lol McConkey would have fit in so much better IMO. Interestingly enough, the two picks we traded up for are the ones that are giving me some serious pause right now.

He made it harder than it needed to be. That was a concern Brugler noted (who had him around 70 overall, and said many teams had him as a 3rd-4th rounder). He tries to do too much on throws that don't require much. Extend the hands and catch.

Or you just draft the WRs have have less acclimation needs with route running and college starting experience.
-
I hate to say it but his drops are becoming brutal.

settle down

That move by Thielen. That's what he needs to pass down to Coker and Legette. Great experience there.

Time to go for a home run here.
-
Pleasantly surprised with our interior pressure right now.

Seems a lot still look at defense here through a 4-3 base lens. If you draft Graham, we need to cut and save with Ashawn at DE. Robinson has been average, but uncharacteristically bad vs the run. Unsure if it’s because he gets the attention with Tuttle (average) and Ray (really bad)…but it’s a problem. In addition, Graham he could play interior in our Nickel looks where we’ve slotted Harris who was wretched. So after some consideration, the fit could work well with Brown. But we would still need a focused attention at upgrading our OLB. We need an upside pass rusher there badly.

Current Draft Position & Potential Prospects

If we somehow find ourselves in position to draft Ricky White III, he's a WR that could fill that hole in R2-3. He's a dude I like a lot for us. -

JAX plays TEN, OAK & NYJ and agree - Jones, as mid as he is, was able to move the ball decently in that offense. They could easily land a win. -
I don't see anyone that would be either long term or short term beneficial. I think we need to continue to develop our room through drafting like the Packers, Lions and others have done. The $ for FA should go to the front-7.
-
I honestly don’t see the fit although like the player a lot — but if he’s elite you take him and make it work. He would need to be DE opposite Brown but is a true 3 tech- a natural 4-3 DT. And we just signed Ashawn to a 3 year 22 mil deal who is a true odd front DE. On top of it, it would give us no one on the odd front that really gets at the QB but with a ton invested on the line at the same time with Rob, Tuttle, Brown and Graham. You need a Madubuike type to balance out that room. Maybe that’s him.

Mid week discussion: via Trevor Lawrence hit.

Also serves as a reminder that Darian Stewart and Brandon Marshall suck. -
Not to mention the red is right fecking there - if he couldn’t see if the ball was secure to call it complete and no officiating angles could, then what are we doing here? So any catch in this particular scenario is simply a case if the ref feels like they caught it or not - without being able to see it.

That is such a high quality slow motion video of a completely legit TD catch. How in the world does the NFL not have official cams on either side of the end zone?

Starting to see more prospect discussion and figured to drop in a few lines: DRAFT POSITION The short: We currently stand at #5 and I think this is about where we land. We are 1 game separated from 1OA (currently JAX) all the way back to pick 11 (currently CHI). https://www.tankathon.com/nfl My Reasoning: JAX is simply a wildcard - I think their remaining schedule is all winnable, but it's a faltering situation. NYG could very well lose out, tough schedule, terrible team. They would still be ahead even if we lose out and they win 1 remaining. They seem like the highly likely Cam Ward destination/Can't see Deion supporting his long time nemesis. NE is playing AZ, BUF (twice) and LAC to close out the year. If we both lose out, they're still ahead of us. Hunter is an easy pick here. LVR have some winnable games, also play JAX week 16. You never know what Raiders team you're getting weekly, but Shedeur makes too much sense for them - question is - where do they land? CLE has a BRUTAL stretch coming up and could easily lose out, moving ahead of us. With this in mind, I think highest pick here for us is #3 unless Drake Maye or Drew Lock pull off some stunners. Lowest pick is in that #10/11 range. If we get just 1+ win (which seems likely), I think we end up at #5. So, okay, there's my reasoning. MINI-BIG BOARD And now the big board talent - more/less consensus from what I'm seeing (minus QBs who's value pushes them up): 1. Travis Hunter DB/WR Colorado 2. Will Johnson DB Michigan 3. Tetairoa McMillan WR Arizona 4. Ashton Jeanty RB Boise State (talent is this high, but doubt he goes top-5 in the current climate) After this...it's really hard to sort bc they all start to have warts, the EDGE talent is not good, but names you'll see: Shedeur Sanders QB Colorado Cam Ward QB Miami Mason Graham DT Michigan Malaki Starks DB UGA Abdul Carter OLB PSU - Where we benefit: Ward & Shedeur will be going to QB needy spots and early. This brings Hunter, McMillan, & Johnson into contention. With that being said, as mentioned, New England seems a likely landing spot for Travis Hunter. So long story short: Johnson DB v. McMillan WR v. Graham DT is the debate I foresee having as things escalate. The EDGE class is simply not worthy in the top-5 (I need a hard sell on those guys) and don't really see the value elsewhere unless we really like Starks. Many are already talking McMillan and I think it makes a lot of sense. Seems like a situation where staying in that top-5 helps. So maybe yesterday was a blessing in disguise. If we drop much further, there may be a prospect commonly ranked in the 20s right now that rises into consideration with how this draft class is muddled. That top-4 is clear and it's just a big field of late 1st/early 2nd rounders IMO. Put Bowers, heck Amarius Mims in this draft class, they're both going top-5.

The good thing is that if he's going to have game hurting growing pains, this is the optimal season to have them. Obviously, hope he starts doing this a bit less haha.

Targets/Types that we really need to move forward: -An all-pro level WR talent (Hunter, maybe McMillan towards the top of the draft) -A shiftier, vertical threat at WR that can rotate spots (I.E. Ricky White Jr.) -A more balanced OLB that can both set and rush (Harder to come by, but there's some talent - Donovan Ezeiruaku please -A complimentary corner to Horn (Which is why Will Johnson, who is arguably the #2 overall talent in this draft, is not out of the cards)

This one sucks because this was probably the first game Bryce was willing this team to a win. And everyone around him screwed up.- 2,035 replies
