  1. He definitely does. I'm just seeing zero indication that potential is ever going to be realized.
  2. $2M is too much for a backup TE unless he's the clear cut #2 and we plan on using a significant amount of two TE sets.
  3. KK is just physically washed up. That's just the way it goes in the NFL. I don't feel bad for him since he should be financially set for life several times over. Boston might still be available because there seems to always be a significant gap between what he thinks he's worth and what NFL teams think he's worth.
  4. The past is usually the best indicator of the future. It's no secret on here that I have serious doubts that Darnold is going to recover from his.
  5. I'm not sold on Darnold being the answer but I am sold on the guy who went 32/56 for 368 yards 1 TD and 5 INTs last season NOT being the answer. PJ threw an INT on damn near 10% of his pass attempts. That's wild. That's nearly double the INT rate of any other QB with 50+ attempts last year.
  6. @Zod and the Huddle servers if he throws a pick on his first attempt
  7. Hailing back to the Spanish Armada, a massive fleet of warships infamous for being a hugely expensive mismanaged utter disaster. I gotta admit, this fits really well.
  8. This would make sense being that the red wolf is nearly extinct with it's last foothold in the wild being in northeastern NC. You know, kinda like the Washington Football Team.
  9. They've done dumb things every step of the way. Don't change course now.
  10. Don't Beat Ourselves. So cringe. Some things need to be left in college.
  11. This whole situation has just been badly botched. Step one of deciding to change the name should've been deciding on a new fuging name. This WFT "place holder" thing was just dumb from the start. Might as well stick with it at this point. It's dumb and unoriginal, but hey... if the shoe fits, wear it.
  12. The best positive indicator for him was not suiting up vs. the Colts last week. Honestly, I don't really care. Really liked him in the draft and thought he had the potential to be the best TE in the draft class. But he just hasn't developed. I honestly think he was better as a rookie than he's ever been since.
  13. Erving is dinged up? Shocking. Please quit fuging around with this Cam Erving pipedream. He's average when healthy and rarely healthy.
  14. I would've thrown that bitch straight in the garbage immediately after those three consecutive false starts on 3rd down. Welp, that ain't working.
  15. We had him last year. The Pats could've just sent us a 6th for Teddy instead of spending #15 on Jones.
  16. I think it has a lot to do with our cap space situation really opening up next year. If Darnold hits, $19M next year will still be cheap for a legit starting QB. If he flops, we can afford to eat the hit. Calculated gamble. I think the math is bad on the calculation, but we'll see how it works out.
  17. I don't think it was smart, but it's still not a long-term commitment. It was less of a commitment than we made to Teddy.
  18. Nope. Simply responding to a post suggesting we trade next year's 1st and our '23 2nd for an OT. Kinda a statement of reality. We'd be fresh out of trade bait and premium picks to acquire a QB via the draft. I don't think anyone in the Panthers organization is 100% sold on Darnold being the answer. If they were, they'd be trying to ink him a long-term extension right now while his value is low.
  19. My Eagles fan buddy speaks about him about like we did of Greg Little.
  20. I actually wanted Whitworth. But the difference was that he was a FA.
  21. Then if Darnold flops and we watch some other team take a highly rated QB prospect with that pick... oh wee mayne. Fitts and Rhule would truly be all in on Darnold at that point. If Darnold flops, they would have written their own obituary.
  22. A 35 year old OT feels like the definition of a bandaid.
