  1. Fox chased those 2 pt conversions in SB 38. Had he not I think they needed the winning FG to tie. I seem to recall Pats made a 2 pt conversion but they wouldn’t have tried it if we had just stuck to the 6pts plus 1 pt standard. He did a great job getting us there, and that loss hurt bad.
  2. He ain’t making that up. It absolutely was bad if you disagreeed with Bryce as the pick prior to and OMG after was worse. Ridicule, lots of lowbrow behavior, don’t really give a poo if you disagree with that. It truly was the source of much resentment in the people that were the objects of ridicule for having a negative opinion about The Processor.
  3. If that really happened it isn’t a Bad sign. They still can’t really hit people though, can they? Like QB still playing touch football?
  4. Reading all of this I concluded he got the teardown right. Damn good at that. It’s that pesky doing something something to get better that he cannot grok to save his life. I am feeling like he has learned more of what not to do, but he hasn’t proven it yet.
  5. Jake to Proehl. Greatest Panther season to me. Ahead of 2015. 2015 team may have been better but that year was just freaking great.
  6. It was intentional thanks for noticing. You are the first to call it out.
  7. You are a fan, right? Do you think your opinion is something to be disregarded when analyzing the Panthers?
  8. That 1st... the Panther thing would be to trade it for a haul because Bryce slightly improved, and totally squander the haul.
  9. Brother, I have no fallback. Was anyone but Bryce and he has done very little to change that into 'oh poo i am a dumbass’ but he could. My whole thing was/is, even if he somehow succeeds you are making it way harder than it needed to be. Why? He could succeed but that would still be true. And what degree of success makes people into idiots for doubting? Success will be a low bar for some, a high bar for others, mine is high.
  10. The doubters for sure want the team to succeed. It is a matter of belief in him being the guy to make that happen that is in people’s minds. My official pole would put that number at 80% not convinced, there are varying degrees of doubt. And 20% has some degree of faith, with a good 10% all up his jock no matter what. edit: Not convinced, ranges from some uncertainty all the way to hell no, never-no way.
  11. With a custom made scheme he can probably do better. I think we knew that last year. Never saw it. And what does ’better’ mean? It would have to be Clark Kent to Man of Steel type better to make enough difference. When the red jersey comes off, we’ll see.
  12. They keep interviewing him, like he didn’t completely suck last year. All I want is him to keep his head down and his mouth shut and get his stuff together on his position. That’s all. Just do that.
  13. So, I found more which is after the trade deadline vested vets have to pass through waivers. What I didn’t find is do you lose your position if you claim a player?
  14. I kind of don’t care anymore either. The hopeful side says I want to see what they have done. The 2023 me might say 17 will be more than enough. I’m watching replays the last two years as it is.
  15. Yeah we missed Beane. Man, titles... a single division title would call for a month of feasts and hedonism after what we have been served.
  16. I thought Sueliman was in on decisions like not trading Burns, for one. Is that wrong? He’s gone too, probably for a reason.
  17. It is something like the stages of grief, we are almost at acceptance. (or many people are, I probably should say instead)
  18. 1st one I thought of. Wahle was only here a year? We have had some pretty decent guys that we got from under the radar that pulled a couple of relatively decent years but that was mostly with Cam throwing to them. Imma give Proehl his first year as a wonder just because.
  19. I do understand it and agree with the burning desire to see wtf we have with this new coach and outlier QB, I get that. But I got over it. I have no expectations for the team as far as like, winning. I am trying to look at it as if the season is one long project. The best practice they can get will be this year. That’s too bad for the guys that can already pull their weight to have to slog through a learning season but they signed up for it.
  20. If he has the 5th year option in place I’d prefer to gamble that he raises his value with a good season rather than do something now. If you are going to do something. Okay we know absolutely tha every guy is not Thomas Davis but Thomas missed a ton of time and when he got straight he stayed pretty healthy and was a valuable player. I can’t name names but there are surely other examples of missing time on the front end of a good career...
