  1. That was pre-delta variant numbers. Delta is about to be the dominant variant in the U.S. Honestly, it probably already is.
  2. The Pfizer vaccine is significantly less effective against transmission the delta variant. An Israeli study found it 64% effective. But it was still highly effective against serious symptomatic disease.
  3. This. I'm honestly not all that interested in Darnold's play during camp or preseason. I want to see what he looks like when the games actually matter and once opposing DCs have film of him in our system to study. We'll know who Darnold really is by Halloween.
  4. What are you talking about? If he's such a great player on a contract that adequately reflects his play, what's the problem? Why would we be discussing potentially releasing him? It's almost as if you're coming around to the opinions you've been so diligently arguing against.
  5. Quote what you have an issue with. Good grief, man. Your homerism triggers you into irrationality and borderline delusions.
  6. I said his play isn't worthy of his contract. It's not. He's a decent player paid like an All-Pro. That isn't disparagement.
  7. I said Shaq was a decent starting LB. No more, no less. Then you came with... well, exactly what you're accusing me of.
  8. It seems some people are just sensitive and try to put words in other people's mouths when they should probably instead focus more on the barely comprehensible jumble of word vomit they're typing.
  9. We could be an OL away from competing IF this staff and front office are correct on Darnold. Safe to say I have my doubts about that. But this D is close and the offensive play makers are ready.
  10. For what? Good starting OTs are the hardest OL pieces to find. It would be tough to get enough in return to justify the hole it would create. I'd feel very differently if we had quality young depth behind him, but we don't even know who's going to play opposite him much less behind him.
  11. If he was very good no one would have an issue with the contract. As a starter, he's basically a JAG. He's not a liability but he's not a difference maker either. He checks a box. You have to reserve the big cap space contract for the difference makers.
  12. He's a decent starting LB. Nothing more, nothing less. He's paid like an All-Pro and that's the problem. No one would be complaining about Shaq and his contract if his contract was reflective of his play.
  13. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather get Moton locked up long-term, I'm just saying that franchise tag this year and again next year is a viable option.
  14. We aren't going to lose him. Hell, we can even tag him again next year if we have to. IMO, this is largely about LT or RT. I have a feeling the Panthers want to pay him as a RT and then play him at LT. Moton's agent probably isn't an idiot and sees right through that.
  15. If the possibility of seeing people make positive comments regarding our former QB is so triggering for you, you could always just not click on the thread but invariably there you are in every thread about Cam like a moth to a flame.
  16. Not gonna happen. Hell, we'd almost certainly tag him again next year if we're forced to.
  17. Yes. 100% Smitty would get in over those guys. No contest.
  18. The good news is that all of our best talent is still too young to be having HOF talk. Virtually all of our core players are 25 or under. Moton and Shaq are the "old men" of the crew at 27.
  19. I honestly don't see it with Daley. His play hasn't been very good and he seems to be injury prone. That's a pretty terrible combination. I just don't think he has the feet to play OT. If he has a future in the NFL, I think it's at OG but we'll see.
  20. Hell, it's why I sold last summer. It's shocking it's held up this long. But looking at median household income a and median home values, something has to give and soon. The math just doesn't compute. It hasn't for awhile. We were well above median household income and we'll below median home value in Evergreen and we still felt borderline house poor.
  21. The only similarity is the college team they play(ed) for. The entire staff and schemes have changed over since Trubisky played. I became a true believer in Howell during the bowl game this year. He went up against the best defense in the SEC who had no bowl game opt outs and were looking to prove they had been snubbed from the playoffs, meanwhile his #1 WR and both 1000 yard RBs opted out. He still looked like Sam Howell despite multiple bad drops and predictably virtually no running game what so ever.
