  1. It was actually two. One last year when Bryce was benched and one in late 2023. And it's his prerogative to do that. But going around here acting as if his is the only rational unbiased word on the situation after doing so and pretending he never did so is certainly odd.
  2. Canales might end up being a dud but there's nothing he or any other head coach is going to be able to do in order to make Bryce Young taller or not have mediocre at best arm talent.
  3. This was the risk with spending what $150 million in free agency on two OL? We should have been focused on the draft. Now whether the OL is terrible bad or mid we still have the highest amount of salary cap dedicated to the position group by far. And it's only going to go up when we sign Icky to an extension. Instead of trading up for injured running backs maybe we should have been drafting OL.
  4. The Panthers are a bad football franchise. We have young receivers who are imperfect. We have had injuries along the OL. But Bryce Young is a downgrade from every single QB that has started for this team since Cam Newton's throwing arm died back in late 2018. And we have invested an absurd amount of resources in order to improve this offense. Multiple things can be true at one time.
  5. Blah blah blah blah. We don't need a huddle Steve Smith.
  6. Basically all I've gotten from you in about two days worth of responses is nothing is Bryce Young's fault and you expect absolute perfection from his offensive teammates while holding him to little or no standard despite being a #1 pick and the face of the franchise.
  7. I mean I'm not happy with the lack of rushing production either but when exactly are we supposed to establish a formidable run game when we are usually down in the box score early due to Bryce's turnovers and the defense has no fear of our passer pushing the ball downfield?
  8. Pressure or no pressure Bryce Young does not have the arm talent to consistently threaten defenses and open up the whole field. We have seen this throughout his 32 career starts. The Jaguars defense in week 1 only blitzed on 20% of Bryce Young's dropbacks and they still imposed their will and forced 3 turnovers from Bryce Young. I can present you information but if you choose to ignore it and what you are seeing with your own two eyes you are beyond help.
  9. I finally sat down and listened to what Steve said. That man was and has been revered in this "weak ass city" despite consistently being a top to bottom asshole to many of his teammates over the years and assaulting Ken Lucas. And many fans moved on from that and gave him grace as supposedly a changed man. Then he was unceremoniously released from the team by Gettleman and the overwhelming majority of Panthers fans were displeased with it. Then he proceeded to absolutely drag the Panthers in the "Blood and guts" game against the Ravens and talked endless amounts of shīt. Still most Panthers held no animosity toward him. It's just a really really bad look for him with everything that's gone on over the years to go after the fans in the midst of the worst win percentage in all of professional sports under the Tepper's. I don't think he has the temperament or the personality for sports analysis in general and he can't recognize that he is simping for a billionaire just because he's been nice to him.
  10. The Jaguars defense handled him similarly. They actually didn't even blitz much. Ultimately this boils down to how long the coaches will allow this to continue and when not if they pull the plug. Things with the OL and receivers are not ideal but there is talent here and there are still opportunities and plays to be made. Bryce is a nice kid but it's year 3 and his limitations and the ramifications of that across the offense are abundantly clear.
  11. It's almost like they have no fear or respect for Bryce's arm.
  12. Wilks is a good man and I respect him but as a coach he is very overrated. Similar to Rivera except less success.
  13. I'm iffy on Canales at best and if he goes he goes but he's not yet in the same conversation as Rhule. And I mean full picture. Matt Rhule tried to control every little thing with the team down to minute details and he was a complete tool. We'll see how low things get with DC and go from there.
  14. There were multiple passes that were either extremely low or near the ground or that actually hit the ground. It's why he finally got an intentional grounding call on that final drive when he actually had to try and win the game. Passes to the sideline were often erratic at best too. You just have your head buried in the sand.
  15. The Tepper's will be posted up in the draft room waxing poetic about their favorite prospects like always. Maybe we'll get lucky with a few picks but it's best to have no expectations.
  16. Nobody on the huddle was clamoring to sign Teddy Bridgewater before we were linked to him. Nobody on the huddle was clamoring to trade for Darnold before we were rumored to be interested. Very few people on the huddle were clamoring to trade for Baker back when he was with the Browns due to the rumors about him in the locker room. Regardless. All of them showcased more arm talent than Bryce Young. That alone cannot make a franchise QB but it can often mitigate other deficiencies. With Bryce Young the margin for error is already very slim given his size. With his lack of arm talent and the advantage that gives to defenses what you see is what you get. If you want to bury your head in the sand and reside in an alternate reality that's your prerogative.
  17. Well the team being as bad as they've been early in the season aside we're 14-27 at home over the last 5 years. At this point just seeing a competitive game from the Panthers for 4 quarters would be a small miracle.
  18. Well if we're going to dumpster dive at least we're looking on the roster of a contender.
  19. It's baffling there are still people who log in here and want to blame everything on the defense. We are 10th in offensive spending and 28th in defensive spending according to Spotrac. At this point either you work for the Tepper’s or you're related to Young.
  20. Dalton is bad too. 99% of us agree on that. And that's the point. There's still a lot of football left for 2025 as ugly as it will probably get. The time to argue about what Bryce Young is or isn't has passed. It's a wrap. QB is the target in round 1 for 2026 no matter what. Turn the page.
  21. Let's just make this clear. The best the passing offense has looked early in the season when the games actually mattered since 2023 was in Seattle with Reich in 2023 and in Vegas in 2024 with Canales. Both were Andy Dalton starts. Bryce Young has looked abysmal with now two different coaching staffs to start the season three consecutive years. No we cannot exclude the Reich year and take ourselves seriously.
  22. It doesn't work that way sir. You cannot create a thread expect logical honest discussion and then pick and choose which of his 32 career starts you want to evaluate his entire body of work on. 2023 his YPA was 5.5 For 2025 so far his ypa is 5.4. 5.8 is the average and that is being kind if I'm being honest.
