  1. Hes 6’4 what you mean lack of height? I’m hearing his strength and arm length is in question but I would rather have a offensive linemen who is technically sound over and having average physical traits over a player with great physical traits and no technical skills. there’s been plenty of offensive linemen who ended up being great that didn’t have the physical tools but were technically sound and there’s been plenty of bust that were elite physical players but were raw technically.
  2. Just a big WR that makes big catches and has some speed. im not saying he’s going to be a bust, I just have memories over the years of WRs with similar builds that ended up doing nothing. Reading that Tennessee changed their offense this year does give me some hope though. still just cause he’s 6’5 and has some speed doesn’t mean he’ll work out.
  3. But the point was there’s been a lot of tall wr being bust, even from Tennessee as someone listed above. Dorial Green-Beckham also comes to mind. Remember Kelvin Benjamin? he simply reminds me of some of those former players, argue if you want.
  4. I posted one of the names I remembered above. Sorry I can’t remember every 6’5 wr draft bust by name
  5. While I want to like this pick, I can’t help but think of former 6’4- 6’5 WRs over the last decade or so that went in the first 3 rounds that ended up doing nothing. The names escape me but I know there’s been quite a few over the last 10–15 years.
  6. Love the pick. Even if Icky comes back and back to form, moton is getting old. If Icky doesn’t return to the same level he was before, we could be without 2 starting tackles in 2027. Moton turns 32 be for the season starts. We don’t know how many more seasons he has left or if his play drops off due to age. Icky can be moved to guard if he does come back being good. You can never have too many good offensive linemen.
  7. Wow I didn’t know about YPRR. Apparently it’s a very good indicator of a WR being successful or not. Only a few of those WR have shown a flash of success. Brian Thomas had a great rookie year but was bad last year. Golden flashed in the second half of last year but I also think it could be misleading with YPRR cause he’s a YAC receiver.
  8. That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools. also why not draft a tackle in the later rounds that we could move to guard or center if they fail, instead of drafting a center? If we draft a center we know they aren’t going to play tackle but if you draft a tackle they could end up playing any of the 3 positions, look at BC for example. It feels like it’s a better decision to draft a tackle in later rounds than a center.
  9. Green is about 9 months older. If he didn’t put up that 40 time would you even be talking about him? Green would be a lot bigger of a project. Sawyer could also improve as well. Allar had a lot of hype behind him but last season basically undone all that. I think it’s very possible that a team might take a risk and still draft him in the 2nd or 3rd round cause of his potential and what he did before last season. so we probably won’t have a shot at Allar cause we have too many needs to draft that high on a qb.
  10. Great post! Now that I think on it, I think D line might be our biggest need. We are one player away from having a potential disastrous defensive line. Brown and Wharton struggled last year and Wharton has really only been a rotational player that specializes in one thing. Can we count on him being a full time starter? Jackson is unproven. Do you want a starting defensive line of Wharton, Brown and Jackson? I don’t want to risk it. I honestly don’t think linebacker is that big of a need. If Rozeboom ends up coming back then why get a LB? games are won in the trenches and I would honestly prefer us drafting an offensive or defensive linemen over any other position in the first. The prospect you mentioned seems like a good prospect who has had some good production as well. Only problem is defensive line is a position that can take time for a player to develop. Will whoever we draft be ready this season ?
  11. Great post. 5 different playbooks in 5 seasons then there’s the fact they wanted him to play multiple positions including edge? that’s got to be insane imagine having to have to learn basically every position on defense except DT. How can you ever focus to get good at just one position? Then on top of that he had to learn a new playbook every season? on top of that I bet coaches dealt with a lot of uncertainty on the roster with him. Wondering where they put him, having to compete with people that only do one or two positions. I bet he was also overlooked on depth charts cause he was never decided on what position he was. all those changes could really hamper a player. I’m not saying he’s going to be a star here but who knows what could happen when he stays on the same team with the same staff and playbook for more than one year.
  12. . If he can be a great special teamer and we can at least use him in special roles on defense where he can make a big impact then I’m fine with that, I think that’s a win for a player who’s probably on a vet min deal. If we can somehow get him to be more than that then that’s a big win. While the odds are against him, it’s very possible that he puts it together here with a different coach/system. There’s been plenty of players who’s put it together later in their careers. He was on 2 bad teams that seem to be horribly coached as well. There’s a big possibility he wasn’t coached up or used to his strengths. I know people look at him as a scrub but it looks like he never missed a game in his career, playing 89 games, it looks like he started the majority of those games too. So he must not be horrible if two different teams would let him play for 3 entire seasons for them. no I’m not saying that means he’s good, but he’s at least a solid back up with lots of experience and he’s in his prime.
  13. I know people hate one him but he’s not that bad. I could be wrong but didn’t he play a lot better during the second half of the year? still he’s a vet with this system/staff and is better to have him than some unproven rookie. We can still give Ransome a chance and may draft or sign a safety but he’s an okay starter and at worst good depth piece.
  14. We can draft a tackle and not rush him to start or have to worry about starting him and he not being ready.
  15. I think he did a one year deal cause he knows he will start. If he plays well he can get a big contract.
  16. Yeah I agree. Yes Crosby could be right and the ravens could be in the wrong. We really don’t know. Crosby could end up starting the season healthy and it wouldn’t prove anything cause he’s going to have 6 months to heal.
  17. Yeah, you honestly expect a player and his agent to be like “yeah well he’s still injured and his recovery isn’t as good as reported “? especially when he’s trying to get onto a new team? when do players ever admit things like that? Sports is always just a bunch of PR BS. Everything is always fine, they are never in the wrong. also I love how people just automatically think it’s the Ravens in the wrong, like the raiders have been a great and honest organization in the past. there’s also the fact that not every doctor/medical staff will believe the same thing. Some doctors/staffs are better than others and they have different opinions. its very possible that Crosby thinks he’s perfectly fine in his recovery but the doctors just don’t think it. players lie too.
  18. Before injury I would have been fine with him being our LT but we don’t know how long he will take to come back or how well he’ll be. I think his injury shouldn’t hurt his play but we will see. Hes versatile and always does a good job when he’s on the field but for some reason we never seem to want to make him a starter.
  19. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if Samac ends up starting. Hes spent a year with us and it’s possible our staff feels like he can be a decent starter. We wouldn’t have let Mays go if we didn’t feel confident in replacing him. I feel we could also find some cheap vets or draft a center. Tackle is the bigger issue. We don’t know if Icky will even come back to be a starting level tackle. Moton is 31 and we need his replacement as well. Drafting a tackle in the first would be the best option. We also need some depth if one gets injured. Yijman is a great option and so is BC but we don’t know when he’ll be back
  20. I don’t think we would spend that kind of money on a LB that can’t play all 3 downs. It said he played 331 coverage snaps last year and only gave up one TD so him not being a coverage LB seems kinda like BS?
  21. I was specifically talking about them talking about the sacks. Still injuries happen in football. He was healthy all last year. so he could be fine.
  22. Are you talking about last year? Cause I thought last year he improved a lot in coverage. Heck how did he get 5 INTs if he wasn’t playing on passing downs?
  23. It’s funny how ignorant nfl fans are. Claiming he is a bust because he doesn’t have a lot of sacks. Which shows they only read box scores and know nothing about qb pressures or how players can cover or affect the run game.
