  1. Again, in simply taking about how he physically looked out there, not play. He didn't look like he belonged in terms of physical tools.
  2. I'm not just talking about his play. I'm talking about simply looking like he athletically belonged. He looked like a guy who was simply overwhelmed by being on the field with better athletes. I didn't see any traits translating for him. That's the thing about guys who belong. Even if everything around them is shot you can see signs. I didn't see any signs.
  3. I don't dislike Corral. He was actually my #2 QB in the draft. I just can't sugarcoat how truly terrible he looked.
  4. It's precisely why leading up to the draft that I said the Panthers fan in me wants Howell but the Howell fan in me wants him to go pretty much anywhere else. Then he ends up with Rivera's bum ass.
  5. If you're the next staff though, what else do you have to go off of? You're gonna watch his college tape and you're going to watch those preseason snaps. You're going to narrow your potential HC list substantially if you tie them to Matt Corral. That's why it won't happen.
  6. You have to grade your current roster before trying to decide what to use a top 10 pick on. Just keep slinging poo. Critical thinking isn't your strong suit.
  7. Go back and watch all of his preseason work. He had one good throw which was ok a swing route to a RB. Everything else he basically looked like a fan who won a drawing to play QB that day. I know you like the guy and hell I had him as my #2 QB in the draft, but damn... he looked flat out awful.
  8. Passing on QB prospects due to holding out hope for Corral would be flat out insane
  9. Matt Corral looked unbelievably awful in preseason. Like worse than Pickles awful.
  10. Still the worst OL performance at the Combine I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure I said afterward that I wouldn't have the guy on my draft board, period. Undraftable.
  11. Like many of us said at the time, we got something for nothing. Getting anything in return for Greg Little was a massive win.
  12. Y'all wanna see paper bags over heads in BOA that bad?
  13. Because I don't have any respect for you as a human.
  14. I just understand what his trade value is. It's practically nothing. If he's being a good mentor to our top 10 pick rookie LT that's worth more than what we could get for him in a trade.
  15. I mean, Rhule hired the entire coaching staff too so I guess we're just doing fan drawings for coaches of the day for the rest of the season.
  16. You're not getting out from under the contract. I'd rather have the mentorship over the conditional 7th.
  17. I honestly think his value is more along the lines of a conditional 7th. Hence why I'd rather keep him.
  18. Please make him an in the box strong safety. Kam Chancellor. That's how he needs to be used.
  19. I'm done with this guy. If one of the other mods wants to let him out of jail, fine. But the spamming new threads for every thought that passes through his skull... fug.
  20. He is. But there's more to being an NFL player than just the Xs and Os and on-field technique. Mentors are a good thing for kids trying to learn how to be professionals while also dealing with being newly made millionaires.
  21. I'd take a strong veteran mentor for our top 10 pick rookie LT over a conditional late round pick. What are we gonna do, draft another long snapper?
  22. Great players becoming great coaches are a rarity indeed. Cam Erving is well past his prime as a player but he's a long time starting NFL LT so I'm sure he has a wealth of information and experience to share.
  23. Mentoring oftentimes has little to do with actual playing ability.
  24. I wish you nothing but the absolute best. Hang in there man.
