So dont even see what he has in the preseason and just cut him? What if he has something in him that propels him into a quality QB? No time to see if or if not last year due to preseason injury

The Anti-tankers…. Never forget!!!!
Ricky Prickles replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
That one did not even cross my mind but it should have because you are absolutely correct -
I understand why. If you remember correctly when he played, most of the time when his name was mentioned on here it was usually followed with his skin color. Its a reality some will not admit to but not the full reason either. Some of the other reasons I think included somehow his family's ties to Jerry and how the theory was that he was given the roster spot because somehow the Bersin family must have had some sort of dirt on ole Jerry like they knew his favorite website to whack his doodle to or something incriminating. He also had a couple flubs returning punts and people never forgot that. All three of those together got him lots of hate and smart comments. He did catch most of everything thrown his way but he was definitely replaceable and eventually was even if Brenton's grandpappy knew how many times Jerry shuffled his old dusty chicken to Two Girls And a Cup and threatened to tell the world.

I dont think we have seen the best of Shenault yet. Maybe I am wishful thinking (probably am) but I feel like he has a ton of untapped upside to give us.

This is what my theory is and I agree fully -

It's just message board talk/theories/banter so take your time and relax, I don't want you suffering any sort of season ending injury on that Wii golf thing. I don't necessarily even believe what I typed fully but just throwing it out for conversation so don't sacrifice your game performance on account of little ole insignificant me. -
Depth signing and nothing wrong with that at all! He may not be the best out there but he is a veteran and can help some younger guys I am quite sure. Decent human being too

That's a pretty solid list there. Maybe Jon Beason? John Kasay possibly? Your choices were very solid and all guys I would have included too.

The Anti-tankers…. Never forget!!!!

Im an anti tanker but I feel like management possibly tried to sneaky tank last season and it didnt work out. I believe they fired Rhule who they knew was garbage after the first couple games (took long enough) and replaced him with Wilks who they thought would stink it up worse and send us into the depths of the NFL. Turns out Wilks is a thousand times the coach that Rhule ever was or will be in the NFL and it backfired on them. Had they kept our bumbling idiot as head coach we probably would have finished much worse. To top that off with our QB carousel of crap I felt like they knew we struck turd and were ready to be led there by bad coaching and turd QB'ing. The shockers were Darnold looked better with Wilks and Wilks being a good guy got the players motivated. I think plans became to tank but management made moves that accidentally made us gel a little better like showing Rhule the door and Wilks making Darnold look much better. -
My favorite draft pick this year! I feel like he is going to become something major here and be our #1 eventually. It will only help that Young is such an intelligent QB and has so much potential also.

I am not going to crown him a coaching genius yet but I will say he sure beats the hell out of that moron Rhule still being in charge.

The Anti-tankers…. Never forget!!!!

Players on incentives that were close I would give the option but also the warning that we don't want them hurt that last game and do have the goal to evaluate hidden talent who may not have played any other way. If they had incentives to hit I guess I would have made the tough decision to allow them to play even though I would have preferred they rest and be safe from injury. That's the only way I know to handle that situation and keep everyone happy. -

Now this is COMPLETELY agree with. I wondered that week as well why we could not just use it as an evaluation game and work in every bit of practice squad talent and talent that has sat the bench while resting some important starters to avoid injury risk. It would have done nothing but help. This is not tanking at all as we are trying to win and evaluate what we have on the roster in actual games with live bullets flying -

It's all hindsight in the end and what player on the team is ACTUALLY going to try to screw up and tank so that he can be judged for it and cut after the season? The whole idea of successful tanking is ridiculous. There were goof balls on here wanting us to tank two games into the season last year as I remember reading it and wondering how mentally challenged they actually were. How in the absolute hell would ANY player or coach agree to this knowing his job will most likely be gone after his intentional abysmal play or coaching on the field? The whole idea is ridiculous. -
They sell pills that supposedly put length on someone's johnson so they should have a pill or two out there that would put height on someone's body to "bulk them up" a bit I suppose.

More Greg Hardy weirdness is all I guess. He has a wacky personality, if he could cut the cursing down he could probably host a tv show and win a third successful career.

So what’s Greg Hardy up to these days
Ricky Prickles replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Huddle Lounge
It's the off-season and he is a former player. It's just news and carrying on conversation. If you don't like it, you didn't have to even click on it did you? -
Another one falls into the trap that is Sam Darnold

Seemed to be a nice guy, I hope he succeeds there. If he can anywhere it will be there. -
Panthers invite XFL player to mini camp

He sounds like worth a try out to me! How about that running back from the XFL? We need more RB depth! -

Need to see what the guy has in him before casting him away. He had one preseason with limited snaps playing with non starters and coached by the biggest dumbbell in the history of modern day football. Give him a season or two and see what this competent staff can develop him into. He is mad yes but he will get over it and who knows could turn into something. When I start to get irritated at him for what he posted, I try to remember that if I were in his shoes I would probably be pissed as well and wishing I was somewhere else so I can't fault him too much. To top that off he is probably what, 23 04 2r years old? I had attitude myself at that age as im sure many others did. Im just saying that he should be held onto for a little while as you never know if we may need him but you also never know if we may be able to develop him with good coaching and even get something decent for him if Bryce develops into what he should. -
Panthers Fans Never Learn
Ricky Prickles replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
This whole thread reading the original poster's thoughts and another or two people's make me wonder why some even follow or support this team? Why even bother when something that is supposed to be enjoyment turns into something so negative? -
Two names I did not think would ever make that list when they were drafted was Chase Young and Mekhi Becton
