Darnold isn't very good and Robby Anderson has forgotten how to catch a ball. We clearly came into this game determined to get him going. All he's done is respond by not catching anything thrown his way.

This. Yeah, plenty of 1st rounders end up busting. But VERY few reclamation projects ultimately end up working out. Especially outright bust reclamation projects.

Everyone here knows I was staunchly against trading for Darnold. We had a chance to atone for it when Fields was there. We had a chance to add a legit backup by trading a late round pick for Minshew. When we passed on Fields and neglected to add Minshew, we were effectively all in on Sam Darnold. Now here we are. We just gotta ride it out.

No man crush. He's just proven to be better than Darnold during his career and would've come far cheaper.

Darnold is in full on meltdown. I tried to temper expectations last year and this year. With new QBs it takes opposing DCs a bit of time to get their gameplans dialed in based on what they see on film of them in that system with those particular weapons. The truth starts to come out after 5-6 games. The truth with Teddy was disappointing. The truth with Darnold is starting to look full on disastrous.

If you fire Brady while never giving him an OL to work with and only Bridgewater and Darnold at QB, I think you're going to be very disappointed with the level of candidates campaigning for a crack at that job.

When you have time to survey the field and you hit defenders between the numbers with your passes, that's on you.

It's why I wanted to make the move for Minshew. A 6th for a legit secondary option was a no brainer IMO. We have no one to realistically turn to. Walker isn't the answer.

I've said it for weeks now. The better the protection and the more time he has to survey the field, the worse the result tends to be. I thought it was potentially fixable but I'm starting to be convinced that it's not.

CMC is out and we're sticking with an atrocious IOL lineup. They're #2 in the NFL in sacks. Statistically, everything says this is likely going to be a close, tough fought, defensive battle. With our OL situation and Darnold starting to turn it over in drives the past couple games... oh wee mayne. One of the absolute best pass rushing defenses in the NFL is a bad one to face when your QB desperately needs a get right game.

They're almost always terrible games and I really do think that if you looked at the numbers you'd find that injuries are significantly more likely in TNF games. It's just not a good formula for quality football. It's just a money grab from a league already making TONS of money.

If teams collectively boycotted TNF by refusing to play their starters maybe that would get the NFL to finally stop this terrible idea.
