  1. Since Brown took over playcalling our offense has produced 15, 13 and now 6 points. 11 points per game on offense since the switch.
  2. So three games into this and we put up: 15 , 13, and 13 ( 6 offensively ). Offense has produced 2 touchdowns in three games. Our offense has also given up two touchdowns during this three game stretch as well. The offense didn’t look smooth under Frank but the point totals were significantly better.
  3. I like Justin Fields, not the Bears. These two QBs make Fields look like an All Pro though.
  4. I just got home from my daughters play and see we got a touchdown on a return and done not much else but we have the lead? I’ll take it!
  5. My daughter is in her first school play tonight so I’ll be at that and miss at least the first half of the game. So that’s probably a positive!
  6. I wouldn’t have labeled them as one year 1. And both of those ended up leading to significantly more talented players being drafted right after them so I view both as a Net Gain lol.
  7. Bryce has 33 play action pass attempts for 264 yards. He’s towards the bottom of both attempts and yards.
  8. You can’t be a bust in year 1 unless you don’t make your teams roster or something.
  9. Ok well like… you think maybe this iteration of you here on the Huddle can be a cool contributor and have discussions without picking fights? Let the past be the past?
  10. It’s Tyson lol. But yeah, it’s because the Bears can run the football and the Panthers struggle to stop the run. Then factor in Sweat actually playing this week after only getting 25 snaps last week and still leading the team in pressures. That being said, it’s a Thursday night game and they are notoriously bad games that usually don’t make any sense.
  11. I often argue with mods here and don’t get banned. I’ve only ever had one warning and they were right for giving it to me. Maybe you push things too far?
  12. Why do you keep getting banned? And why do you keep making new accounts admitting who you were that previously got you banned? Also, you are crazy to think Stroud doesn’t make it to year 3 lol. He’s going to have this rookie season and then by season 2 the team gives up on him and cuts him?
  13. I’m not mad at the defense at all. I think they have played admirably. When you looking at “points against” you have to remember a few things: 1. Bryce has been pick six’d twice and fumbled away a ball that got returned for a TD. So that’s 21 points right there. 2. Bryce has turned the ball over 6 times on our side of the field which lead to I believe four more touchdowns and a field goal. This means the defense just got off the field and now they are back on and then they get gashed for a score. You’d have to be a top 2 defense to be handed that field position repeatedly and not give up many points. So my silver lining is the defense has been better than the score has indicated outside of the Miami game but even in that game our defense scored points for us.
  14. Trevor Lawrence’s first NFL game had DJ Chark and Laviska Shenault as his guys along with Chris Manhertz and Marvin Jones. He threw for 300+ yards, 3 TDs and 3 INTs. They threw downfield. He made flash plays that showed you he could be the guy and why he went first overall. Why is anyone comparing Bryce to him favorably?
  15. I’m sure if we followed another team we wouldn’t know Teppers wife’s name but would likely know said owners wife’s name.
  16. Yeah I wrote this after the Sunday games. Those guys that are “playmakers” never had a 100 yard game in the NFL before. Each tight end had been in the NFL for five seasons before this. Nico Collin’s has more yards and TDs through 8 games this season with Stroud than any complete season the two years prior. Tank Dell was like the 11th WR drafted. Yet he’s outperforming plenty of the ones drafted earlier ( and they drafted him because CJ asked for him ). My point is they are being enhanced by CJ Stroud. Collins, Brown and Schultz are all on pace to have career years catching the ball and Tank Dell looks to be a good one. Do we really believe by watching the actual games that all of those dudes would be having career years with Bryce?
  17. I just have to hype myself up going into each week, man. Thats all I am doing lol
  18. Bryce Young's turnovers have been the difference in three of our losses. I expect him to kill it against a poor defense Thursday night.
  19. I get my hopes up every week watching this team and then try not to get too frustrated by the time the game ends each week.
  20. But the Bears were coming off of a terrific offensive performance the Sunday before that and there is little time to gameplan for a team on short notice. So Fields went from: 28 of 35 for 335 and 4 TDs to 1 INT to: 15 of 29 for 282 and 4 TDs to 0 INTs. Washington was coming off of giving up 30+ points to the Eagles before giving up 40 to the Bears. Chicagos offense is coming off a performance where their undrafted QB this time threw 3 INTs and will likely be the starter Thursday night. Fields is considered day to day still. If Bagent is starting I don't expect much from Chicago. The Bears last two performances were 13 points and 17 points. We get this W.
  21. Agreed. There is no metric right now one can point to based on preseason play and say if they do X at a Y level during preseason it means big things are coming! Its like the new "hes the training camp MVP" when the guy was WR8 or 9 the previous year on the practice squad. It gets folks hyped up right then but in the grand scheme of things it probably didn't lead to anything.
  22. There’s far too many examples of dudes being all world in preseason and it not translating to the real games. And there’s far too many examples of dudes struggling and then the switch flips for the regular season. And with the new strategies for preseason with only three games it’s even harder to tell what’s going to translate because coaches haven’t found that sweet spot yet for playing vs resting.
  23. Preseason would have you thinking Stroud was an INT machine and he wasn’t ready for the NFL. Preseason ultimately doesnt tell you how somebody is about to perform in the regular season.
