  1. Winston or Mayfield would easily be the best QB Pittman has ever had. Winston can put up the numbers his issue is turnovers. Pittman has been playing with trash. I'm not saying the guy is elite. I'm just saying I'd like to see what he could do with a legit starting caliber QB.
  2. I don't think anyone is freaking out about it. LOL
  3. There won't be a QB3 on the roster. We might have one on the PS.
  4. I'd honestly take PJ at vet minimum over Dalton at $8M simply because I don't expect to win anything with either on the field.
  5. Career means nothing. Who are you right now? That's all that matters. Lord knows the Panthers have plenty of history giving guys career achievement contracts.
  6. I don't think it's a huge need either honestly. Backup QB really only matters for contenders. Which is exactly why I'd just like to clear up the cap space. I'd be fine with paying Dalton if he wasn't starting to look like straight trash but I mean... it is what it is. At this point I'd rather have the cap space.
  7. And that list is going to include guys like Kirk Cousins who were paid to be starters, they're not backups by design the plan just didn't work out.
  8. I'd be good with freeing up some of that cap space. Dalton is being paid like a top tier backup and I think he was when we initially signed him but it sure looks like Father Time has caught him and is really giving him the business down there these days.
  9. Yeah, Rozeboom is alright if he's your worst LB out there but if you're counting on him being the best... oh wee mayne
  10. Hopefully the rest of the league is as high on our fringe of the roster WRs as we seem to be and hopefully there's a team out there with a need at WR and a similar position with their LBs and we can work out a swap. I'm not saying we're getting a major impact player out of it but basically get a guy who was maybe going to snag a spot on a deep roster or at least essentially skip to the very front of the line on the waiver wire giving up a player that we may have end up having to cut anyway.
  11. On the one hand, I get it. On the other hand, you gotta find someone who can do that while also holding their own after the ball is snapped. Nick Scott may be smart and he may really help get others in the right place pre-snap but he instantly becomes a liability as soon as the ball is snapped and it's go time.
  12. The NFL #1 WR has been a mythical beast for years on here. You're pretty much a #2 at best unless you're a future HOFer.
  13. Is Pittman a disappointment or is it that the Colts have had 12 starting QBs during his five years, none of them good? Despite that he's averaging about a 1000 yards per season over the past four years. Give the guy a QB and he might actually be something.
  14. Yeah, there's just no justification for keeping him on the roster. No more Karl Hanktons taking up a roster spot basically exclusively for special teams. If you're not kicking or long snapping you need to be able to plausibly contribute somewhere outside of special teams.
  15. Bingo. That's why it's critical IMO for Bryce to look good out of the gate this season.
  16. Plenty of us were scratching our heads about that signing at the time. Especially with our 3-4 defense. Wharton is kind of a one trick pony situational five tech DT. He doesn't have the beef to hold up against the run and he doesn't have the juice to shift outside. He's basically a situational pass rusher DT. If we paid him $40M+ and he can't start for a historically inept defense then holy poo...
  17. I hope so. I still need to see more from him in games that actually matter. So far we've basically seen him look good in games that don't matter. Regular season games when we're out of contention and a preseason game. I'll start to become a true believer when I see him play well in regular season games that matter.
  18. Tough to call those last 10 roster spots or so simply because I have a feeling several of them are guys who are currently on other rosters.
  19. Yeah, no clue what Horn was doing on that play. He acted like he was half ass playing cover two but no one else looked like it was cover two
  20. I'd say so far the entirety of the Tepper era has been a full on clown show.
  21. Worth a kick of the tires. He might be better than the worst LB currently on the roster.
  22. Yeah, 27ppg would've been good for the #8 scoring offense in the league last year. If you have a top 10 scoring offense and only win 3 games then your defense has to be a complete poo show.
