Official Falcons at Panthers Gameday Thread!
LinvilleGorge replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope Jeff Nixon proves to be brilliant. I mean, I don't expect it but I hope. -
I imagine he may want to have another go of playing with the big boys with some big boys of his own. I'm not sure if he's cut out for it but I'm also not sure that he's not.

Gonna really suck if he ends up elsewhere and has great success just further cementing that Rhule is the problem. Brady's first NFL OC gig was undeniably a flop but the guy was given trash to work with at QB and OL and by the time we brought Cam back, Rhule had already dictated that the entire offensive gameplan be revamped into what was basically no longer Brady's offense. Gonna be interesting to see how much NFL interest he gets. If he's a hot name with multiple interviews that confirms that the rest of the NFL basically knows that Rhule is trash. Something I suspect is already a prevalent view.

Losing Out is the Way

The loser of this game IS the winner. -
Brady Christensen to start at Guard this week
LinvilleGorge replied to BlitzMonster's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fug it. I don't even care anymore. I'm at the point of actually hoping for Rhule to make as many stupid decisions as possible to hopefully ensure his firing. Play Darnold when he's cleared. Stick with him after he throws three INTs before halftime. -
Maybe working from home isn't a good idea?
LinvilleGorge replied to PanthersATL's topic in Huddle Lounge
There's a lot of talent that gets lost due to relocation too. And there's a LOT of talent that will get lost in coming years to companies that are willing to offer remote working options and the companies that will suffer those losses are the ones who will not. -
Maybe working from home isn't a good idea?
LinvilleGorge replied to PanthersATL's topic in Huddle Lounge
In coming years I think working from home is going to become more and more the norm as old dinosaur "butts in seats" management retires and new management sees opportunities to save tons of overhead by getting rid of all these office spaces that honestly just aren't necessary with today's technology. -
The State of Panther Fandom/ falcons
LinvilleGorge replied to OceanPanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
The entire fanbase is basically checked out at this point. It's obvious we need a completely new direction as a franchise and that's way more defeating than simply needing a few holes on the roster filled. -
*incoming hot take alert* Honestly, if Willis was playing in a P5 conference consistently facing good teams I think he'd be considered a late round flyer type of pick.

Day 2? You mean that day when we have no draft picks because of brilliant trades?

I know Rhule is bad, but Meyer might be worse
LinvilleGorge replied to ENCPantherfan2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Meyer is a total dumpster fire. Rhule just isn't a good NFL football coach. -
I think Pickett is a damn good college QB with limited NFL potential.

Jordan Gross talks arm length (Rhule is full of poo)
LinvilleGorge replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep, basically just common sense. Sure, you'd ideally prefer an OT with Go Go Gadget arms but I'll take an OT with elite feet and agility and a little shorter arms than the guy with long ass arms and nothing else (see: Little, Greg). Just like you'd love your WRs to be 6'2"+ but you aren't gonna turn down a Smitty just because he's not.- 64 replies

Case in point. https://www.yahoo.com/news/capitol-riot-suspect-wife-were-111434519.html "During the search of Kenyon's car, deputies found an AR-15 rifle and a Glock handgun, KOLO reported." Had there been a dog there there's a 100% chance it would've been called a pit bull in this article.

Sad but true.

Zion Williamson is super athletic and 6'6" and by the looks of things has eaten himself into being heavy enough to play LT.

Yep. Done.

I've said it a few times recently. Both seasons look eeriely similar. Promising start followed by a faceplant a few games in and no ability to adapt and recover. I think they're right. It's just college coaches doing college coaching. They think they can simply out-execute everyone else. Scheming? Nah. We do what we do. We just have to execute better. That's probably why Rhule couldn't beat good college teams either. When he ran into more talented teams in college he lost. When he runs into teams that have a few games of film to study at the NFL level, he loses more often than not. Phil Snow has floated this turd. He's the only coach on this staff who has somewhat impressed me schematically.

Most shelters are over capacity right now. It shouldn't surprise anyone. A lot of people are just pieces of poo who waste good oxygen.

Several players had career years last year. I didn't like Brady's play calling at all in recent weeks, but that was after Rhule started speaking out about what he wanted out of the offense. I just don't think Rhule and Brady were ever on the same page. Rhule is basically a young John Fox despite what he says. He wants to win with smothering defense and ball control offense. Good luck winning championships with that in the modern NFL... or high level college football for that matter.

Well, he has a $70M contract so he can sure afford to buy some tickets.

If we lose to Atlanta does Tepper fire Rhule
LinvilleGorge replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Approaching the end of his second season I would expect to be seeing progress on that curve.
