Cam was a better runner. Allen is a better thrower. But this isn't an even trade. Allen is a decent runner but is a much better thrower. Cam was a great runner but a poor thrower. I dont think this is controversial.

I like Tremble and would like to see him have another year in this system. I cannot imagine he would cost much.

And its all about trends. This year was the year of the RB. So teams the beefed up the lines were having success. Previously is was all about speed speed speed. LB's used to be the most important position in football and now they are almost an after thought. I still remember the year of Double Trouble. The league was obsessed with 3-4 fast LB's and fast DT's. We loaded up on big OL guys, FB's and we pounded the rock. This was the one year that I felt like we were in front of the curve.

Thats true but I think its easier to find LB's in a 3-4 than it is to find DE's in a 4-3..

Im fine with BY being boring for interviews. I did always think Cam handing the ball off to kids was cool.

I thin kjust getting Brown back will improve the run defense by 10 spots. Overall... I dont care so much about have a top ranked run D. As long as we are average thats good enough. You cannot have everything.. I would rather put effort in rushing the passer and pass defense then run D.

The big take away I got from Dave's post game interview was how he was saying the playbook is now wide open. We all know this but... Sounds like early in the year Dave was very cautious about what he called as he was not confident in BY and what he could execute. Now Dave has that confidence. Im excited to see what he does next year.

Im ok with this. They literally stripped the cupboard bare and then our best players on the defense got hurt early. Last year it was his defense that was keeping us in games despite the offense. I think we need to give him another run at this.

I'm of the mindset that you don't screw up winning games. Also if we had the #1 pick I would be a big proponent of trading down. This draft feels more like quantity than quality.

And based on the analysis I would agree with that.. I just think that is too rich of a thing to draft for this team.. we need to ether draft the best player at a specific position.. or trade down.
