Kyle Trask isn't an NFL QB. I was shocked when he was drafted in the 2nd. I thought he'd be a late round flyer type of pick.
-
Brock doing his best Bryce impression today
-
If you're a top pick you're going somewhere super trash. I think Maye has jumped on the worst grenade.
-
We aren't equipped for Darnold to have success. He needs a perfect offensive situation and he's still gonna break your heart when you need him.
-
I sure wish we had that mid-tier guy instead of our backup Arena League guy.
-
Stop looking at stat sheets and watch games
-
I'm sure the Browns would LOVE to just come to an injury settlement and move on from that disaster
-
That's where the problems arise. When you need Darnold to lift you up instead of just being a cog in the wheel.

REPORT: Panthers will not trade Chuba Hubbard
LinvilleGorge replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think I got it cleaned up. -
The Giants D is LEGIT. If they had any offense at all they'd be hard to mess with. One of my good buddies is a Giants fan and we joke that even though our teams are ass if we could pair the Dalton Panthers' offense with the Giants' D we'd have a playoff team.

BREAKING: Miles Sanders available for trade
LinvilleGorge replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's just undesirable as a trade target with his contract. Outside of that Philly offense he's looked like a backup RB. You don't trade for backup RBs with starter contracts. -
Good comparison. Similar player in that he has a big arm and can make some eye popping throws but when you get past the highlights and look at the whole it's a lot less intriguing. He doesn't have Levis' prototype size either. He's one of those likely mid-round picks to watch though. I can see a universe where he works out and becomes a legit NFL QB.
-
I ain't mad. Good for him. He's always been capable of great play he's just rarely done it consistently.

This is where we are as a franchise. "Hey guys, we need to post something for game day what does everyone have?" "Uh... well... we can remind people that our long snapper has played a bunch of games." "That is a terrible idea. No one is going to get pumped up by that." "That's the best terrible idea we have." "Fug it, we'll roll with it."

I think they're kinda opposites. With Clowney, people got obsessed with the potential based on physical talent. With Bryce people were willing to completely overlook all of the glaring red flags on the physical talent side because they were convinced he was some type of football wizkid savant.

Yep, all it takes for Lawrence to look like an MVP caliber QB is to play a bottom of the barrel defense. The Pats look almost as bad as us defensively.
-
Yeah, I think people sometimes get caught up looking at just prospects who they deem as elite. Just like every draft there will end up being good players who didn't project as elite prospects and the smart teams will find them. In other words, I don't like our chances. LOL

Saw this meme and chuckled like "yep, that's literally me" LOL

It's all about the eye test in the rookie season for me. I don't care about the W-L record. I don't care about the stats. I just want to see you look like you belong and we can work on developing that as time goes on. Anything more than passing the eye test is icing on the cake. It was very obvious very quickly that Bryce was dramatically failing the eye test. It's why I'm happy with Legette so far. Yeah, there's things he needs to work on but he has the tools to work with. He's checking the rookie box for me.

Clowney is one of the bigger draft disappointments. Not an outright bust but definitely a disappointment and has just managed to have a long NFL career basically on just sheer freak talent. That guy hit a Michigan RB really hard one time and has been living off of that highlight play ever since. It's pretty unreal.
-
If they got to play the Pats every week Lawrence would be the MVP caliber QB they drafted and paid him to be.
-
Wish we'd hosed them on that Burns offer too.
-
I liked Polk as a prospect but man... he ain't it. At all. He can't create any separation at the NFL level and he is soft as room temperature butter at the point of the catch. That's an impossible to overcome combination. If you can't separate you better be a dog in traffic and if you aren't a dog in traffic you better be creating separation.
-
Defensively, the Pats look like us. Can't stop the run, can't rush the passer, can't cover. Offensively, they have a QB and nothing else. They're a mess.

I'm not watching this one. If y'all wanna watch this D make a rookie look like the love child of Cam Newton and Tom Brady y'all have fun with that. I'm good. LOL
