Media touting tonight as The Shedaur Show

That'd be my plan. Figure out which one of your rookie QBs has the most upside/potential and throw him out there once the season is basically over. -

Yeah, Sanders had a very nice debut preseason performance but the folks acting like he's arrived based on that performance are getting way out ahead of themselves. -
I won't be surprised if Graham disappoints. Maybe not outright bust but never lives up to his draft status. The more I watched him at Michigan the more I came away impressed by the other Michigan DT. I think he might be the real player. Usually when you have two high level prospects in the same college unit one of them ends up getting fraud checked in the NFL as being largely carried by the other guy. Peppers and Ryan Sims at UNC comes to mind. Lavar Arrington and Courtney Brown at Penn State, etc.

3/7 for 26 yards against the starters -
Seriously. It's the one unit where we have some depth or at least I thought we did. Reports on the backups' actual performance has been not good. But I'd like to not have to seriously test that depth in the regular season.

I was loudly against Bryce pre-draft due to physical talent and stylistic concerns. Now I'm just hoping for the best. I'm always happy to be wrong of it works out for the best for the team.
-
Yeah, the open free agency every year is just ridiculous. Tough to be a fan when there's such a massive churn to the roster every year and you're looking at the field like "who the fug are these people???". Basketball is even worse to be honest.
-
Oh good grief. Stop it. I get it if you're a Gamecocks fan but notice how you're on an island here? There are undoubtedly plenty of Gamecocks fans here but they ain't walking the plank with you on this one.

TMac/XL/Coker is definitely the goal IMO. Right now, the biggest question mark on that equation seems like XL.
-
Yeah, there's a lot of guys on D1 rosters who are hellacious athletes but just aren't football players. They're just not natural to the sport. But college rosters are so massive that you can still roll the dice on quite a few of those guys and some will end up working out or you'll at least he able to find some niche roles for them. XL basically was one of those guys until he blew up and had a great final season as a 5th year super senior. I mean, he was playing in college at the same age as a typical 2nd year pro. You gotta grade that year on one helluva curve.

I could see it if a legit contender is in a pinch at WR.
-
To me, if it comes down to making a tough decision you gotta think about the future. We aren't competing for a SB this year. We're trying to drag ourselves out of the cellar while building toward the future. If you have to make a cut at WR that you don't want to make I think you have to cut the 35 year old who was already considering retirement. Hell, let him announce his retirement to save face but then process the paperwork as a cut so he's still paid his guarantees.
-
He just doesn't look like a natural WR. Yeah, I'm concerned. I was really hoping he would look considerably better with a full NFL season and off-season under his belt.
-
If it came down to Coker or AT, I'm taking the younger guy with a future ahead of him all day everyday.
-
Give me T-Mac, XL, Coker, Thielen, Renfrow, and #6 comes down to special teams. Hopefully Horn.
-
I remembered his first four years being weak but damn, I didn't remember them being THAT weak. Oof
-
Move on? No. Play the guy who has looked better so far and looked better last year over him? Yeah
-
Oh give me a break. Plenty of first round NFL WRs played with trash QBs. Look at T-Mac. I'm sure Coker had a John Elway throwing to him at fuging Holy Cross. LOL
-
That's why I didn't want him. He basically did nothing in college until a super senior year that wouldn't have even happened had it not been for NCAA COVID year policy.
-
That's what I expect too but if XL doesn't impress I hope they have a quick trigger finger on making the change.
-
Forget bubble, they need to be asking if he's gonna replace XL in the starting lineup.

Injuries aside, agreed.

Hopefully, just hard to say with him kissing the last two weeks

I have no dog in this fight. Play the better player who has earned the spot and feel pretty good about having a decent backup option/plan B. Lord knows there's not many of those on this roster.

Wild Idea.. Trade for Shemar Stewart

Well that's a bizarre thread bump. LOL
