Starting off nice and weak
-
Yup and by adding a guy that doesn't need coaching. That's also why he wants Jimmy G or whoever, it would make it look like there was some amount of "progress" in his "process". In reality it's just Rhule saying a lot of words and hoping the players make him look good. We're already $30-35M over the cap next year, not sure why adding another $5M or so to help Rhule keep his job is a plus. Just delays the inevitable of him getting fired
-
Yeah anyone saying he can or is improving as a HC aren't factoring in actual in game football coaching ability. They're like "oh he let the GM actually do his job he's improving!" Wait til he blows some crucial time outs or refuses to play the best players, that's pretty much all he has control over and he'll still be bad at it.
-
Even watching those 2019 black and blue review docs on youtube, I miss having a functional staff even though they couldn't get it done with Kyle Allen thrown into action. I'd take Rivera over Rhule as my boss/manager at any job any day of the week. That's just from a respect of the human standpoint, I don't like door to door/used car salesmen types. If we're going grifters I'd take Better Call Saul over Rhule
-
That just proves there is no "process" and it's literally Rhule just saying lots of words and hoping the team just plays well despite him probably doing more harm than good. They wanted Sam, and traded up to draft Corral, time to coach. In my ideal world Rhule and Sam would get like 5 games together, if we suck they both get fired/benched and the interim HC and Corral get to give us an idea of what we actually have going on for the rest of the season.

Dunno, a say in who plays QB? Ball is in his court since they owe him another $19M either way. Or maybe he just doesn't wanna play after he cashed in after that hold out last year.
-
What's better is if he did retire, we'd have to take on all his dead cap this year, which the way they structured the bonuses and everything would be like $19M I believe. He's trying to gain some leverage for something

Or Baker or whatever other castoff they're still trying to get

Pressor was a poor choice of word

Don’t be surprised if this former panther becomes available
Jackie Lee replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
Considering we have like 15 WR's on the roster they seem to be wanting something more than what they had coming into FA, He had decent chemistry with Teddy but the Sam/Corral connection could be a dud based on their different styles -
He's just a Teddy that will kiss Rhules ass. They were both hovering around 18 in the QB rankings last year. Waste of time and it just buries Corral down the depth chart, It'll be another TMJ/Brady Christensen situation where he'll get like 1 quarter of play at the end of the season and we'll go into next draft having no clue if he's an NFL starter

MLB- Snow mentioned Shaq Taking Snaps There

So basically running the same scheme as last year where we're susceptible to the power run game, and if we do switch out the line to a traditional 4-3 it will be obvious we're expecting a run. Then they carve up our ILB's with short cross routes. Saw this way too many times last year -
some tweets from OTAs...qb are throwing

So Corral hasn't signed.. Don't know what's behind the paywall -
Mandatory Minicamp is one week from today

Yeah they really screwed that up. There is literally nothing to hide that other teams didn't figure out after 2-3 games last year. Even the Jets after the first half of the first game pretty much shut out our offense. Zod's camp photos and write ups were what got a bunch of people beyond just being casual fans. Now we get a fluff piece from Gantt and some not very in depth articles behind paywalls -
Interesting they dropped this "news" at the same time Fuchs was bashing The Charlotte FC coach in a presser and Cam released this new interview.
-
If it was actual player news it would have leaked. National media doesn't really care about being first to announce new uniforms or anything of that sort
-
If they were going to cut him, wouldn't they take a 7th rounder and pay like 80% of the salary as a last minute deal? Not saying I want him but if I were the Browns anything is better than nothing. If it doesn't happen in the next week or so theres not point in anyone bringing him in during training camp unless theres a major injury or if he only costs a couple million to upgrade your backup QB spot for one year

Panthers have second most cap space in the NFL
Jackie Lee replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Corral isn't the answer and we can't land a start in next years draft then we have to pay someone to play QB. The top 2023 FA options are..Jimmy G, Baker, Sam and Teddy lol. Followed up by possibly Daniel Jones, Minshew, Case Keenum, Mason Rudolph etc.. -

We'd have $8M in dead cap for both 2023 and 2024 if he was a post June cut next year. This article conveniently leaves out that we have negative $30-35M in cap space next year and we need to pay Burns and a QB or 2 besides Corral. Negative $30M and Corral is the only QB on the roster, getting paid like $700k
