  1. They made it boring in the name of player safety, and now they're attempting to thread the needle and have an interesting play that doesn't disproportionately injure players. That's fine by me, and I just can't understand opposition to it other than just an outright opposition to change on principle.
  2. Am I to understand that people are actually upset that they got rid of the most boring play in football and are trying something in hopes of making it more interesting?
  3. The Panthers game starts at 7 est and the olympic rebroadcasts start at 8 est, so I say watch the Panthers for an hour and switch. I can't imagine gleaning anything meaningful after the first quarter anyway.
  4. Diversifying the portfolio. He doesn't need more money but he certainly wants it. Every venture by TPE is a money making venture. Every decision he's made makes sense when looking at the profit motive. Putting in grass for one soccer game was what he had to do to have the stadium host a game in a high profile international tournament, which earned him more money. It all comes down to green. And to be clear, this is not me being an advocate for his decisions. Just diagnosing the cause.
  5. He doesn't give a fug about soccer and is completely hands off with Charlotte FC. That's probably why they're actually winning games lol.
  6. I can't wait for this season to be over so we can move on from Bryce and y'all can stop bitching and moaning about the same things that y'all have bitched and moaned about for months on end.
  7. He's not being very subtle about his desire to be a Commander. If he does actually end up being traded, I'd expect that it's Washington and only Washington in the running.
  8. The Panthers are doomed to have Kenny Albert and Jonathan Vilma in perpetuity.
  9. Realistic and level-headed fanbase, Huddle notwithstanding.
  10. This Copa America has been wild with all the physical games, the refereeing "mistakes", and high tension throughout. It just boiled over last night in Charlotte.
  11. I'm sure the same was said when the Rams left LA. Only took 20 years to get them back.
  12. Well Kansas City voters just voted to reject publicly funding stadium upgrades via a new sales tax. So it seems your comment about it being a lack of passion in the fanbase that would lead a city to choose to not help a billionaire fund their stadium upgrades doesn't make any sense.
  13. So America can win something? The US has 2.5 times the number of total medals as the next highest country. We dominate the summer Olympics. And yes, people watch.
  14. Remember when someone on here said Cousins was gonna get jail time for this? Ah good times.
  15. It's Charlotte and Detroit. Hornets and Pistons are both ass. The Lions success last year doesn't undo decades of poor to mediocre play. Panthers I don't need to explain. Both the Tigers and the Red Wings haven't had any real success over the last decade. Detroit has 3 sucky teams and one good one that was sucky forever. Charlotte just has two sucky ones, but doesn't have a good one to rest their laurels on, so it's probably a wash.
  16. Bryce was bad. Darnold is also bad. Neither have shown so far that they are franchise QB material. The difference is, Bryce only has one year under his belt, whereas Darnold has well proven what he is, and what he isn't. I don't think you should let Bryce's poor play make you pine for Darnold.
