  1. Evidently country strong doesn't translate to throwing a football with NFL velocity and he's country dumb too.
  2. Sure. I liked his talent. Still do. Who knew he was a conceited spoiled brat? How's Kyle Trask and his wet noodle arm looking? Word is he still can't even learn a playbook.
  3. Do you ever get tired of having the worst QB takes on the Huddle? Judging by how loud and proud you are of them, that's a resounding no.
  4. Not if someone comes along willing to offer a moldy ham sandwich for Corral. Stroud isn't even on the roster right now and according to most isn't in the catbird seat to be our pick at #1 and he might still be more likely to be on our roster this year than Corral.
  5. Just keeping in mind, there's only been four 4000 yard rookie QBs in NFL history. Yeah it's a pass happy league now and yeah there's an extra game but setting 4000 yards as the floor is asking a LOT.
  6. That's what we're talking about here though. Arm talent.
  7. Yeah, Mahomes is an absolute stud but his cannon of an arm is a big part of it. Burrow doesn't have as big of an arm, but the similarity that both of those guys share is that they can seemingly throw the exact same ball whether they're in a clean pocket stepping into it or running for their life falling away. I think Young has some of that in him and in terms of arm strength he's a lot more similar to Burrow than Mahomes.
  8. We've definitely seen that Matt Rhule not playing a guy isn't necessarily indicative of him not being able to play (Bozeman). I really hope that Reich is a guy who is just going to play the best damn players. I really didn't feel like Ron or Rhule did that. Ron had his favorites based largely on loyalty. Rhule had his favorites seemingly based on his ego. Just play the best players.
  9. Right now I would assume he's penciled in as a starter outside. Chark and Marshall outside, Thielen in the slot. My hope is 800+ yards. 1000+ would be awesome. Chark, Marshall, and Thielen need to combine for about 1500 yards between them. 500 from Hurst. Another 500 or so from the other WRs. Another 250 or so from the other TEs. Toss in 500 combined from the RBs and that gets your rookie QB comfortable over 3000 passing yards. If the rookie is a baller, I could easily see Chark, Marshall, and Thielen producing a combined 2000 yards IF Chark plays all 17 games.
  10. Mahomes without that hose is probably an INT machine. The dude is a cheat code. He's Favre without the turnovers. You're not supposed to be able to have it both ways. That style is supposed to come with turnover opportunities.
  11. Stylistically I see the Mahomes comps for Young. But in terms of arm talent? There's a big difference.
  12. Honestly, Lamar should've been thankful to the Ravens that they used the non-exclusive tag. That allowed him to go out there and get his bag elsewhere if another team was willing to do it. They weren't. Uh oh.
  13. He should be mad at himself. He has a $250M contract with $133M guaranteed right now and making major agents sweat that he got that without any of them involved if he just wasn't a dumbass.
  14. Bryce Young missed a bathroom scale at his pro day and Lamar Jackson is trying to tank his career. Other than that? Not much.
  15. Sounds like drafting with desperation. Use cheap free agents for these things. There are still roster cuts to come. I mean, if you're relying on a late 3rd round rookie to be forced into a starting role at a key position, you're probably already fuged anyway.
  16. The future could be now though. I mean, Chark has one helluva injury history.
  17. I think we want a contributor with #39 but with a late 3rd rounder you're reaching pretty hard to try to find an instant impact guy at most positions. I'd prefer to think longer term at that point.
  18. The Ravens really did make him a very good offer and he just badly misjudged his value. And now he seems hellbent on blaming the Ravens for that and burning that bridge.
  19. Not even close. He flunked out. Norman became the NFL's highest paid CB when he signed with the Redskins.
  20. I honestly don't think that Chark and Thielen are going to dramatically alter our draft plans. Chark is on a one year prove it deal to stay healthy. If he does, then a long-term deal is certainly possible. Thielen is a 33 year old stop gap. The draft should be about trying to find long-term solutions, not quick fix bandaids. Quick fix bandaids is what second and third tier free agency is about.
  21. This. It was rumored that we were looking to trade up to #3 but the cost to go all the way up to #1 wasn't much more, so why not? At #3 I have to assume we would've been likely looking at Richardson and/or Levis. But at #1? I'm sold as fug on Richardson's talent, but my god it would take some gigantic brass balls to take him at #1 over Young and Stroud.
  22. I just want us to nail this pick. Whoever we pick I'm gonna root for him to be great and stay healthy.
  23. I mean, it's true. If you saw Bryce Young walk in and had no clue who he was and he told you he played football at Alabama you're think he's either a slot receiver, nickelback, or he's a kicker/punter. That's pretty much it.
  24. If he'd had an agent, he probably got paid two years ago. With his playing style and only one year removed from an MVP and coming off of another strong season, his agent would've been pushing HARD to get a deal done right then.
