I think there’s Pitts and then a big gap to Jordan and Friermuth and then an ever bigger gap to the next group.

The logic is higher draft picks so better chances to get your guys. One win could be the difference between drafting a DT in Brown or a stud QB in Herbert. One win could be the difference between drafting one of the big 4 QBs in this class and having to trade up and lose more picks just to get a QB because we won a literal meaningless game.

It’s prospect fatigue. People have been talking about him for years so they look harder for flaws. Same thing happened with Herbert. When you have these guys blow up for just one season you have less film to kill them for.

I, personally, don’t think it’s a great idea to trade *our* first for him. However, he is likely worth that to a few other teams. He’s a really good player.

He’s talking about Parcells boxes for QB drafting. None of the QBs in the class checked all of them but Lawrence was the closest. Last year it was just two QBs.

I could see him panning out but I believe it’ll take years. He’s my worry with Lance as well though. That people are expecting him to come in year 1 and compete with Teddy and be ready to start year 2. I see him as a year 3 you can put him in the starting lineup and year 4 maybe he can take over games kind of player. He didn’t throw the ball in high school and spent just 1 of his three college years playing football that counts. He has the equivalent of 1 full season of throwing the ball over the last like 7 years. He will need plenty of time to adjust. The other side of the coin is if he can come in and pick things up quickly then maybe he is what people hoped the Cam Newtons of the NFL would be between running and passing.

He’s a good NFL player. If you’re hoping some rookie who has never taken a snap in the NFL is going to be as good as him, then just offer the pick for him. I’d rather have a known than an unknown. I wouldn’t offer a first but he’s worth trading for if it’s not first round picks they want.

And I mocked everyone wanting us to draft him. And I was a jerk for how I did it but I viewed him as the biggest boom or bust round 1 QB in years. He regressed too much from year 2 to year 3 for me.

If he had his rule as Herbert would have been the only day 1 QB he would draft and Hurts be the only day 2 that would have been really solid.

I wouldn’t trade up to 3 for Lance when I believe he will be there at 8.

I can’t see the Eagles letting JaMarr Chase get past them. He’s was by far the best WR on the LSU roster last year on a team that had Justin Jefferson on it. They need pass catching help in the worst way and he’s the best WR prospect in the last few drafts.

To me he is the best player in the draft like Chase Young was last year. If he is there when we pick we have to take him. That being said, just like Chase Young, there is no way he falls to us.
