  1. How can you disagree about his receivers being wide open and his protection being outstanding?
  2. There's no such thing as a sure thing in the NFL draft.
  3. Nobody thought all those other highly drafted OTs were gonna bust either. Remember Robert Gallery? He was supposed to be the best OT prospect in a looking time. Some don't even think Sewell is the best in this class. Yeah, Sewell is a very good prospect but better have busted.
  4. For everyone begging for Sewell while talking about the risks of the QB prospects, feel free to take a look at the loooooong list of 1st round OT busts in the last 15 years or so.
  5. No one has a crystal ball. Sure, one of those guys could develop injury problems like Garappolo. Goff was always physically limited. It was baffling that he was a #1 overall pick. His arm is average at absolute best. Same with Foles. He has a good arm, but concrete boots for feet. All three of the draft prospects we're talking about as well as Watson have a lot better physical tools than Goff and Foles.
  6. 3978 yards 27 TDs 13 INTs 4688 32 TDs 12 INTs 971 yards 6 TDs 1 INT in the playoffs Those guys were pretty damn good during their SB year.
  7. Every Super Bowl roster has holes. But they don't have holes at QB.
  8. That's up to the folks making the decision. Me the fan? Yeah, I can fall in love with any of the three of them.
  9. If the trade for Watson looks like a long shot, I agree this might be the best path forward.
  10. Were they as PROSPECTS though? It's easy to say that knowing what they turned out to be in the NFL. Watson showed the ability to play some real hero ball at Clemson but he was kinda like Fields in that sometimes he looked like the best player in college football while in other games he just looked flat out off. Mahomes had tremendous raw talent but he needed a lot of work from a footwork perspective and their were a lot of question marks about the offense he came out of. Those guys were good prospects but far from slam dunks.
  11. If we're sold on a particular prospect, I'm all for it. Yes, there are four very good QB draft prospects available but history says they almost certainly won't all pan out. Trust your evaluation.
  12. What I'm saying is I'm fine with drafting any of the three of them.
  13. My preference of the non-Lawrence QBs is Wilson but it won't shock me if any out of Wilson, Fields, and Lance proves to be the best of the class. There's a lot to like about all three but legit reasons for concern too.
  14. Kaepernick was a sub-60% college passer. VERY few of those guys work out.
  15. When is the last time a guy with his physical traits was drafted in the 2nd round?
  16. How would he be a 2nd rounder in a normal year? What does this year have to do with his draft value?
  17. It seems like player weights rarely get updated though out their careers even though some clearly fluctuate. If I was betting money, Trai was north of 360 in recent years. Dude was getting to the point where his waistline needed to be measured in yards.
  18. A lot of OL just keep going back to the Pro Bowl off name recognition alone. You really thought Trai deserved a Pro Bowl nod his last year with us? That was a joke. If he was a legit Pro Bowl caliber player we wouldn't have traded him for a LT who was already reportedly mulling retirement. Norwell has been the better OG for awhile now. He's not the elite OG the Jags paid him to be and that's why he got released, but he's a serviceable starting OG. Trai just seems to have mailed it in and he's been fat as poo for years now.
  19. Honestly, I don't know. His motivation level seems questionable at absolute best these days and I think we're going to have a lot of young OL in the locker room. Not sure he's the best vet mentor for that type of room. If we're bringing back a former player on the OL I'd rather have Norwell.
  20. My guess is that we're trying to sign him to a multi-year deal. If that fails I expect him to be tendered.
  21. Just as important as "DJ Moore would've caught that" is "DJ Moore wouldn't have nearly blown his Achilles trying to go get that one"
  22. I don't want this to happen, but the ACC should seriously consider cancelling the remainder of the conference tournament. UVA's NCAA bid is already in doubt at this point. All the remaining teams are locks for NCAA bids, but any teams that have a COVID issue moving forward are probably going to be eliminated from the NCAA tourney due to the requirement for seven consecutive negative tests. There just won't be enough time to get the tests done. UVA is already going to be pressed to do it.
