  1. The problem with replacing Bryce Young is we have to have a QB to replace him with. Dalton isn’t that guy. We have no other young QB on the roster we have been grooming to be a possibility. so the only options we have are free agency, draft or trade. So we are stuck with Bryce until the end of the year. Problem is we still aren’t guaranteed to find a replacement. The draft is a crapshoot and I don’t see any free agent QBs that look to be much of an upgrade. we could trade for someone’s back up but I don’t think a lot of teams would want to give up their back up. Then there’s the cost, would you want to give up a 2nd-3rd round pick for a back up QB? Honestly I see us getting some other teams scraps and trying to make something out of it. Yes it’s worked before, for example Jake Delhomme, then we seen currently with Baker and Darnold. Geno Smith is a player I think could be an option. He will have one year left on his contract after this season which should be easy to get out of or for raiders to release him. Hes worked with Canales and knows his offense. Hes an upgrade over Dalton for sure and Bryce but he’s also capable of a lot of turnovers. The raiders offensive line is horrible right now so I feel like he isn’t nearly as bad as his stats show. At the end of the day he’s just a band aid to a bigger problem we need to fix.
  2. Yeah I’ve seen it. It scares me cause I hate investing a lot of money in a player. Too many variables, from injuries to them getting the bag and not caring anymore.
  3. I disagree but we will see. His brother is a good nfl RB, it’s in his dna. He played for a loaded Georgia team so his stats aren’t great but that’s because he shared snaps with other good RBs. Georgia has produced a lot of great RBs. Look at his scouting report, basically says while he doesn’t excel at any specific thing, he’s good at everything. Put him behind our offensive line and he should be able to produce.
  4. I was always worried cause his strength was being a run blocker which isn’t what you want in your LT. I don’t think he’s the best LT at pass blocking but I think he’s good now. I just wonder if he’s worth paying top LT money?
  5. Honestly I think Etienne is going to be our future Rb. Hes good at everything and has little wear and tear. Brooks is not only basically a rookie but also hasn’t played in 2 years which requires him to get into shape. I think there’s hope for him but the odds are low.
  6. What’s funny is we were supposed to be bad this year anyhow. So losing any game isn’t really a big deal. the shock is we somehow have a winning record and only a game behind winning the division.
  7. Doesn’t matter, the fact is he did it and it wasn’t just a few plays of anything questionable, he balled out. I wonder if Bryce just didn’t have the confidence or Canales still had the training wheels on and was holding him back by limiting him to short passes?
  8. Considering the injuries on the offensive line, I think it’s hard to complain about that considering we are down to our 3rd-4th string offensive linemen.
  9. It’s not like Atlanta has a bad defense either. I went back and looked and they haven’t even given up 300 yards to a QB this season. The most I think they gave up was 255 to Drake Maye. Josh Allen only got 180 yards against them. So it’s not like Bryce just got lucky against a bad defense.
  10. I know he probably had to get in game condition after being injured and missing many games but I think he’s found it. For some reason our coaching staff wants to use XL over Coker and I don’t get it.
  11. So this has to make us question if Canales was calling players that limited Bryce’s passing. Ive theorized that a lot of the play calling, not Bryce himself is the reason why we are not getting a lot of yards in the pass game. Lots of short/quick passes, focusing on the run game. I feel like we changed the playbook/gameplan around this week and Bryce excelled. you can’t say it’s cause Atlanta’s defense is bad because they weren’t giving up a lot of yards to Josh Allen and other Qbs.
  12. Well it doesn’t matter how open you are if you aren’t going to catch it. Catching the ball has been an issue for XL. I want him to succeed and he does flash greatness here and there but his consistency isn’t there.
  13. XL only caught 4 out of 8 passes too. Meanwhile Coker caught all 4 of his passes. Coker needs to be our #2. He’s more consistent than XL.
  14. We invested a mid round draft pick on, he has experience with the team and we are loaded with injuries at that position. Nothing more than a depth piece.
  15. Wasn’t his fault, the guard stepped on his leg. Funny thing is Bryce is going to win us the game.
  16. So does this mean our play calling was holding Bryce back? I always felt like we focused on short, quick passes and the run game to take time off the clock which limited Bryce.
  17. How many times have we seen XL drop a ball, show no effort when the ball gets thrown to him? I think XL alone is to blame for a lot. Coker just came back and seems to be getting into game shape. So we really don’t have but one good WR to throw to.
  18. While I do think the gameplan is to blame for some of the problems, for example you can’t expect Bryce to put up big yards when he is barely passing the ball 20 times. I also think we need to demote Legette and let Coker get his reps. I do have a problem with giving up on a Qb after 3 years. Look at Alex smith for example, he was worse than Bryce but finally put it together in about 5 years. It takes some player’s time to develop. I say let Bryce play and then we decide what to do with him at the end of the season. We have no young QB to replace him we and can’t expect to sign one off the street and start.
  19. I know people will say that Bryce is clutch, he won us games in the fourth qtr, blah, blah, blah, but we wouldn’t even had been in losing position where we needed a score to win if Bryce had just played average. We shouldn’t be thanking him cause he plays so bad for 95% of the game then finally has one good drive in the end.
  20. We going down with Bryce. We want to give him every chance this year, hoping he can improve. If he doesn’t then we will probably move on
  21. I feel this isn’t fair. Bryce isn’t throwing a lot of INTs, he had a lower int % last year than Baker and many other starting quarterbacks and his rookie year he only ranked 16 in INT %. Then you have to consider some of the horrible WR play that led to INTs.
  22. I don’t know if people realize that Evan’s was one of the top TE prospects in college before having some horrible injuries. I wanna say he had two major injuries in back to back seasons which limited his play and dropped his draft stock.
  23. Yeah but Wilkes took over after we already was the worst team in the league and had a winning record and took us from the worst team to around the 7th worst team and we did that with PJ walker as Qb for most of those games
  24. I think Sam Howell has potential. He’s just turned 25 and has experience. He had a horrible offensive line in Washington and not really a good WR corp. I also wouldn’t mind Mac Jones or Trey Lance. I think Lance has potential too. Yes he looked bad in SF but he was very young and it can take a few years for Qbs to develop and the right system. I think we can give him another chance. I honestly want us to have a QB who could possibly be a full time starter and win for us, Andy dalton isn’t that. Bryce could also improve but I rather be safe than sorry.
