  1. I've attended a lot of NFL games and honestly the amount of unruly douchebags I've encountered is a really low percentage. Never saw it at a Broncos game and I've probably attended 20+ of those (used to have free suite tickets via work). Only twice at Panthers games and that was Eagles fans (SHOCKER) during the '03 SB season when John Kasay missed all the kicks and a Bucs fan at MNF. Those are honestly the only two that come to mind. I sat amongst almost entirely Pats fans last season during our game against them and it was basically just a lot of commiserating about our sorry ass QB situations (Darnold was unbelievably atrocious and Mac Jones wasn't much better).
  2. Yeah, he doesn't have to be great he just has to be pretty good. Look at what they accomplished with a mediocre at best Jimmy G.
  3. Looks like Wilson likely avoided blowing out his ACL. They generally know pretty quickly if the ACL is torn. There's some pretty basic tests they do to check for looseness and play in the joint. With that said, a partial tear would still be possible. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/08/12/robert-saleh-zach-wilsons-acl-is-supposed-to-be-intact-awaits-mri-results/
  4. The Lions only have one playoff win? Holy poo. Now THAT is depressing.
  5. Injuries always suck, but injuries in practice or games that don't count REALLY suck.
  6. True fact, the first NFL jersey I ever owned was a Browns Bernie Kosar jersey. I was probably like 7 and just wanted an NFL jersey. Bernie Kosar's was probably in the clearance rack.
  7. That's not a QB betrayal index, it's an offense betrayal index. It doesn't do anything to factor in how much of the offensive burden the QB is carrying.
  8. Top speed on one specific play is just that. Very rarely do you have the opportunity to achieve top speed on a football game. 40 time, shuttle times, 3 cone, etc. are probably better indications of "game speed" because they're all about acceleration and change of direction ability.
  9. He has PLENTY of money. If he wanted his grandiose facility he could pay for it outright tomorrow. The reality is that he wants other folks to pay for it.
  10. If that's my 3rd round rookie QB in his first live NFL action I'm pleased. He didn't look overwhelmed and showed a legit NFL arm and plus athleticism. Overall, I'd consider that a positive preseason debut. Anyone expecting him to be running around like Lamar Jackson or Michael Vick just wasn't being realistic. Yeah, he can run a little bit. But this guy got ran down by some small school LBs. He ain't Lamar or Vick.
  11. He's a raw but very talented 3rd round pick. What were they expecting? Lamar Jackson? Gotta have realistic expectations. Willis basically needs a redshirt year at the NFL level. Just enjoy seeing the flashes of talent and maybe next year at this time you can start to understand what you might have in him. Panthers fans should be taking the same approach with Matt Corral.
  12. I don't care if the team headquarters is a dilapidated double wide trailer in Gastonia and neither would anyone else if we were winning.
  13. Year 7 of the process is probably occurring at somewhere like Wake Forest.
  14. This coaching staff is desperate to try to save their jobs. Of course they're going to ride the hell out of their most talented player. They have nothing to lose.
  15. You have to be hopeful about a 1st rounder until you're sure he's a bust.
  16. Not really. Hell, I don't even think the Steelers are all that interested. Last I saw, he was still #3 on the depth chart. Not exactly what you're hoping for out of a 1st round QB. With a mid-round guy you're anticipating him to be a developmental prospect but you'd hope that 1et rounder would come in and at least challenge for a starting role. Especially given the guys in front of him
  17. Selfishly I'm going to see a lot of Sam Howell and Matt Corral. They were my #1 and #2 QBs in this draft class.
  18. I'm not surprised. He was asking him about pivotal plays. Those are likely ingrained in his head after untold hours of film study.
  19. We have some good family friends who are first generation Italian Americans. They say pizza is the one Italian food that America does better than the Italians. With that said, obviously Domino's is not our finest offering.
  20. I'd take a deflated football signed by Tom Brady.
  21. He was 300 pounds as a HS recruit. http://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/217018/mekhi-becton He was 364 at the Combine. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/mekhi-becton/32004245-4381-4547-3cf4-9d445d134d9a He hit 400 last year. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/jets_ol_mekhi_becton_reached_400_pounds_last_season_amid_recovery_from_knee_surgery/s1_127_37446762
  22. Becton is a talented guy but everyone knew the weight would cause problems if he didn't get in better shape. He hasn't and it is.
  23. Jerking the tag out from under Norman at the last second absolutely gutted that locker room and ensured we'd suffer the dreaded SB loss hangover.
