didnt feel like looking up your exact question b/c that would be crazy tough to find but over both of their entire nfl careers jake averaged 203.6 ypg 7.2 ypa byoung 178.6 ypg and 5.8 ypa.....watching them both play vastly different players entire other end of the spectrum and jake wasnt a great athlete he just was a player who made things happen but then towards end of his career the little athleticness he had left and so with it his greatness.

the one thing this post has suprised me with is how much support there still is for young. i dont understand why. we had qbs before him that went to superbowls that lost support way quicker. thr only qb we had had that started any number of games that played worse than young is clausen. allen and moore played better and yet people still support him makes 0 sense to me

newton had horrible accuracy every agrees on that his athletic ability made up for it. bryces accuracy from just watching is on par with newtons but newton had a way sttonger arm so would attempt alot more longer passes. bryce attempts short passes for most part still has horrible accuracy and has prtty much 0 athletic ability to go with it

i really cant think of a single time an nfl player has came out and ever said yeah that guy sucks even when the qbs completly suck

Haha I was still off was thinking of mac jones he has done extremely well this year with basically no weopons as all the 49ers are hurt except for mcaffrey but he is playing slow this year for some reason.

It would be a complete panther type decision to give byoung a huge contract make him a top paid qb... in reality matt jones has shown more this year than byoung and he got basically nothing in freeagency. byoung has done nothing to get paid a new contract at all.

This is what gets me with the byoung supporters . yes the panthers can win with him he just needs another player to carry him. he isnt building up anyone on the team. Byoung is not going to ever be anything but a lower tier qb thats b/c he doesnt have the physical ability to be more. will the panthers win a few games here and there yes just enough to keep them from picking a high qb but they will never succeed win playoff games with byoung.

this was a really good analysis but the media wants byoung to be great so they will prop him up no matter what. its kinda funny when i see people posting sanders isnt starting and the nfl hates him bc he is black i think well bryce is black but the nfl loves him even though he has done nothing in 3 years and that totally destroys the sanders race issue. seems to be more just an issue with his personality. anyways great analysis reallyputs it into perspective

I didnt see that many bad calls in the panthers cowboys game, but the chiefs especially in the playoffs were getting every single call they could get then the refs when it didnt matter would throw a call towards the other teams. That I believe was the taylor swift effect. But its crazy just thinking about how easy it is to change a game. You dont need but a single ref to make a few close calls go towards one team over the other and in the nfl that is the game.

rico gotta be rb1 he has put the team on his back and willed wins last 2 weeks as well as defense stepping up

The panthers can win this game just need to keep byoung from passing and have a great rushing and defensive performance. side note dart for the giants looking good .

i would love to have coaches and players just be honest for like a week when reporters ask them questions. just blunt honesty. would make the nfl more interesting i dont know but its all just becoming kinda boring

its crazy we just a little into this season and already feels like so little to discuss panther wise.

twitter and facebook panther fans have the worse takes they are die hard ride or die bryce fans and seem less so panther fans

it still amazes me how much blind loyalty people have for byoung. delhome and newton didnt get this much loyalty and they actually took the team to the superbowl. young has sucked since day 1 and showed almost no growth in 3 years and people still blame every coach and player on the team for holding his greatness back. i dont know how anyone can watch a game and not see his limitations.

yeah i am guessing young is out of the league in 4 years unless the panthers do a panther thing and give him a huge contract and bring in 0 competition for him

I feel like pff ratings use to be worthwhile lately I dont even know what they are using to give the ratings they give .

my favorite take from the facebook bryce young diehards was a guy giving bryce credit for handing the ball off correctly to rico saying quote rico didnt take the snap from center....the qb play bar for the panthers is so low that some fans actually think bryce not fumbling the hand offs to rico is something he deservers credit for lol they won but somehow there wins still feel like losses.

i must have missed last year lol. bryce played ok in a few meaningless games at end of the year.

thats basically bryce coming for any coach he plays for career

as a panther fan i dread what we all know is gonna happen. every panthers win no matter how the wins come despite horrific qb play will make the panther front office think byoung is something he is not. they will lock him up long term and we will be stuck watching crap qb play and going no where for the next however many years until they finally admit failure and move on.
