  1. There was no pitch. I was bitching about how the board was ran in general. I never asked or offered to be a mod. I was nominated. I accepted. Period. Turns out a lot of the things I was bitching about are out of a mod's control anyway. I did think GJBC should've been banned long before he was. I did ban him. He was allowed back. Igo finally had enough and banned him himself. But don't let facts get in your way.
  2. Begged and pleaded... LOLOLOLOL That literally never happened. Igo banned PhillyB, not me.
  3. I'm okay with trading for other positions. I mean, sometimes you can have a good player stuck behind a great player and it makes sense for other teams to want to acquire the good player and for the team with both to get assets to bolster their roster elsewhere because they're not getting maximum value out of the good player stuck in a backup role. But teams just do not move on from franchise caliber QBs. If teams are willing to part ways with a franchise caliber QB, red flags should be flying. There are injury concerns, declining due to age concerns, off field stuff... SOMETHING is going on.
  4. Agreed and that's just too much unless you're sold on Stroud being a surefire HOFer. I like him a lot, but I'm not sold on that.
  5. Yeah, hopefully Reich learned from his Colts experience that you need to find your guy and commit to developing him. He had decent success with JAGs but that's a tough row to hoe.
  6. I'm an advocate of both. If Carr is released we should be in the mix. Then we should still pick Anthony Richardson if he's there at #9. What I DON'T want to do is trade for Carr. They're going to try to trade him first. We need to stay out of that.
  7. Yeah, I think we were intrigued and tempted by young potential offensive wunderkinds, but ultimately after the Rhule flop I think Tepper wanted a safer alternative. That's why I kind of expect a young potential offensive wunderkind at OC. It gives him the best of both worlds. Safer, more experienced HC with exciting potential at OC. We'll see...
  8. Like it matters? If he had to kick a 56 yarder there would've been a flag thrown just in case he missed to scoot him up for the retry. Just how that game was shaping up.
  9. Sounds like a guy who plans on cashing in as a FA and doesn't really care about pissing people off on his way out. "This is my last MFing year! WTF???"
  10. It's just insane. It was insane when he was brought in as the interim. It looked like blatant tanking. But to look hell-bent on making him the long-term HC? Wow.
  11. It'd be hilarious if Michigan just got tired of dealing with Harbaugh's bullshit and fired him.
  12. What a buffoon. I love Jeff Saturday but there's absolutely no way he should be an NFL HC with no prior coaching experience beyond the HS level. That's just completely insane.
  13. What a bullet Mahomes dodged. Working with Andy Reid instead of John Fox and avoiding the curse of being a Bears QB.
  14. Purdy possibly looking at Tommy John surgery. MRI revealed his elbow is fuged up bad.
  15. Yep. SB50 and opening day of 2016 forever altered my view of NFL officiating. Blows to the head of the QB was supposed to be THE focus for refs that year. There was quite a bit of uproar in the immediate aftermath of SB50 about the uncalled blatantly illegal hits on Cam. The NFL had to see it. You would've expected those officials to have gotten reamed and face some repercussions even if they weren't made public. But the fact that the same damn thing happened a few months later shows there was no such readings or repercussions and evidently the NFL was perfectly fine with the way things transpired.
  16. The value of players on cheap rookie contracts is real. You're going to have to pay Burns big $$$. Rookies have way lower cap hits.
  17. Honestly... I doubt Burns and #9 would get you #1.
  18. Williams looks like a stud but my concern with him translating to the NFL is he holds onto the ball forever. His average time to throw last year would've ranked near dead last amongst NFL QBs. That won't translate. He's gonna have to speed up his decision making.
  19. I honestly wouldn't be either but I have no idea if that's something Reich would consider or Tepper would sign off on. I have no clue how he was perceived within the organization.
  20. I don't know about any conspiracies or game fixing, all I know is that I saw two extremely poorly officiated games yesterday with the home town teams getting some serious home town cooking. If the NFL would ever actually hold officials accountable for atrocious performances it would go a long way toward dispelling with the tin foil.
  21. Big fan of both QBs. They're the two most fun to watch QBs in the league right now IMO. The officiating was trash and slanted towards KC. It just was.
  22. If that was the only bad call in the game I'd agree.
