.
