  1. Ben Roethlisberger, 6 game suspension after the DA dropped the charges. It happens.
  2. Regardless of what anybody thinks the NFL has a precedent of suspension without a conviction. This is a fact that you cannot argue out of existence.
  3. Nickel is our base. It's used about 75% of the snaps. http://www.heraldonline.com/2014/10/07/6399039/panthers-follow-trend-adjust-to.html
  4. Do you feel gender bias is a big deal only when it goes against males?
  5. That whole segment is there way of getting around proof. It says it doesnt matter if you are convicted. Im just the messenger here.
  6. You have seen Cops right? They always say "someone is going to jail here" This doesnt equate exactly but there is reason for it. Im not saying the process doesnt have flaws.
  7. In the case of real abuse how can a thorough investigation be carried out immediately? Its a tradeoff that gives real victims some protection and allows them to report the abuser without fear of reprocussions. Its not perfect but that is the reasoning for the tradeoff.
  8. if a woman is truely beaten and calls the policevyoy dont think the man should be arrested for her protection? It sucks if you are innocent but I think its pretty reasonable for protection of a very real and common problem.
  9. http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogpost?blogname=nflnation&id=21598&src=desktopSTANDARD OF CONDUCT While criminal activity is clearly outside the scope of permissible conduct, and persons who engage in criminal activity will be subject to discipline, the standard of conduct for persons employed in the NFL is considerably higher. It is not enough simply to avoid being found guilty of a crime. Instead, as an employee of the NFL or a member club, you are held to a higher standard and expected to conduct yourself in a way that is responsible, promotes the values upon which the League is based, and is lawful. Persons who fail to live up to this standard of conduct are guilty of conduct detrimental and subject to discipline, even where the conduct itself does not result in conviction of a crime. Discipline may be imposed in any of the following circumstances: Criminal offenses including, but not limited to, those involving: The use or threat of violence; domestic violence and other forms of partner abuse; theft and other property crimes; sex offenses; obstruction or resisting arrest; disorderly conduct; fraud; racketeering; and money laundering; Criminal offenses relating to steroids and prohibited substances, or substances of abuse; Violent or threatening behavior among employees, whether in or outside the workplace; Possession of a gun or other weapon in any workplace setting, including but not limited to stadiums, team facilities, training camp, locker rooms, team planes, buses, parking lots, etc., or unlawful possession of a weapon outside of the workplace; Conduct that imposes inherent danger to the safety and well being of another person; and Conduct that undermines or puts at risk the integrity and reputation of the NFL, NFL clubs, or NFL players.
  10. Y'all may not like what CRA is saying and it might not be fair or right but its the reality.
  11. This stupid Commissioners list will come to an end when a few more players of influential owners get put on there.
  12. How does my recognition of Cleavland and Ohio as a poo hole equate to hate for Gin.
  13. Correct, but there was no rule to now say has been changed. Who knows what will happen...
  14. Whatever it is they need to just do it so that both he and prospective teams can move on accordingly
  15. But two games wasn't the rule or the general outcome as it was handled on a case by case basis. PED and Drug offenses were handled by the CBA while personal conduct issues where not. That lead to each one being handled on a case per case basis. There was no prior rule so to me any new rule can applied IMO. I'm not trying to defend the leagues handling but I don't think it's out of line much either. To me the problem is they have to set something and stick with it and not have the Guantanamo Prison thing going on. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/nfl-domestic-violence-policy-suspensions/
  16. He's a better punt returner than kick returner. He returned more punts for us than kicks the year he was here. Also, he has returned more punts than kicks the last 4 seasons.
  17. That's exactly why he won't fit in well here. If and when we go through a bad spell, if and when we aren't a big passing oriented team he will be frustrated just the same. He can be pretty good but it's not like he is a top receiver.
  18. It is a wash between he and Bell and likely more expensive. Hopefully they are fishing for a 1 year deal.
