  1. At worst he slides into the BC role if Cade Mayes beats him out. Solid move.
  2. NT - Bobby Brown III DT - Tershawn Warton Edge - Charles Omenihu WR - Slayton S - Holland Draft: Trade: Seattle gives us #18, #50, #82 We give up #8 #18 - Jalon Walker EDGE/LB #50 - Xavier Watts S #57 - Kennith Grant DT #74 - Mason Taylor TE #82 - Kyle Kennard EDGE #110 - Ozzy Trapilo OT #113 - Cobe Bryant CB #141 - Danny Stutsman #147 - Raheem Sanders RB #164 - Nick Nash WR ***trade**** #229 2026 - 6th round #182 - Oluwafemi Oladejo EDGE #182 - Oluwafemi Oladejo EDGE
  3. Compared to the other options available, is there THAT much difference between him and Sweat? Sweat benefited from a STOUT defensive line. If we could trade Clowney I would like a combo of Wonnom/Landary and mid round draft picks along with an improved Dline. Even if we cut Clowney that frees up nearly 8 million. I'm sure we could get a 5th/6th for JC in a trade.
  4. His defense is similar to Fangio, Morris, and Zimmer's. Pretty sure there is a disciple of an extremely similar scheme that has been successful with the right players. Not a total wash if he leaves.
  5. After seeing Debo go for a 5th, I would offer a 6th or 7th
  6. I'd offer a 4th or 5th round pick all day any day to get this done.
  7. He looks like an EDGE in the mold of Demarcus Lawarence. Intriguing
  8. I'm on team trade back. 1. Walter Nolan is our missing link with a healthy DB. 2. I like Ayomanor as a more complete receiver than Isiah Bond. EA's down field blocking is nasty, and he is field fast as opposed to 40 yard dash fast. 3. Donovan is a solid pass rush specialist. 4. Landon Jackson would provide both versatility as an Edge setter and rotational DE for our odd front. 5. Thomas is a great CB option to develop behind both Mjax and Horn 6. Schwesinger being available here would give Morgan a mile stroke of happiness. 7. Jaylin Noell is a great speed/slot guy that could learn a ton from AT. 8. Ollie Gordon would be the perfect power compliment to Chuba. 9. Reed would be a solid developmental safety that played well after Winston's injury. 10. Conyers is an athletic freak. Put him behind Sanders and Tremble. 11. GCL = developmental tackle.
  9. This information is given to teams as they attempt to plan ahead for the future impact of restructures. This is good to great news for us. Good news that if Brant Tillis does his accounting correctly we can kick the can on a few bad deals with minimal impact, Moten in particular. (Great player, bad cap number. You can do a three year extension much easier now) Great news when you consider that we need to sign some of our existing free agents to deals, Horn/Mjax.
  10. I'll start..... https://www.nfl.com/prospects/oluwafemi-oladejo/32004f4c-4111-0743-ebea-7a82f613f94c Oluwafemi Oladejo and.... https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jamaree-caldwell/32004341-4c28-7735-daba-7d55546b6660 Jamaree Caldwell O2 as more of a Luvu comp and Caldwell as the nose tackle we have yet to sign for the past 7ish years
  11. I don't envision a scenario where we take Tet at #8 and we improve the team as a whole. We need to maneuver our draft to build the D-line and LB room. Pull off some Free agency magic and then I'd consider Tet at #8. I see more value trading back to the teens and picking up an additional 2nd.
  12. Graham and Nolan should be our top two options. If we have learned anything from Philadelphia is that a Stout D-line is a key to success. Brown, either Nolan/Graham, and a combination of either Norman-Lott/Alfred Collins (3rd round) followed up with Robinson makes a SOLID D-line rotation. This would open up things for Clowney and Wonnom who are under reasonable contracts. Draft someone like Kennard or Princley at 57 (or trade up a little 50 - 48) and we are cooking. O2 from UCLA is a great prospect similar to Walker that could be had in the 4th or 5th round. We use free- agency to fill out lesser expensive positions like safety, RB, and LB. If we sign M-Jax back that is a huge win for us as well. This would allow up to focus on EDGE in FA and the draft next year. Once Brown's contract expires, we resign either or both of our DT's from this year to replace his cap hit. After this season we should be in a better place to rotate in draft picks and expiring contracts annually. When we trad too many picks for mid QB's and are terrible drafting in rounds 2, 3, 4 it results in zero depth. Morgan and Tillis have an opportunity to put us back on track over the next two seasons. I'd be trying to get either or both of Talanoa Hufanga and Tre'von Moehrig. Moehrig is likely out of our range because LV has an insane amount of cap space. Julian blackmond or Justin Simmons would be good signings that wouldn't break the bank at S. LB is pretty cheap in the free agency market, specifically ILB. The same goes for backup RB. I'd take a flyer on Ollie Gordon II or Rocket Sanders in the draft as a power compliment to Chuba. The RB's in this draft are so deep we could likely steal a high quality UDFA RB from this draft as well. The kid out of Syracuse runs too high, but is a beast. Pretty sure his name is LeQuint Allen. I see him anywhere from 4th to UDFA.
  13. 1. (8) Not this big on TET. If Graham is off the board I'm looking at trading back to the mid-teens to pick up another 2nd or VERY early 3rd. If I had to pick here, it would be James Pierce Jr. or Malaki Starks 2. (57) Kennard is a good pick here, but I would be looking to see if I could land Deonte Walker/ Ormar-Norman Lott/ Alfred Collins with this pick. We need big guys on our D-line. 3. (74) This is my wildcard WR/TE/CB/S/DT/DE spot. This is another pick I would be willing to trade back a little if what we really want doesn't fall our way. Jaylin Noell, Gunner Nelson, or a second impact DT/DE would be good here. I'd be looking at Ormar-Norman Lott or Jaylin Noell 4. (110) Begin offensive drafting now.... I want the best RB available at this time. Ollie Gordon II - Let's put a pair of Cowboys in the backfield!!! If he is gone give me Rocket Sanders from USC 5. (113) One more DT!!! I love this kid out of Maryland! Jordan Phillips 6. (141) Literally a prayer that Jaylin Noell is available here. If not, I'm looking at Nick Nash Jr or Juice Wells. 7. (147) - Oluwafemi Oladejo -(LB/EDGE) Think he may have a little Luvu in him 8. (164) - This is the pick I normally earmarked for a developmental OL player. I fully believe that we are going to resign both Corbet and Cade Mays. Corbet can step into the BC role of the Ultimate swing OL piece. With that being said, I think we look at FA/UDFA to build a depth piece this season at OL. Looking at the depth of talent at the RB position I am tempted to grab Rocket Sanders, but I also know I can use my 7th or UDFA for a speed RB. I held off and grabbed a nice developmental CB out of Iowa Jermari Harris 6'0 185lbs. 9. (229) - Sai'vion Jones - 7th round, give me a 6'6 280 pound EDGE from a SEC Powerhouse to develop.
  14. Easy 15,7 off the books by cutting dead weight of Yosh, Dane, Sanders, Tuttle. Restructure Brown and Hunt, sign Moten to a short extension with void years and we are in solid shape for free agency. I'd be shopping for a DT, S, and WR. Focusing on Slayton at WR, Moerhig at S and Milton Williams for our FA class would be superb and doable. Adding them to a healthy DB, Wallace, Horn, Robinson, would greatly benefit our defense.
  15. #8 - I'm still on team trade back, but Pearce is growing on me. His run defense is very strong, could be a great value pick. #57 - Collins = best run defender in the draft. Fits a solid need. Him, DB, and Robinson will be solid. #74 - Royals speed freak with a great route tree. #109 - Schwesinger solid MLB with pass rush ability and could be a special teams freak while he adapts to the NFL #112 - If Mukuba last this long it would be a miracle. This pick is a good spot for a safety. Moore from Alabama, Bowmans from OK could also be options here. #140 -Dylan Sampson. He has big play RB potential. I'm not sure he really fits in our scheme. I wanted Ollie Gordon II = big bruiser. He could be a good 3rd down back and So see pick #216. #148 - Belton. We need an offensive linemen that actually plays tackle full time for depth purposes. I was going to a no trade draft, but I can't help myself. Trade = #168/#223 and a 2025 4th round pick in exchange for #172, 215, 216 #172 - Jordan Philips Maryland. I would have drafted him at #168. Lab built physical DL specimen. Very young, let's develop him. #215 - Jah Joyner - 6'5" 260 freaky athlete. Have him learn under Clowney for a year and turn him into an Edge setter with pass rush ability. #216 - Mullings - 6'2" 232 - Give us a big back where we can rest Chuba in our Jumbo set.
  16. Our most likely quality, but subdue more at WR would be to target someone like Darius Slayton. We aren't getting into the Tee Higgins business unless we want to drive up his price. Chris Godwin is coming off a serious injury, is a little older, and would likely cost double what DS would. Additionally, you'd likely pay double for nearly the same production. My top FA additions for us would be the following: 1. Slayton WR 2. Tre’von Moehrig S 3. Milton Williams DT/DE 4. Kenneth Gainwell RB 5. Poona Ford NT You would likely have to choose between Williams and Ford, but this would give us so much more flexibility in the draft. In this scenario I am assuming we resign, M.Jackson, Tremble, Corbett, and Mayes. I really believe that we could get Corbett to take over Brady's role of utility lineman. It's not a crazy thought. Look at his NFL and College experience. College LT, played guard for the Browns and Rams, transitioned to Center with great success for us, and most importantly, he wants to be here. If we hit in free agency we could trade back and leverage our picks to load up on the strength of this draft. Or we could zero in on Will Johnson and not feel as if we had ignored our needs. We have a cap wizard and through some basic restructures of Hunt, DB, and signing Moten to a short extension we will have more cap space than we initially anticipated. Draft: Trade with SF to #11 and get #43 in exchange for #8 Offense: QB: BY, Kurtis Rourke, Plummer RB: Chuba/Gainwell/(rookie thumper Ollie Gordon II)/ RB TE: Tremble, Sanders, (rookie - Mitchel Evans), Franks LT: Icky (Yosh) LG: Lewis (Zavila) Center: Corbett/Mayes RG: Hunt RT: Moten (Austin Barber) WR: Legette, Cocker, AT, Slayton, David Moore, (Matthew Golden) Defense: NT: Poona Ford DE: DB, AR, Crumedy, Milton Williams, (Omarr Norman-Lott ) OLB: Clowney, Wonnam, (Princely Umanmielen ), DJ Johnson ILB: Jewell, Wallace, Windmon, (Carson Schwesinger), Shaq - rotate between ILB and OLB CB: Horn, MJ, CSW, (Will Johnson), Farley S: Moehrig, Richardson, (Malachi Moore) , Franklin, FA ST: JJ, FA K - Cade York, Heckler
  17. Damn.... I guess I'm banging the table for Ashton Gillotte as my mid-round EDGE draft crush.
  18. OR..... If we miss out on Graham with #8, use our 2nd round pick on Walker. You can't teach 6'6 345 LB's that can get sacks
  19. Derek Brown, Mason Grahm/Deone Walker, Ashaun Robinson Solved. I'm still on team trade back to late teens and pick up an additional 2nd round pick. I'll take Jalon Walker as an Edge along with Dani-Dennis Sutton.
  20. Next year Clowney and Wonnom have a combined cap hit of 21 million. Honestly, that isn't bad for two decent players. I like Wonnom, If he improves against the run he is a solid situational pass rusher / back-up / spot starter. That's what 8 million buys you at the EDGE. Clowney on the other hand has a 13 million cap hit. Not terrible, but he needs to stay healthier. Adding a rookie who can play 30 - 40% of the snaps could help keep JC healthier IMOP.
  21. Draft him and his EDGE mate DDS!!!!
  22. You need to invest at all levels of your defense so you can have draft picks develop. Brown / Robinson are good investments at one level. If Wallace makes a jump we could be solid at LB with an opportunity to draft a solid payer next to him. Clowney and Wonnum aren't terrible at the EDGE for 20M combined. Perfect opportunity to draft at that position. Having Horn locked up on one side, and hopefully we can pay Mike Jackson we are good. WHEN he resigns, hopefully we can keep him on the books for 12.5 million (2025). I doubt a new contract would be that cheap. Safety is a huge hole. We will need to sign a quality free agent. Safety may cost us resigning one linemen, thinking BC. After watching the ND/PSU game I'm ll in on BOTH Abdul Carter and Dani-Denis Sutton. If Carter isn't there, I say we trade back if we can get an additional 2nd to drop back in the 1st round.
