I just don't see any evidence of coaching. All of his teams have played poor defense and there's no offensive system to speak of. Our half court "offense" is basically one guy beating the leather off of the ball while the other four stand around. That's why we end up jacking up so many ugly shots deep into the shot clock. When you now have four years of the same thing it's not the players' fault. Bacot's rebounding abilities his a lot of issues. We made a living off of second chance points during Bacot's time on the Hill.

If Hubert misses the tourney this year that'll be missing the tourney in two out of four years. That won't cut it in Chapel Hill. Not on the hardwood. Wes Miller has built winning programs everywhere he's been as a head coach. I loved Hubert as a player and I don't think I've ever heard anyone utter a bad word about the man as a person. It's not personal in the least for me. I just had major concerns about hiring someone to coach at UNC who had no prior head coaching experience. Just because you're a long time assistant for a great coach at UNC doesn't mean you're equipped to be the man. Bill Guthridge says "Hi!" If it wasn't for a fluke red hot run to the title game in his first season Hubert's seat would be hotter than the surface of the sun right now.

If Wes Miller keeps winning and Hubert keeps losing it's going to be an easy decision.

The unbelievable irony of the forum's biggest bandwagoner trying to throw down the gauntlet of closing the door for bandwagoners to hop on. That's amazing stuff.

I'm all for letting those one and done guys go to duke and Kentucky. Our last championship team had no long-term NBA players and only one 1st round pick. Then we came a few minutes away from another championship with no 1st round picks. I'm all for recruiting top 30-60 type guys who project as really good college players but borderline NBA players. Keep them around 3-4 years and try to build experienced, balanced teams. With the NIL money they'll be able to make they won't be itching to jump into the draft unless they're 1st round locks.

Probably the opposite. I think the powers that be realize that football is the new king by miles. It's been king for years but now basketball is way distant in the rearview. You need football to be a real revenue generator to help support the basketball program. Just look at the SEC vs. ACC head to head basketballs matchups this year. The SEC is absolutely dominating with that football $$$.
